#Acceptable time to go for korasi?

if you want to go for one I'd go after bowfa + hasta
fwiw I dont think trying to get tasks, or doing revs, is the fastest way to go for it
Artio requires exactly and only bowfa
The other two really just require a good crush setup
I use bludgeon, hasta is an option but bringing a defender is awkward so it's a lot worse
Fang might be good, I haven't calced it
Bowfa might be competitive at spindel
whats wrong with defender?
I thought you can 3-item it with hasta, defender and one more (b ring?) protected
Well, that means you're not bringing another item
On venenatis slayer helm is really good
Home boy is after a revenant task so spider tasks are basically free
- Getting a rev weapon first isn’t going to save you time going to voidwaker. If you want both rev weapons then tureal revs straight for one then start bossing with that weapon as well.
- If you already have bofa and hasta you’re there gear-wise. Most late game upgrades won’t help. E.g. prims, bandos, masori, even tbow/scythe/shadow aren’t used so you’re free to send whenever.
- Voidwaker REALLY shines at ToA, so I’d fit it in before you go for fang whether that’s an early fang -> slayer or a post-dex or post-lance grind.
- Slayer tasks - bears and spiders are nice, skeleton is irrelevant because of salve. I’ll recommend if any of these apply to you
A. You’re doing the big bosses. In bigger teams if you don’t get mvp or last hit then it won’t count as a kill for task so they’ll last pretty long.
B. You dislike being in the wildy - this is me. I’d rather tureal for an hour to save 30 mins in the wildy every time.
C. You want to built up slayer points - tureal skip every wildy task you don’t want and do every 10/50th task at Duradel/Konar.
Re: bruh defender.
Being able to drop defender is great for big bosses where you will die above 20 wildy, I use elder maul for that reason.
Maul/slayer helm/bring/bulwark for venanatis
No way this man said to use an elder maul! ☠️
Dps calc doesn’t lie
Anyway, “go grind out cox for an elder maul before voidwaker” wasnt advice, it was responding to the earlier “why defender”
Bulwark seems wasteful for spider when you can just one tap with darts/knives and not add risk(or bring something that gives more damage if you're willing to add risk)
It’s for groups not just your 2 spiders. Clears all of them + decent hits on boss
What about Voidwaker in ToA really makes it shine, just curious? Like if you've got a BGS for the few bosses you'd want to spec it on, you're using yellow keris for healing, and you've got DDS for warden core...where is Voidwaker being used and how good is it really?
its slightly better than claws as a dps spec, and also its a 4t weapon for core
so it works well in combination with fang, especially for 3d runs without dds
unfortunately it doesnt work on akkha bullet hell, but its a good dps spec on the kephri overlords, zebak near the end of the kill, baba always and warden p4
warden p4 voidwaker? Not bgs to lower def?
I think neither one is worth the risk or frankly even the effort, if you lose some time on the swaps or have to brew up from taking a hit thats already more significant losses than the specs will gain
but if you want to, voidwaker beats bgs
personally I think having the option of a partisan spec outweighs the utility of saving around 5 seconds from two bgs specs though
I see. So questionable for Warden, vs just not using a spec. Useful @ end of Zebak, a specific minion on Kelphri. And...I guess just Warden core is the definitive winner?
yeah, once you have a fang the warden core is an issue and might require a swap regardless
slotting in voidwaker there is a nice one
also its really good if you do not have a yellow partisan yet, since now its more useful in other situations too. You missed baba btw
Ohh, baba always. Did miss that. Even moreso than BGS? Interesting
Honestly just been chucking BGS @ most everything and then yellow keris rest of the fight
no after bgs, but the first spec is usually enough
I meant for the rest of the fight
Easy to do, gotcha, since you're meleeing anyways. Makes sense.
And I guess with VW you're just using that as your primary "whack" wep for core, dumping specs, then swapping to BGS on last hit?
its also relevant that voidwaker hits regardless of accuracy and that ToA bosses have insane defence scaling
pretty much everywhere else claws is higher dps
but in ToA its voidwaker
yep
cant spec btw, its magic damage
if you want more damage on core from your spec bar, use a bgs spec instead of bgs whack
Ooooh. Honestly did not even know he was flat out immune to magic on core. Always just dds'd anyways. So just whack then. How very staight forward lol
he's not immune, but melee always hits a max hit while magic and range roll as normal
so they are basically half dps
Aha
TIL. Neat. Well, I dont have a VW but this looks neat. Been wanting to go for one so this looks like a decent enough "justification" for it.
its also just a good melee dps spec weapon if you dont have claws
definitely a good item to have
Yeah I dont. Missing a good dps spec wep right now. Have just about everything else, and no plans to farm CoX just yet....so I may as well, right?
yeah, I dont know how long it takes to obtain these days but its a nice item
And then for revs, is it more optimal to do knights? I was doing Orks on my previous tasks, but I’m considering doing knights
Tons of discussion of this in #1067758168907731006, but I don't think there's really a consensus given the variables of pker activity, what you're willing to risk, how good you are at escaping and kph vs. tureal ratios.
Got it
fwiw i think risking defenders/capes/black mask (not your imbued one) is pretty fine for singles+ versions of spider and skele
either instatele or rely on freeze and gap/logout rly reliable.
if you have another acc you can huge risk on singles bosses
