Pirates are still very much an ultimate evil though is the thing. I can not see him teaming up with them or anything like that especially if he has a past with them. His world view will be shattered yes because his views on who should be purged are based off the wg. I don’t believe he’s a sengoku type that didn’t want to question the wg at all. Akainu has before which tells me his morality and decision making isn’t completely aligned with the wg. Even with imu down; you have pirates running free reign. I’m sure he’d still pull shit like the baby massacre as well
