its really close either way, I find it quite comfortable
baba deals a lot of chip damage with just a hasta, and bowfa baba doesnt deal significant amounts of damage

but its a bonus, not really a required part of the strategy
more often than not you dont get one
you can step back every shot and if baba is using the shadow stomp thing she'll stay frozen, creating gap
so you take far fewer attacks total
boulder skipping is tick perfect with a bowfa though so you'd need to practice that
