What stats specifically do you guys prefer for cg? I've been seeing players melee/range or mage/range. If so, what levels did you aim before or notice when you became consistent?

im pretty bad so getting 92 ranged kinda made a big difference

in general I recommend 92 range, 100cb in melees and 80 magic
and use all three weapons always
i.e. the first two you find
but if you have to ditch one style its range, thats easily the worst one at low stats
so the two combinations you suggest are the worst possible choices

I find the mage/range only combo that a lot of players run are a handicap. You learn the boss way better with meele and long term its a benifit to be able to do all 3

if you can dodge the t2 armour method and just do t1 right from the start imo you're in a great position

Just have a learning mindset and expect to die a lot. Learn from the mistankes instead of tilting
True tile helps a lot to learn where you (and npc/objects) "really" are- as it looks like you are 1 tile behind usually

it's also worth bearing in mind that cg is just hard. and a lot of the time is the first piece of hard pvm that you'll do on an account so learning will take time
i tilted off the face of the earth for a while learning but it does eventually click
still no bowfa but it feels better now than at the start

I’m approaching 650kc, I’m watching movies during t1 prep and then autopilot the kill. All the Alchs help with maxing so it’s keeping me going. I die maybe once per 30ish kc at this point.
Just keep getting the reps in, lots of great advice in this disc.

83 atk/83str or 80atk/86str puts you within 5% dps of the bow w/ 92 ranged. w/ 70 def and 70 pray those stats put you right at 101-102 cmb with the least amount of xp needed
