#What should i do in this CG case???

how many is 'all the rooms' cuz yeah with t2 youll sometimes go dry on something and have to open like 2/3rds of the map
cannot say ive ever had it be shards though thats the issue
just sounds like a good argument to start on t1 prep
there are a lot of reasons t2 is bad but generally people can get even 95% completion rates or better on t3
so i'd expect if you truly got rekt like that it was a strategy issue or micro issue
you should be opening rooms diagonally btw, and it doesnt rly look like thats what you did in your screenshot?
On these runs you can also kill a 3rd demi boss in order to crush the weapon piece for shards. Gives you a little more flexibility on getting your shards. You probably just did the kc a little relaxed and got a bit of bad rng though, happens to the best of us
evolving
I've been running t2 for the past like 50kc now and what he said about grinding down the 3rd demi-boss weapon part helps a lot. At minimum, you'll get 30 shards from the demi-boss plus 80 for the grinding, making the 3rd demi-boss kill worth 110 shards guaranteed, which is the upper limit of what a medium monster can offer
Other than that, occasionally I've found that you just have to reset a run. Maybe there's optimizations you can make (I've heard HCIMs somehow manage T3 consistently, no clue how that works), but I just resign myself to the fact that if I don't have all the shards I need by 1:30 (420 with teleport crystal + 3rd demi, 460 with no teleport + 3rd demi, 500 with teleport, 540 with no teleport), then the run is lost because you probably won't have enough time to teleport back, make everything and then go fish at least 12 fish (I prefer 16, but 12 is doable if Hunllef RNG doesn't screw you) and cook them
It does become consistent to the point where you never reset really, I think I reset once in 100 kc and its because I went afk for a cpl minutes in the middle, getting all the stuff for t2 is actually really consistent, it's usually pathing issues that give players issues. T1 runs are better simply bc u can prep in like 3 minutes pretty comfortably, but I prefer T2 just because I can make mistakes during the fight and be less subject to rng damage.
Yeah
The consistency of T2 is why I do it
I'd rather lengthen the grind and guarantee it rather than get frustrated with T1 deaths
Even if it's less efficient
Dont get me wrong, T1 is also consistent, it just requires more focus to not die. I agree with your reasoning and thats why I do it, if I die during a CG session I don't want to continue lol
I also use wifi internet and if I lag for even a second in T1, I'm dead
T2 prevents that, mostly
Yeah, its nice being able to get hit by 4 nados and live with like 10 hp :p
Whatever makes grinds more autopilot for me, is usually the way I tend to go.
As long as you understand it isn't "efficient" I think that's a decent way to play
Could also kill the small ones for some shards
if you want feedback on your approach you could record a run. It should basically never happen that you are low on prep time going for t2, it's definitely a pathing or skill issue.
