can't figure this out, considering a task of like 150 will take several hours at like 12-14k exp n hour and there's no uniques that seem that useful. mid 80s slayer, bowfa, no super anti fires

It's cuz it gives you GP, Prayer, Cooking
The GP is useful macroefficiently for maxing, even if it tanks Slayer momentarily
That said, these days you can get away without Vorkath because it's easier to get prayer from ash slayer and the ZMI buffs have made GP easier to get too
The Slayer sheet predates those changes by a few months, but Vorkath is still not a bad option overall if you have fang or lance. I'm not sure I'd bowfa it anymore

Basically accept a small time loss on Slayer to win GP overall and do faster methods for other skills (e.g. mahogs for con) instead of doing slower methods for other skills and faster Slayer. That said, as I mentioned times have changed and skilling gives more GP than before so this isn't as needed anymore. Still a not bad option if you want to be able to throw around money more freely
