What's the theming here?
It just looks like a whole bunch of mods thrown together haphazardly due to poor presentation.
The theme is to progress through the game, getting loads of loot, fighting hundreds of bosses, and becoming as powerful as you can become. All The Mods 8 is the most popular on Curseforge right now and it doesn’t really have a theme.. why does mine have to?
Because it has nice presentation.
I suggest rethinking the CF page a bit. I see a wall of text with no color, and a cover image that looks like a mess.
So you are saying it’s popular because of presentation? I thought it was because of the years that the company has been uploading modpacks and it has a good run. I’ve only started modding for a year
I’m working on it lol. I’m a single creator. My author is just a friend who helps with crash reports when I was developing the pack
Popular modpacks tend to have good presentation, because good presentation catches people's attention. Kitchen sinks aren't bad, but they need to lean on presentation more to highlight individual pieces of the pack. Otherwise it all blends together into what I call "grey soup".
Grey soup lmao. I’m gonna take all the feedback I can. Again I’m newish to the modpack making scene. I’m also fully self taught. Yeah the presentation may be sloppy, but I’m trying my best. If you want to give the pack a go and give more feedback there I would muchly appreciate it.
For instance, do some of this. Individual screenshots of sights from the pack with block text in a corner of the image. Things you've encountered from playtesting. It's always better to give the players a sneak peek of what's in the pack before they play. Give enough to make them curious.
That’s actually really helpful! I will definitely do that. Thank you for the feedback. I’m currently working on the quest system so that’ll be tomorrow’s project
No problem. ^^ Good luck on quests too
