Hello all.
Tales of the Abyss is my favorite Tales game.
I'm currently working on a fan translation project for it.
Which language?
Basically any Latin-alphabet language.
We currently have a Brazilian Portuguese translation in progress, so we especially need more Portuguese speakers who can help with it.
But if you know another Latin-alphabet language, please consider helping out! I think it would be amazing for this game to be available in many languages some day.

Yes that would be great! I made our own server but we've been pretty inactive this year. I still want to continue to work on this though.

Is this a translation based on the original Japanese script or the English localization?

We use the English localization plus the Spanish fan translation to give additional context
It would probably be better to go directly from the original Japanese, but it would be hard to find volunteers who know Japanese and a language we want to translate to

Well we also had some members who had offered to do German and French translations, but I think they're inactive
I mean we've all been inactive to be honest haha
But I'd like to try to find more translators and have German, French, and Portuguese all being worked on
The other Tales games from around that time (Symphonia, Vesperia, etc) all have French and German, Abyss is the only one that's just JP and English
