Quick question, I’m just guessing it’s all rng but is there a strategy to staying in middle and what not? I think it’s luck of the draw. Example running away from phase 3 tornadoes on outside because in way, it’s only pathing is around hunleff then boxes show up along outer edge as I’m mid run running around and get stacked. Also a shitty one is maneuvering through middle with small clicks and he turns prayer off

There's never only room around hunleff, you can run through nados or just run in a 2x2 square or something
With f-keys turning on prayer should be long enough where you can walk 2+ tiles and go over to click overhead ime
Can record your runs to see if you got in a bad situation or it was preventable, imo it usually is preventable
Most times seems like a bad situation
But then again I feel like I should back track instead of moving to tighter spots
Since I can run back through the tornadoes
Post a vid of an instance that you have questions about if possible. Hard to say what to do. If you need to run away from a big stack of nados and there is little room to move due to floor tiles. I often just take the hunleff stomp
sorry for the garbage quality
this is from some question I answered like 1-2 years ago
anyway the idea is practicing seeing how to path away from stuff diagonally
shortest path away from danger often involves diagonals
I think the best way to be safe in p3 is quickly figuring out the way to get to safety
and also having a plan of action ahead of time
for example in this pic I know that the tornadoes will trail me and I'll be able to sneak in shots along the "1" and the "3"
there's also this video
not perfect but the p3 has plenty of pathing

you don't wanna make a habit of running through tornadoes
too hard to judge and if you fuck it up you get blasted
once nados are stacked even one of those little 4x4 squares is enough to kite them successfully
stand in/near middle as they spawn and they'll stack faster
in an emergency i'd prefer running under hunllef to running through a nado stack
at least you can tick eat a stomp
You can use a plugin for their true tile and imo not hard to judge
Can also run diagonally around them as they do diagonals first then straight lines
yeah but still, one tick off and you potentially get instagibbed on t1 armor
better to just kite them
diagonals are good
Not better to kite them if it pushes you into a corner
If you can go through with ideally but also without diagonals to get into open space instead that's better
I disagree, it's free DPS if you know how to dodge
But I agree that it's not something I would recommend to learners nor does it provide so much value that it's necessary
Better to lose DPS and not die than lose 4 mins of prep
But if you're confident then go for it
After like 600+ KC I got used to it so I didn't mind. Keeps things fresh when you go dry
I think aswell what has made it easier is moving him into the corner
Sometimes he is in middle and takes up so much space to maneuver. And get blasted
yeah, having hunllef in dead center is a problem
getting it into the corner is kind of a headache though
Gonna resurrect this.. How do you get him into the corner?
pretty much just have to wait for it to path there randomly before entering
you can move it by walking under carefully
Gotcha, that makes sense.
also if it's all the way in the corner/against a wall, you can't run to the opposite wall or it will step out a tile
moving it by walking under is RNG (I think) so it's only really good for moving it slightly, like if it's dead center
Gotcha.. I appreciate it. I've been getting my ass kicked fairly hard by CG
It’s such an annoyance if you don’t have time to wait and then try to step under and move him while attacking
Right as he animates to attack step under first corner tile he will step back you won’t have to move
Can get tricky bc damn hotspot time will spawn smack dap in middle and then won’t be able to move him for a cycle
If he in the corner your success rate should sky rocket makes it 100000x easier to maneuver phase 3
Also another question… at what point should I start doing tier 1? Or should I just stick with tier 2s still
I suggest just running through tornadoes. It's not RNG, tornados move 1 tile and you move 2 tiles. This means if tornadoes are NOT 3, 6, or 9 tiles away from you, you will never take damage trying to to run through them
you dont really, its a waste of time
I wouldnt step under and I wouldnt wait
and I also wouldnt run through tornados
if you're doing CG I would do t1 armour
t2 is just worse
Does steel skin help in cg?
yes
yeah it does help especially on range, depends on your stats if you should / shouldn't use imo
I personally use if I don't get melee first 2 because piety drains quite harshly with 2 pots
I’m always running bow and staff and I have 80 def
def isn't the defining factor I'd try halberd too it's a good timesave to be more flexible
Also seems rng sometimes rarely though he just blasts me all fight
shouldn't be rng with proper play ime but can greatly punish mistakes
Like multiple 10s sometimes in a row
Like cmon sir
And with tier 1 I’ll be getting hit 13
But if I keep up dps during tornados phase I should be fine
even with dps loss in nados you can get consistent t1 preps ime
you sometimes get hit like a truck sometimes don't get hit it's just rng
With t2 on good runs with 20 fish I’ll have like 6-8 left over
record runs & see what you're able to do to make them better etc
Biggest improvement has been hunleff in corner
Made the fight 10000x smoother
Just feel like the staff is a noodle and the bow smacks him
Just for the record, unless your stats are very skewed, the bow is lowest dpa technically
Practically it can beat halberd due to range
So realistically it's pretty equal to it
But staff is always #1
80 attack 91 str 92 range 83 mage
No real way around that
only without rigour
otherwise they're all on par
My bow seems to hit way more often
mage scales the least, melee has piety more easily, range needs rigour to go off
Correct but nobody struggling with cg has rigour
staff is less accurate more dps p sure?
can dps calc to see
either way, you can get consistent t1 preps with your stats with any 2 weps
Yeppers
can see what is going wrong by recording, you'll notice a lot more mistakes than you will while doing the runs
Shouldn’t be a problem t1 and getting bow and staff
Ive been doing t2 with killing all 3 Demi and 20 fish basically every run
T1 will just speed up the process
More kph
Also my rng
I’ve gotten 5 crystal weapons seeds
3 armors
They’re the same roll right
Just happens to give us the shit one no one needs
Tbf I need neither
the wep seeds do not influence armour seeds / anything else, it's literally just free added shards
5 whole shards, or like 7 if farming :D
10 shards or 15 when farming
Not worth the cost
what cost?
Mental

Feels bad
Idk why you'd jump through hoops with rng drops on separate tables to make yourself feel bad
it's a differently rolling 1/50 that just adds stuff
Not a conscious choice lol
Understood, thank you bruh. CG is definitely tougher than anything else I've done. t1/t2 prep are both fine so I'm focusing t1 to get more hunllef time, but I'm just dogshit at hunllef.
It takes practice. You'll get there
When he hits me with the prayer disable during p3 tornadoes and also he swaps prayers my brain short circuits haha. I'm sure I'll get it eventually.
Yea I get you, better to just run eat and survive
Typically best to move to his front tile when he stomps then back
But whichever way the hotspots take you
Something to note here. After the purple projectile just immediately put it back to mage, the odds of it being on the last attack are low, and if you are watching hunleff to see if he raises his legs for the swap animation then you always can just react to praying range. He will never change attack styles without the animation.
I have an internal attack counter at this point, but I still play almost entirely from sound/animations. Attack style swap has a distinct sound that can be used to trigger yourself to swap prayers.
So yeah just tried t1 and got absolutely ripped from him
He died then I died
Doesn’t count as kill
Wtf
Reviving this again, plan to chin up range for cg currently 84 does anyone have an accuracy chart for levels 90+ as opposed to just extra max hits? Cheers
I don't think there is one, but the dps calc knows the numbers. Just add the armour
