I know this is going to be a suboptimal question, but I'm looking to start some pvm as a break from the ol' sote requirements grind. I'm at Addy gloves, got my DD, dskimmy, ibans and rcb but no real gear to speak of past that.

Where/when does PvE start? I'm looking at barrows or maybe dag Rex? Or would I be wasting more time then usual even attempting.

Stats included for reference.

go rex, acquire b ring

barrows isn't all that worthwhile but you can do it for funsies if you want

Rex had a lot of appealing drops and decenly low requirements so I was definitely considering that

yeah zerker (i) is really good and easy to get

#

as long as you don't go 500 dry for it like i did :^)

I see a lot of barrows gear in recommended setups for other bosses, where does that usually fit in?

surreal turtle

recommended setups are kinda dated i think

I wouldn't bother with barrows until you have house pool and barrows tele, probably. And probably trident or something. You can do it with way way less and other transportation methods but it feels really bad

yeah early barrows is slow and the rewards just aren't that great

The following question I have is where the combat diary fits into the flow of things? Is there a point I should focus on knocking out tasks?

I think Parasailer and iron bruh are trying to fit them into their guide? but I'm not sure

I gotcha

They're definitely worth doing, the rewards are pretty nice for shortening the PC grind as well as the barrows drain

Yah, seeing KBD and obor both on the easy diary confused me because those look very far apart as far as requirements go

from there you can branch out and do whatever you want really. max, more pvm, gm, etc.

oh wow that guide is a lot

#

is there a more "broad strokes" guide for checkpoints/goal order?

this is outdated but still generally serviceable

I'm in the process of making a new one with hand-drawn art and a more readable style
