That is an extremely rare case though, one of my absolute favorite recent episodes is actually not one that added extra content, its one that rearranges the original and very effectively presents it to strengthen the viewer's emotional investment right before Kaido is defeated. Ending with one idea totally occupying your mind: Kaido NEEDS to go. Episode 1075 btw, by Koyama.

1076 that follows is strong too, and it elevates Kaido's flashback just through the spectacular visual presentation that the manga severely lacked. Again, you didn't need to make additions or changes to the original to take it from pretty decent to extremely memorable.

It's also cool because it's the most direct path. They don't sit down and formulate a plan to take out arlong park. They just walk in the front door and Luffy punches arlong.
