Currently 77 prayer but have 88 banked. I want to make sure I have the most efficient set up before I go through all these bones so I have a few questions. What’s the best tele method for chaos altar? Do I bring a few items for tank gear? Do I bring noted bones? Any other tips for efficiency?

if you do 1 inv at a time, the locator symbol from ds2 is a quick way to suicide when you've gone through your bones

I liked 1 inv at a time just to recline and not risk much

#

but it's obviously a lot slower

#

can always do something in the middle like bringing only 2-3 invs worth of noted bones with you

#

I did that sometimes when there were no pkers for a while

#

also if you didnt know you can manual click each bone on the altar to use them much faster than the automatic usage

#

I didn't really bother with that either personally unless I was getting attacked

#

then you can try to use up as many as possible before you die

Yeah I planned on moving my inventory over and manual clicking the bones for most of it but I’ll probably let it use some bones automatically when I get tired of that. Might be easier to afk the bones and hover over logout in case of pkers? Idk if that’s worth it though.

"worth" is always going to be subjective

#

almost everything in this game comes down to putting in more effort to save time, or spending more time to put in less effort

#

I'd do whichever you enjoy more

#

prayer is a fast skill anyway

Well said, thanks for the response 👍🏻

highly recommend 3-4 iteming and getting several hundred/thousand locator orbs if suiciding

#

sotd special is big if you suicide too - if you're wearing dhide top/legs and praying mage/range you'll pretty much never lose a bone

Good shout, sotd reduces certain damage iirc?

if you have trouble getting ragged while trying to use your remaining bones i found it makes a massive difference. a lot of people just hop when they see their specs whiffing

I didnt bother with food and tank gear, 50 noted bad (drag/wyvern) bones and full unnoted inv of superior or dragon bones then suicide, done it for nearly 30m pray and maybe lost about 300k xp worth if bones my whole time doing it

post key update i definitely leaned into the 'wear rag range' camp

#

so many terrible undergeared gold farmers hunting bone users

I just wore tank gear and took 1+1
Rly nice, barely died

#

Think I lost like 2 invs of bones from 70-99

worth changing death respawn to edgeville to be closer to bank?

grave storm
#

I did, not just for chaos altar

#

that was before ferox respawn existed so may want to compare how close that is to bank

round shoal
#

ooh good shout, I'll do that. Wiki says it's a few tiles closer

I wonder if it's unironically faster to die and then use Sep tele crystal to run to bank
Like die with tele crystal as one of your three items lolz

If you suicide on pvp world you can respawn right next to chest

solar summit
#

Ye downside is that ppl PK on that world
2200 worlds are giga empty IME, did almost all of 85-99 on them and it was super free
Maybe Wildy is diff now and nobody PKs on any world lmao
(in which case ur right, PVP world op)

I guess craft cape is better than losing 1 inv slot to sep tele pepeHands

#

Unless you kept it in inv instead of wearing to avoid losing ticks

#

But also the more bones you bring the less important the difference between your banking method vs the optimal one is

did 43-70 on PvP worlds, wasn't a long grind obv but i didn't find any pkers on them ironically for the 3-4hours i was running it

#

respawning right next to the bank is pretty neat
