The key thing that I found strange was how observation haki works.

Nami says that because he can’t read Luffy’s mind, he can’t anticipate his movement. Before Luffy spaced out, he WAS able to use mantra to read them. I said that’s odd because it’s so specific because we see observation haki be used in situations that don’t involve opponents or reading minds.

The second page from skypiea I sent, I was saying with how we’ve seen observation haki be used, he SHOULD be able to dodge. Because again, we see observation haki be used in situations where there is no mind to be read.

In the arc, with the explanation we got about mantra, it makes sense why enel couldn’t dodge those attacks. Enel didn’t choose to not dodge, and he didn’t get cocky and not actively use mantra anymore. The justification was that because when he read Luffy’s mind, Luffy wasn’t aiming at him he was aiming at the gold. The attacks that bounced off are not something he can read the minds of and see

There’s a lot of loose ends to tie up with Blackbeard still. I’m mainly interested in seeing what sparked his ambition for the Yami Yami. What sort of things were instilled into him, post-God Valley, that led him down the path he chose to walk. I mean, aside from the obvious stuff
