Elbaf is still not climaxing yet, there's a full set of Emperors and their crew peaking as we speak, multiple islands remain unvisited, World War against the WG is coming eventually, there's going to be dozens and dozens of flashbacks and fights in between. I truly believe Oda, in his current level of mastery, knows he can pull off looser inking 'cause of how well he knows anatomy, folds, and FX (clouds, fire, etc.)

i don't think it's a result of him getting "worse" objectively. I think it's an active choice

but his eyesight was probably a side effect of this and he just went with it

though I heard rumors he started inking more like this starting during covid, but i have no direct evidence

And yes, he got hospitalized in 2013 and got a Tonsillectomy due to a tonsil complication caused by his workaholism. That's what started the 5 chapters on and break schedule, which is down to 3 now.
