Efficient Herb Run

Has anyone made/found an update to the efficient herb run from Hyger years ago? I'm wondering if we should be bringing both ash and bottomless compost bucket, and if its worth bringing broad arrows with more space (from divine pouch), or anything I may be overlooking.

Is there a rule or video to reference for when to cast and when to bucket? I imagine its whenever you need to sbs?

This is what I did for years:

• salt/poh to troll stronghold, use ash
• lunar tele to catherby, use ash
• salt/poh to weiss, use ash
• cloak 4 to ardy, use ash
• xeric's necklace to hosidius, cast sbs + use bucket
• arceuus tele to harmony, cast sbs + use bucket
• arceuus tele to fenk, use ash
• ring 4 to fally, use ash
• farming cape to guild if needed

you can leave out harmony easily, even fenk if you care

I do
-Ardy patch
-Trollheim clean herbs on the way to patch then use clean herb on leprechaunr + sbs
-harmony patch, keep herbs in inv/sack
-clean herbs on the way to weiss patch, use clean herbs on leprechaun after harvesting then sbs
-tele to fenkenstrain for mory patch
-fally patch
-Farm guild/hosi/Catherby in any order

@austere current does the concept of "good patches" really matter unless you're farming thousands of seeds? From my more casual farm runs it seems incredibly more based on RNG than anything else (only hard diaries done and only 90 farming)

I 100% could just have recency bias from having wonky RNG, but why I wanted to ask cause rn it only seems like it'd even out after many many many herb runs

If you want to put good seeds in bad patches there's nothing stopping you 😄

You're gonna need to do plenty of herb runs to bank a meaningful Herblore level so IMO yes it matters

I guess it's one of those things where RNG (good or bad) will even out over time, so if a patch is statistically better, like it's literally coded to give more yield (catherby), then you defo want to put your good seeds there because assuming you farm herbs over and over and over and over, eventually you're going to hit what's "expected", which is, more yield.
