These are my current stats. Currently trying to get SOTE requirements and I have about 2.4m cash. Have the teaks for 70 con banked. Really just wondering about herblore.

i think doing kingdom for herbs is considered to be not worth it

#

i did it in addition to farming contracts when i reached a point where i had extreme excess of gold, but at the point you're at in the game i wouldnt recommend running kingdom for herblore xp.

So would you just recommend keep doing farm runs/contracts and eventually ill have 70 herb banked?

contracts are ur best friend for herblore xp

#

u can also do some barb fishing and use the roe/caviar to squeeze some extra herblore xp out of some of the pots u make

kingdom is a good use for excess gp

#

or to get a few days worth of logs

#

kingdom for herb is basically buying ranars the gp/xp is really expensive

dont use kingdom before you have a good source of gp (cg)

Is there any extra way aside from farm runs to get reliable herb xp?

Barblore

But you seem to be rapidly discovering exactly why it's so important to rush 85 farming, sorry

Hard farming contracts

#

Aka fastest way to get seeds per active time

Contracts/Slayer/Master Farmer/Kingdom were all effective for me for seeds/herbs.

Enough has been said about Kingdom here, it’s effective and passive but very expensive and I’ll leave it at that.

Start optimizing your farming guild for contracts specifically. This will help with getting more contracts done per hour.

Also make sure you keep up on Hespori and use your Animas. Prio: Iasor>Attas>Kronos. If you’re limited on them make sure when you grow one that you plan to try and do your herbs runs on cooldown to optimize the efficiency of each Anima seed.

At your current farming level you are not at the optimal level for max ranarrs/hour but it’s still definitely your best option for seeds. You will fail a lot and take tremendous damage at Master Farmer, bring food, get yourself the Rogues Outfit, and use Dodgy Necklaces. If you have Hard Ardougne completed make sure to pickpocket from a Master Farmer located on Gielinor for the you’ll get and additional 10% success rate.

All master farmers are on Gielinor

Yes, Gielinor is the planet, Zeah is a continent on it

#

Zanaris, rc altars, and some fairy ring locations aren't, but there's no master farmers at any of those

waxen gyro
#

Understood, silly to specify on the Wiki then. I thought the mainland was Gielinor.

#

well i dont think u get the boost if u pickpocket a farmer irl

I think it's not at all accurate to say that master farmers are the best option for ranarrs, if that's what you're suggesting

Its highest ranarr seeds per hour but not the best option

#

in fact I'd consider it a waste of time almost always

#

since it's incredibly easy to get a lifetime supply of ppots and srestores through other means these days

If you arent a UIM master farmers should quite literally never be clicked on (unless im forgetting a diary step)

topaz flicker
#

you really need to dodge all good sources of ranarrs (hard contracts, sepulchre, toa, snapdragons from slayer) if you ever want to get a shot at running out of ppots and srestores

its genuinely such dead content nowadays

I’m not disagreeing, I personally never did them, never needed too but I figured I’d throw it out there. I just remember early/mid Ironman going through the ppot drought. I did also sorts of things for ppots lol. Farmed maniacals for ppots while leveling magic. I’d never recommend it but as my GIM is my first play through of any RuneScape game I had to figure out a lot of content on my own, with the help of the Wiki ofc.

fair enough 😄 and very nice

#

for future players reading this looking for advice though, I'd recommend against master farmers, if at all possible

#

(though its still preferable to not using your damage% prayers)

#

its wild how much better hard contracts are over med, next iron is doing tithe farm for sure

#

and i dont like tithe at all

#

not just loot wise but another tier of downgrading

#

vs med preplants
