I feel like Kid's status as dead would be hard confirmed too if he actually just died
Pell wasn’t built up as one of the future leaders of the new generation of pirates or whatever
Yeah I don't like Imu being a fuckboy twink
Luffy, Law, and Kid are that
I think it's pretty generous to describe kid that way
exactly. Like the only thing we can bank on is that luffy and his crew's story will be wrapped up and hte main beats are taken care of. Anything else is extra.
but honestly i dont see kid having a purpose on helping luffy fighting world government tho? wont it be more of him seeking revenge towards shanks rather than assisting luffy fighting wg?
Don’t argue with me, it’s what onigashima was doing
That was a whole thing
They're like 3 starter Pokemon, how you gonna just up and cancel one of the 3 starters smh
owogashima
:3
hardly. The supernova were all made up last minute and Oda has no real plans and even said he thought he'd kill them off quickly in the new world. He never actually expected them to be big.
My interpretation is onigashima was these guys could be the future. And then directly after we get the confirmation that luffy is special. Kid and law came far but they're not that guy, luffy is
Talking about kid on the day imu reveal chapter is out 👀
That was his original intentions, then what actually happened afterwards? We had the captain trio make an appearance once again in Wano multiple times, clearly portraying that those 3 are THE 3
back before onigashima, there's sabaody where oda introduced the worst gen, and each pirates took part in several arcs
i think kid's story and purpose is done here
Hey man, the Kid haters bring him up first way more than we do. I just partaking in the convo that was already here
I only have allegiance to one character
Every one piece arc has major side kick players that Straw hats team up with only never to play a role afterwards.
"kid haters" dude, i was just curious on why you thought kid will still be relevant to the story, i thought this is a nice discussion
smh
Urouge still needs an arc
I wonder if he'll get one around Lodestar island at this point
well, urouge is still the only one left without having a role in the new world
Who are these kid haters?
Urouge is waiting in the heaven realm and that's where we're gonna escape to from imu
I get the feeling you binge read the story until wano. Which is why you are over valuing stuff like this. A lot of the bad head cannon during wano that people got over invested into is due to people binge reading stuff and not realize how long it took to build up to events of that point. Kid wasn't in the story at all for 10 years after he was introduced until Wano. People experience him that don't see him nearly as a major character.
They have to fight Imu off outright, there's no way Imu would let them go or be stopped by "height" any other way imo
Urouge arc. At the end of one piece, he will sit on a cloud and with a big grin be reading a book titled "The Romance Dawn".
Most of the end-game characters in this story didn't even appear until much later than Kid. Loki? Imu? Shamrock? Kid was introduced in 498, ended up making an appearance in landmark chapters 500 and 1000, while also being showcased at least once in every >99 chapter interval since introduction, constantly being reminded of his existence every now and then
I really don't think imu will be resolved here. It's too soon. I imagine an ending similar to egghead where it's a frantic escape.
Why will imu be unable to pursue? Who can say it's way too early to know what haki Knot type thing oda might have up his sleeve
we are discussing if Imu is secretely a naruto villain, if kid is done since he hasn't made an appearance on elbaph.
For a character that's never been part of the story like you say until Wano, that's pretty significant
have a feeling that's not true
as for Kidd, i think he'll reappear
he's not out of the story yet
Yeah definitely not dying but I think another repeat of egghead isn't gonna just happen
though, no one has really answered me why you guys think kid's still a significant into the story, and on what purpose
I think it would be weird if it was resolved here with the build up since teh world governemnt is being shown as gbeing the main villain. Like whats teh point of the villain of the 800 year long conflict being defeated here without all the other characters.
They gotta figure out some way to weaken Imu so he retreats or something
The way I see it it's the only option.
Forcing imu to retreat would undermine his menace. Essentially a straw hat victory over imu in their first proper appearance. It would be like luffys punch forcing kaido to retreat in wano act 1.
And obviously imu isn't gonna kill everyone here it's just not that kind of story
There's an idea I have in mind, but it always seems disallowed and discouraged to ever think outside the box in context to Kid
I'm currently making a theory like I said earlier, I can just ping you in bulk once it's all done later today
I don't see them simply escaping at sea without Imu following them to the ends of the earth, and again I still think we need more time at elbaf when we haven't seen one of the third layers, I'm very interested in where it will go
you did mention about the magnetism thing that could be related to kid's power in defeating the HKs, but that's your head canon
like i said before, why would kid help luffy on defeating WG tho? wont it be more of him seeking revenge towards shanks
the pace of the story makes me htink a lot of things that people want with side characters won't happen and I only trust Oda to finish the main beats and resolves things important to the strawhats . I don't thik we can count on things with other characters really being addressed especially when so much is now left to things like Vivre cards and SBS. Thats even stuff with the strawhats like Queen and Franky being related or Zoro's relationship with Wano etc. So I am skeptical of any character that played a major role in a previous arc being highyl relevant going forward.
thats my only question
Imu has lost the big fight already he isn't getting giants anymore
Some yeah
I think one possibility that people are discounting is that Imu destroys elbaph.
This argument doesn't sit well with me, because yes, the story's pace has been faster but Oda hasn't toned side character stuff down at all. Oda is not gonna rush the final saga after spending this long to reach it.
Yes we may speed up a little to get to said events faster but they'll be done justice when they happen
You just have luffy and some giants escape.
I think escaping is the easiest way to enforce some limitation that doesn't undermine the threat of imu. If we could force imu to retreat with force and remain on elbaf that would essentially make him less threatening than the elders, which seems backwards to me. The result needs to be at least as bad as egghead, and it probably needs to go worse for the straw hats
Escape is the best case scenario
Steel is magnetic, not headcanon at all, but fact. The Shanks thing is exactly what I'm gonna address in the post-- I just don't want to give all my ideas out in a bare bones way in public here since I'm tired of getting jumped for having them 🤦♂️
no lol why are you victimizing youself, you even called me kid hater, which i was just trying to have a nice conversation
but okay lol, i wont "jump" on you anymore
Imu's motives have changed
which part of my text is giving off a hater tone
if i was a hater id have rather said "kid is ass, he's just shanks copycat with ass ability, no use"
shanks copycat makes no sense
Just saw Tekking's review of the chapter and he brought up something interesting in that Imu spitting up blood might have come from the fact that he has to transform back to his original form. I didn't think of something that simple but it makes a lot of sense.
I also like all the new color variations for Imu. I do wonder which one will be the closest to reality
yeah i thought that too
yeah idk, which is why am i considered kid hater ?
he was getting rid of his other body
You hate kid probably?
Would It be wrong to say that it's just a vibe? It's something I feel like that's gonna happen.
Haki from temu part
This line of reasoning to me is wishful thinking. He isn't even addressing main things with the strawhats in arcs. We are getting those things in SBS. Kids back story was told in an SBS. Gecko Moria's relationship with Wano was told in a most recent SBS. The line of thinking that I thinking that I don't agree with is this idea that some how the story is incomplete without addressing every characters loose ends. The story in the end is Luffy and his crews story, the other characters are just of lesser importance and not really needed for completeness of story. Its only fans of those characters want those satories complete.
I'd change my tone and love Imu's design if he's actually a shapeshifter/body hopper and changes radically
I hearkened it to a chrysalis and a butterfly breaking out of its cocoon
It can be anything, but I'd bet on him leaving his location just based on the Gorosei's reaction
They were moreso worried about him leaving Marijoie than anything else
As if there was something about it
well yea, that's your feeling and i get it. And it's also my feel that he wont be necessary to the story anymore, only cover page stories at best. which is why i was trying to discuss it out
I think he probably can shapeshift, though I think this is his true form. That's why Oda saved his title card until now
Those things are not comparable to current day actions within the story. Backstories being in sbs aren't a bad thing cause I don't believe it's strictly necessary we have everything in the main story.
A character's role in the upcoming parts of the story cannot be comparable to that. We got one of the longest flashbacks in the "fast paced" era btw.
I agree with you on that part with backstories, and it's not something I consider a loose end specifically.
It was a total L not at all referencing in the story that Tama was a Kurozumi though imo
He also brought up something else that if all the elders are worried, that means they have seen this happen before and know the consequences. None of them are acting as if this occurring is unknown to them. So Imu might have left the holy land before.
He also points out that the oldest gorosei seems to be more okay with it compared to the newer ones, except garling who is probably trying to just not piss his boss off after just getting his new job.
that'd be another 10 chapters of wano people having doubts on tama, but in the end she proved them wrong that not all kurozumis are bad
oda simply skipped all that part
Who's the oldest Gorosei?
Which yeah is far more interesting than "this family == bad blood"
This is an assumption but if the number assigned to them indicates the order they became elders, the oldest would be Ju Peter
i still take it that the line hiyori said is only specifically towards those kurozumi who's dictator line, not particularly all kurozumi
IDK, maybe.
The theory is contingent on multiple assumptions though
So we'll have to see
Yeah, but again that'd be nice for the story to have included that instead of just SBS
Both Law and Kidd gained notoriety alongside Luffy. They were part of the biggest arc in the story and both faced crushing defeats afterwards. To me it just feels like setup for another return. I also think that if Luffy was to find out what happened to law, he'd want to help him. As for Kidd, I believe he has atleast one confrontation left with Shanks again.
I think the speeding up of things comes in like the panels. If you look at early one piece and even post time skip, you see like a lot of the in between stuff, motion etc. Now he’s just skipping that and giving us key frames as it were. Take the black beard in Amazon lily interaction. You have Hancock winding up an attack then the next page she’s being chocked by Teach. It felt really weird didn’t it?
what's that command
Observer
!observer

law yes, i agree, since he's been part of the story even from punk hazard, and has purpose left in the story of learning the true meaning of his name D.
but kid's just like another worst gen character that's introduced in the story.. similarly to bege, so do you think bege will still appear in the story later on?
bege was introduced in sabaody like kid, and both reappeared after new world
Yes, actually. I believe most characters will be part of the final saga

the ones who are alive and not in volcanoes
Guys nooooo Imu doesn’t have eyebrows 😭
but again, what purpose? not something like "luffy helped me back then, so i will help him now on defeating WG" heck, kid's not even indebted to luffy
Bege's story is actually wrapped up in its entirety, I think Kid has a lot of story to tell with "recovering after experiencing wrath from his own actions" that would feel missing to me if not included
it would be better for the grand fleet to get their moments during final war
not some random "has-been" characters which are done, suddenly appearing to help without purpose
I don't actually judge or analyze the story with "weightages" like this. To me it's simply because it's grandiose, and cool. And I think oda wants the final saga to be grand.
it will surely be grand, but an appearance without purpose kills the story, at least for me
he'll obviously find a purpose
I don't see kid as being part of a final war portals scene yeah
it's not like kidd will just show up and wave towards the camera and leave
Bruh with the steel heart and frankys comment about cyborg I was totally expecting imu to just be a robot WAIT wtf he had circuitry on his hand
I'd want to see him move on and accept he lost this race
Maybe he is a robot
That's not like Kidd
and one piece isn't really a story about acceptance of one's limits
it'd be incredibly out of character if kidd just gave up
Or he just died
Well he got his entire ship annihilated and lost his half of the road poneglyphs
Why is Imu spitting blood? His time is running out or he's like that when he descends that's why the Elders are worried when he went out?
Unlucky
yeah, back again that's how we feel at the moment, once oda decided to link kid back to the story by giving him purpose then i can agree on him being back to the story, but still from current standpoint i cant see him having any spotlight in the future
Which would make it so interesting having the stakes being so high that even Kid would accept he can't do it
but I don't think Kidd would give up cause of that
only way he doesn't return is if he's actually just dead
not breathing
I think we're beyond the point of such things though. The stakes have been unreasonably high for quite some time in the story.
Luffy's obviously never gonna stop
There's nothing going on that concerns him anyway
and Kidd returned even after being imprisoned by Kaido
Koby will stop Luffy
this is just the 2nd time a yonko has demolished kidd
Them dreams never end
also Imu is giant sized is he not
The problem is that we are not getting any updates or hints that he will return in elbaf, unless you want him to return after elbaf somewhere else
i mean those windows were comparing him to could be really small to a giant, so bare minimum king's height
yeah im not holding out hope for anything kidd related during elbaf
got too much else going on atm
I'm really just wondering what happens here now
how do we maintain Imu's threat without killing everyone
cause obviously he's not gonna be defeated here
Why do you want no one to die?
well by "everyone" i mean the strawhats mostly
I actually want one prominant character in elbaf to die
I don't think that's gonna happen
Someone from new giant warrior pirates maybe?
because now the list is down to the kids, strawhats, loki and hajrudin
hajrudin maybe, but i don't really see it tbh
i dont think it really matters if someone of the new giant warrior pirates dies, It's probably not the death you're looking for
There is one in new giant warrior pirates other than gerd, hajrudin and road
What was his name?
I forgot aswell
Hmm
Dorry and broggy?
I think Imuw ill just kill a bunch of giants, Dorry and brogy maybe yeah
i dont think we should discount the possibility imu wins and everyone has to escaoe while imu secures the giants as his soldiers. Loki, saul, ripley, gaban, and NGWP get out on their ship and the strawhats have to run
Longshot, but still
new giant warrior pirates remain, loki remains, the strawhats remain
but they may get scuffed up
Ripley 😉
Don't kill ripley man
Maybe gunko will die
yeah he might just kill all the knights on a whim
There probably going to be some despair. But I doubt It'll be another escape which was done just recently on egghead
Imu possibly retreats because of his condition or someone saves the day like marineford
Is it me or it feels like oda is nerfing imu?
I think it's too early to jump to a conclusion like that
Oda is not gonna nerf one of the 2 ultimate villains in the story
I'm saying he already did in 2 instances
One is when harald was killed
Imu was nerfed
Nerfed in the sense that he was weakened
Now when he arrived in elbaf he was weakened
It seems implied he'll be at full power in the holy land
maybe he's bleeding cause the outer world is literally hostile to him
What is there in holy land?
Just don't kill Gerd!
Is it the national treasure which doffy is talking about?
You can't kill her shes too innocent and is the best NamI clone
shamrock at least is totally dead, killingham too maybe
I wonder if mother flame can help imu
Usopp death…
Oh yeah Ripley's a mom shes dying 😭
I don't know. The gorosei were talking about how he can't leave and when he did he started coughing blood
What if mother flame is not just for uranus but for imu too?
So I think Imu will be fought in the holy land
im getting break week shakes
He was in pain and agony when he is transforming too
Maybe he's literally energy to stay alive and that's why he cared so much about an infinite energy source.
that's all a possibility, but i think he might've been bleeding cause he broke out of his fake body
or whatever dark figure he turned himself into
like ripping himself out of it
Thats what i thought too, but he spat out blood before he even started transforming
Seem to be leaving the holy land could it be being closer to water?
🤨
I dunno would someone weak to water be down to flood the world?
I mean they aren't planning on being near the flood
Thats why they build red line?
They're on the red line so they can flood the world and remain unaffected
I guess if it's a far reaching enough effect to affect imu on top of elbaf castle it seems like any amount of flooding the world is risky and unwise long term
Sea water being weakness makes sense because his ability is devil's fruit but that would be a very big weakness which luffy can explore
I think it's possible that whatever's in Mariejois is keeping him alive for 800 years+
and being out of the holy land is actively hostile to him
Maybe a steel heart
it's either that or he's a receiver of an eternal youth surgery
Maybe you put your real heart in stasis somehow and replace it
Maybe it is something to do with the chambers? Where giant strawhat is stored?
They seem to be storing something in a freezer there
The red line is 10000 meters above sea level
Didn't it only raise 200 in the last 800
Isn't the middle realm of elbaf also pretty high up?
imu bleeding already is also implying that maybe the people just need to outlast him
instead of fight or defeat him outright
Its mostly likely that he got it because ivankov mentioned it
he'll try and kill them within the time he has left but he'll have to teleport back
and that's how we prevent imu being defeated + his threat being maintained cause while he's here
he'll cause a serious amount of chaos and damage
I wnet to do errands. Again my point is that oda doesn't have to ahve any plans for the characters in question to finish the story. Almost every one piece arc we have major side characters that play integral roles to defeating the over arching enemies of the ark only for Oda to cast them aside at the end of arc. I think its fully feasible that Oda did the same with Kid and to the lesser extent law. But we'll see is correct, but so far I've found my track record on this stuff is pretty good, so your not going to convince me.
So basically aura form and leave 😭
yeah
Man I just don't know if that's smart
I think it's a way for luffy and the others to see what they're up against as-well
It took away like half the tension from the gorsei now
Garling seems to be the only one who has brain among the gorosei
tahts because he's the only one who isn't senile
Like I literally almost laughed when warcury offered to go like bro wtf y'all going to do and I'm afraid that going to happen with Imu even if he beats ass
Kidd and Law are unique cases though. I don't think they're comparable to characters like wyper, paulie, iceberg, pedro, carrot etc (which i assume is what you mean)
atleast imo
I dead ass think the rest of the gorsei will die if Imu leavs but garland cus he " younging " compared maybe will get a whole new gorsei crew
Before
I think it just further hints at the outer world somehow being hostile towards imu + his presence in the holy land makes him the strongest and allows him to personally defend it
I would have been inclined to agree with this if Oda didn't take both out in a matter of a chapter and destroyed their ships. For me that was a statement being made about their future relevance to the story. Destroying of the ship is relatively symbolic.
I don't like pringles
it's devil fruit or devil's fruit?
No one knows actually
Devil's fruit
We only know this for sure
Dude is trying to go get his ass whooped again
Warcury sit your ass back down 😭
Devil's fruit is meek and feeso interpretation, which i like tbh
Lmao my thoughts exactly like you really want this fire? Like sure you guys almost had Luffy but not Lokis involved 🤣 he's like twice as big as Emmett
This view from the top is funny 😂😂
Eggman energy right?
I feel like at this point, admirals might be stronger than the elders or it's very close
War curry
Top man is as much a title as wss. Imu > warcury >>>>>>>>> everyone else
Admirals are stronger than gorosei
Warcury is a chud
Ethan is the real alpha
I feel like akainu is definitely stronger than gorosei
Can't wait to see how they'll cook with imu ...
The admirals are stronger yeah I’d say, the goresei’s powers are just more peculiar
Sakazuki, Kuzan and Borsalino
But idk about fujitora and green bull 🤔
For some reason, we haven't seen admirals go all out on screen till now
I agree with this
Yeah green bull kidna disappointing
Ethan and garling are stronger
But hey maybe he will be redeemed
Fujitora was often underestimated but it could go either way i guess
I think they fought
I hope to see a logia awakening from one of them, if it isn’t Teach
During reverie was it?
i think it'd probably end up being like
Akainu > Kizaru = Aokiji = Fujitora > Gb
They like clashed a lil
which is fairly obvious i think
Akainu~>kuzan > kizaru > fujitora~ gb
Other than sakuzuki going soft lmao for being behind a desk ( joking)
Now than how strong is Kong!???
If the entire island is effected for months when they fought, surely they aren't going allout because of the collateral damage it can cause to the surroundings
And sengoku!??!
Fire
It would be better if we talk less about him
Goatgoku
He kidna is tho
Pirate king level
https://x.com/kabachkitop/status/2039714727756996899?s=46 check this out
I have seen this in twitter yeah
He’s a cyborg devil angel man
dead
Yeah this was made apparent when Fujitora and GB were fighting in the holy land, Akainu said they’re making excuses but I think he’s just chatting lol
Personally I think imu is occupying lily’s body (that’s why he’s coughing) and he needs a new body (vivi)
Illmatic, which skin color you will pick? From 1-12
oda confirmed he's still alive at 70 something
He’s clearly red
DEAD !
Redemption
I gotta say I’m glad Oda went with the double ringed eyes for Imu, it’s a minor detail but added so much to the design that we just got for him
think he's lunarian
10 or 6
I need Jamaican pirate!
I wonder when we will see akainu fight again 😭
When sabo will get his ass
Or is that fan coloring
Imu having the exact opposite aesthetic to Luffy in design is genius ngl
Don't see flames and wings are different 🤨
the flame is in the holy land
here is extra one...
and the wings are different because cool ...
he's purring. obviously he's a cat
How many eyes appear on his god cloud
Final war probably, he’s the fleet admiral now so he is not going to come out and personally fight if it isn’t a last resort
There was one similar to this where tattoos are glowing
Earl shared it but I can't find it because he shared in spoiler2
@sleek plume find this in spoiler 2 for me. I replied with something like glow or glowing. Search in my messages with that
Oh yeah his wallpaper
oh!! I found it on twt... took it as my pfp for a day... need to remove cuz I've spoiling everywhere with that pfp
So he will only fight again against sabo
Damnit cat.... I wasn't done drinking that
Yeah, that would be a big spoiler
It’s AI sadly but this is what he sent
Lol he kept it as wallpaper? 😭
I got scolded... for that in different server too😭
whose rule is no spoilers
Yep lmao
Bruh I can already see meek glazing imu 😭
I have seen AI coloring where it changed a big and added some details in that imu standing on top panel
... he is
he popped in yesterday
Speaking of i might use this as wallpaper
He already made a series
"We have come a long way"
this one is so coool
Never change meek
I got a meme... (He Laughed)
Imu’s really about to clean house, they won’t be push to a full transformation here
This will be enough
Morj hasnt dropped his opinion yet, meek doesnt have one either
This is the one I'm talking about, look at right side. More details are added that was not in manga
There are more like this
😭
Bros right hand is gone
I know right
Yeah
Its a mix of the AI upscale and their own thing
Definitely
I saw one similar to this with the famous painting pose
Yeah
It might be the same person
Fallen Angel
Yeah I saw that
Yeah
This one’s my fav I think
They have him resting his hand on his face but like... he was grabbing his face like he had a headache
Oda's favourite
wonder what colors he will be
Imu is a goblin
Is this what Rocks wa waiting for
Im thinking the light red skin, white hair
Like he found out you cant kill Imu from holy land
Very close to what zurq posted
And when he faces him in g valley it wasnt his real body
second row left
I don't want it to be bright red
Yeah I like the change, we only get to see his face in the very last panel
he said he'd come back right here though (as in the flower garden)
he’s either dark skinned like King or will be dark red like your average devil probably
Next chapter will have him farming we just have to wait... 2 weekz
Doesn't matter, toei will make him white
What I'm saying is that, i would prefer 6 or 10 kinda red over 5 kinda red
Looking forward to that close up shot of his full design
a
Hmm true but heya I would say is he could remeet Imu in holy land but only with the the darkness fruit but without it he could kill Imu on the ground level or he thought if it was his real body other wise other than desperation why would he attack Imu during god valley and expect to even win at that point.
I agree that ll the other characters didn't have well-thought over ethinicities and they don't really apply, but there is reasons between reasons on why Oda picked Luffy as being Brazilian. When One Piece is over Oda will probably be more 'out there' and when he is, I hope someone interviews him. But it becomes clearer every passing day for the average Brazilian the connection Luffy has to Brazil. And soon it will also be revealed to the whole world I guess, and they will understand. First of all, Brazil is the country with the largest Japenese descendant population IN THE WORLD, so a theory I have is that Oda visited Brazil a lot and watched Capoeira performances and 100% studied its history. You can never be so sure about things in life but I'm 99% sure this is the case. Although some might say because I'm Brazilian I may have a bias on this, I was actually completely contrary to this idea, until Nika Gear 5 came out. Second, Rubber is originally from Brazil, Brazil invented what's now rubber, it 100% comes from Brazil, no question. Third, Luffy's strawhat is what we use in Brazilian festivals such as Festa Junina. You could say that many countries have straw hats which is true, but the style is definitely Brazilian. The first and third reason it is all from appeareance except for the second reason (rubber and such) and it's all before Nika even made its appearance (by the way, I only watch the anime).
Those were ehh reasons, not too bad but not too great either.
But once Nika came, HA! MY FRIEND MY FRIEND... things shifted. The connection each Brazilian had culturally to seeing Nika on the screens I don't think any of you from any other country will experience in your lives when relating to Luffy. It stops being just bias, it stops being just fanboyzy stuff. It becomes real, tangible and provable with evidence and logic. This is when the prior 'ehh' reasons has its awakening together with Luffy's devil fruit and with many other Brazilians, we all awakened.
actually second row right i changed my mind lol
Capoeira distinctively comes from Brazil, it's a martial art used to kill Portuguese soldiers in the Brazilian African slavery period. It was disguised as a dance with a very familiar rythm to all of us (Drums of Liberation) because if it was known that the dance was a martial art, it would be banned and Portuguese guards would disallow the practice of it. Some people from some other countries say that their drums sound like it, but I've searched and heard them all, none like Brazil. Also, Nika is not inspired by no real life sun God, it's inspired by the concept of liberation of the African Brazilian people. Sun God is just something to make it "look cool".
In Capoeira there is a rule our teachers tell us to follow: always smile. This was an early Capoeira philosophy to make it look like a dance—which this is also Gear 5 in One Piece, where Luffy fights while laughing and expressing pure joy even in combat. Another rule is to add goofy swings to your every move, a rule is that you gotta act and be playful—which this is also Gear 5, since Luffy’s attacks become exaggerated, cartoon-like, and intentionally playful rather than serious martial strikes. Another rule is to “dance within rhythm” of the drums but you CAN have flow, improvisation and unpredictability—which this is also Gear 5, because his “Drums of Liberation” heartbeat acts like a guiding rhythm while his fighting style is completely improvised, chaotic, and free-form. You wear white as your capoeira fit, and they added ropes around the waist for Capoeira belts, white is the highest possible—which this is also Gear 5, since Luffy’s transformation turns him into a bright white, elevated form that visually represents his peak state and symbolic “freedom awakening.”
So don't tell me your country this, your country that. Before Gear 5 I would kinda listen but right now Brazilian feel the most connected with Luffy and there are reasons for it. No other country has that type of connection right now, sorry. Maybe you have with Usopp, Nami, Sanji or Zoro, I don't know. But not with Luffy, not like us.
Next chapter we switch to outside of elbaf. We see shanks and blackbeard clashing
holy tldr calm down there brigadeiro
who are you talking to @solar dragon
Lol
but with redder eyes pls
6 and 7 look good to me
TO EVERY FUCKING ONE
Start with a hello 😉
Imu having red skin would feel....weird to me because it would make his red eyes look less distinct
10 looks pretty cool, though I don’t know why they gave him extra tattoos on 6
gotta spread the truth man, gotta say it 🤷
Awesome man, thank you for your essays but it was a little weird coming out of nowhere
looked like you were fighting imaginary battles
all good though
7 or 10
people gotta wake up to what gear 5 really is
i hope Brazilian Miku & Luffy are friends
spreadin the gospel of gear 5
2nd or 6 looks good to me
They want to make it look cool😭
This not done by same artist, someone combined all variants from different artists and made this I think
isn't 4 and 9 the same picture?
What color do you all think imu's eyes are?
red
red?
Hmm let me put some thought into this
You are right 😭😭
Okay okay I'm dumb 🙁
Then why tf people using different colors in arts?
I see white, gold and shit
seems like some sort of eye related disease
Connection right?
yeah red is the color of the devil
imu will probably be red
like devil robin
I have seen this lol
How come there noses are identical
To me robins look more like the giant beast in the mural than Imu
Maybe the idea of what the devil looks like in One Piece originated from Imu's appearance
therefore every depiction of the devil looks kind of like him
Wait, do you think toei will make the magic circle to rotate like this?
i dont think they did that for the gorosei
so probably not
Gorosei were on the ground right
Imu's circle is cooler so i hope it rotates
Why is there a magic circle on the sky in the first place?
Guys...Glazing Ussop in VC...😭
godsopp
Go D. Ussop
yeah same with the other dark pillars coming out and infecting the houses and stuff
i think its just meant to communicate that this is another level
not the baby shit we're used to
They are saying that... ussop gonna pick ragnir and become thor of one piece...😭
Toei will use too much aura for this
I mean idk cus wait are those horns his devil fruit or like Yamatos
how many chapters in elbaf so far?
54
Cus Yamato pretty much has the same horns when they transform
hmm
do you think the OP anime can actually reach this point within it's 24 episode runtime?
26 or less chapters left in elbaf
i think it's very unlikely
Robin obviously doesn't
26 more??
This year?
feel like that's way too high
No way
5 chapter an episode 🤤
Yes, i believe elbaf will be 70-80 chapter arc. 85 at max
absolutely disgusting
Late 2027 you will prob see the imu stuff
fingerlickin' goodness
I don't even think they might reach it next year
Nobody is denying this
We are at 54. 70-80 means atleast 16
Do yall see of any way of the final war happening in elbaf?
No
I mean the mural is all elbaf tho
i genuinely hope the anime doesn't do more than 1.5 mayyyybe sometimes 2 chapters an episode. because the pacing in the manga is already fast enough to justify the anime extending scenes
It's centered around it cus personally that looks more like the future than the past to me
Yes
i really don't want the anime to abruptly turn into a tiktok reel of hype moments 80% of the way into the story :|
Na man it should be at the very least 2 chapters and epsidoe one chapter isnt really enough content for 20 min
nami sensing imu's arrival based on the weather before anyone noticing the haki and the portals

Rewatching onepeice is like so rocky
neronami
When it could be Amazon g
Either haki or just her good observation of weather changing
i guess im just more used to the slower pacing ;-;
like the pacing of the og anime is a problem but having it rushed would be even worse than dragging it out imo
The og anime pacing is good it's like 3-5 chapters per episode up to enis Lobby
i really hope they don't overcorrect for how slow the anime used to be and start rushing instead
Maybe more like 2-5
I think pacing for this arc will be better. Seasonal will suck in the fact it will take us orb til 2028 to finish elbaf but it’ll be worth
hmm was it really? i'd need to check that, but i also think that final saga chapters are much faster-paced and more information-dense than pre-timeskip chapters
@pulsar timber @urban lodge
which to me justifies having less chapters per episode, especially if the anime adds things that were offscreened in the manga for example
ok that just looks weird LOL
Why is he white….?
why are his horns so weird looking 😭
I don't know, ask the artist 😭
as long as it's well-paced while still giving the story time to breathe w/o rushing i'll be happy :p
Yea 13 episodes then heroines then 13 more in October will be good im sure they know what they’re doing
firee
Over exaggerated with 5 but about 1.5-2.5
it's torture having to wait for the colors lol
lol
i wish a magazine leaked with them now
1.5 per episode would be fine imo. 2.5 might be a little too quick, but it depends on the chapter too
Dudes going to have the weirdest colors ever
like chapter 1179 could easily be covered in half an episode i feel
alternate universe where Imu ate the Nika fruit and Joyboy ate the devil one
I think they should just fill an episode with amount of content necessary and not try to fit or stretch stuff
i agree w the caveat that some things that aren't fleshed out in the manga could be included too
I mean tbh they look very Nika like
like offscreen or rushed fights
This is always a 50 50 if they can pull it off or not like Lucci ba Zoro was good but also a lot of people hate it
https://fixupx.com/musingsofohara/status/2039790727182287285
red feels likely
oo love this
i don't see Imu having red skin because it would diminish how distinctive his red eyes are
not if it's dark red

fr these designs are so cool though
all 3 of them
they actually forgot lmao
Some say he's a lunarian, so brown
Shhhh 🤫
this is supposed to be a hybrid form so idont think its gonna be brown
i don't think he is a lunarian though, he doesn't have any other trait from the lunarians outside of the dark skin
Do you guys think when Imu appeared as King Nerona Imu in front of the other 19 Kings 900 years ago, he looked exactly like the one we just saw in 1179?
The hair?
well, if it really is white then sure
we still don't know the color of it
True, though iirc when imu was transforming they were a pair of wings coming out. But still it could just be his powers
i am leaning on the latter, we saw when Gunko was taken over they had demonic wings
Well tbh we just need chopper to slap the devil out of Imu
I mean like is this just Gunko powers?.
it's when Imu posessed them
so i think it's Imu's powers mainly
It's all " arrow" themed
i don't think it is
It's not the same weapon as Imu
What is arrow themed in that image?
the devil's tail is arrow lookin' but that's just the design of the tail
we saw Imu this chapter have a similair tail
Imu also has a arrow tail
Sure but it's 15 times longer
Imu probably has an infinite pocket of various weapons, given they were able to summon a shotgun etc.
Also robin has wings lol
Before and after her transformation
Out of hands
We seen gunko is very creative with her arrows
yes but this is after Imu took over
.
Yeah idk
can't wait to see this grimoire being used again
Lunarian Imu
The horns look great though
Joyboy and Davy Jones reveal is left
Joyboy is just gonna look like Roger and Luffy, but even more eugenics
And Davy Jones... probably like Rocks
i think Davy Jones is going to look more like Blackbeard
the literal devil
Just, I was still coping it was gonna Nefertari queen of void century
The most racist mf in OP verse turned out to be most mixed races looking guy
It seems he left that vessel in the castle
I mean there's definitely a reason behind it
I doubt he's black tho, he prolly has red skin like devil
bro in the latest chapter it says
WORLD GOVERnMEnT CREATOR
OnE OF THE FIRST 20
ABILITY: DEVIL'S FRUIT*
does that mean imu doesnt have a devil fruit and he was born with a ability instead? and he is the devil instead?
Wait what
No he transformed
but yeah lots of ppl already whitewashed him lol
i think he'll be either red or gray
The transformation looked like he left the previous body
Then where he get new body?
It's too early, don't assume anything
He looks like loki calgara robin fused and went g5
Dude just this week I was thinking how much Imu ressembles Orochimaru
nah im talkin bt the skin tone
King mogs
oh yeah
I'm surprised people first thought was lunarians. He looked closer to shandians to me
king tbh is more handsome but imu has a different aura
Imu looks like he is a mix of races and devil fruits abilities
I'm predicting he is human
Imu has that ominous villain aura
Or was
Nah, Imu is getting hella fangirls now
he's still human i think, it just it's his hybird form
they gonna be freaky
or full zoan even
by the way what are the chance that Imu is hiding a third eye
His face looks like Killingham
not zero
Not impossible
Or it’s the other way around all these different races are descendant from imu
We already established this arc of specific features passed down through the giants
The ancient giants have horns, some look very similar to imu
So I propose all the features from the different races that look like imu are just diluted versions of his blood
mmm
Adding that staff was such a good decision
Usopp upscale
all father Imu
Great art tho
same guy btw
even in this chapter btw
Bro was tweaking out on those flashbacks
I just know the anime staff is kicking themselves because imus old design was so easy to animate and the new one looks like HELL
i think they're excited
Imu is just a vietnam war veteran with ptsd
Maybe the multiple devil fruit eating ability is a feature that comes originally from him
He also has three skulls symbol
and have a fraud squad
if I didn't know the character on the right was imu, I would've thought he'd be a really cool major supporting character in a manga about japanese folklore
but no that's the literal devil of OP 💀

ngl his design is really not like a one piece character lmao
My first thought on his design was Berserk-ish
I think that's probably the point, he's an 800+ y/o man from a completely different time
it's looking like the black blob form of Imu is a sort of supressed state
pretty sure oda really wanted imu to wear the rider jacket + pants but the editor forbade it
This weapon could probably shapeshift
I really wonder what the other 19 kings were like
I think this is his hybird form
These are the types of chapters I read one piece for
The build up from this panel to the reveal was so good I can’t believe it
i think that this is his original form, not any particular transformation just a version of himself which isn't supressed
I bet his human form gonna looks like griffith
Nah it’s gonna be a woman
And a bit Code Geass
also i really love these two pages
curious that they still call Blackbeard, Marshall D.
hmm i thought the same
what y'all think about his horns, maybe hinting at some ancient lineage?
i mean Imu is ancient
This is probably a flashback
He has clouds floating, unless he is a devil and not some user it's a transformation
that his power, devil
nah he used hot glue and paper cones
No it’s the other way around imu features are the ancient ones all the features we see now descended from him

i think that unlike other devil fruit users who need to power themselves up, i think that Imu is supressing himself instead, it would work with the idea of this being the origin to all devil fruits as well if Imu the user of this power would need to suppress their own strength as it's otherwise overwhelming, maybe even leading into why they felt the need to become immortal in the first place
speaking of clouds, i hope that he hops on a black cloud next chapter and uses it like a nimbus
akuma no mi, huh
yeah, probably
elbaf itself has been kinda mid but the arc as a whole has been so goated man
how long can the SHs and co. survive until imu has to return, that's gotta be the climax
https://x.com/PurpleLizardMan/status/2039908300532158762/photo/1
there's something about the design which just screams Sun Wukong to me
Its kinda set up for dragon to save them as much as i hate dragon
clouds, staff, stance
it's like Sun Wukong merged with the devil
10/10 easily
yeah, I also thought he looks like the dark version of nika
should he have been a sexy chick with big naturals?
Imu is the equivalent of joyboy not nika
He is a df user not the original demon
If Imu wasn't cursed, or whatever he was going through right now, they would all die here lol
agreed, he looks a lot like the Nika we've seen in Elbaph specifically with the long flowing hair only thing which doesn't match is the white ribbon scarf
almost one to one, lol
if we'd exclude the devil features Imu has
cringe piece
I think I'd rate the void century flashback a 2/10 at most if a fucking love triangle was the catalyst for joyboy vs imu
2/10 is generous
what if lili was bad as hell
we know she wasn't
she's just... vivi
i mean vivi is very pretty
i hope that Imu hits this pose the next chapter, lol
reminder that whatever imu shows now in combat, EOS luffy is going to be stronger or at least at the same level
Luffy will be stronger than everyone
yeah, I'm just thinking about imu's possible feats and how luffy is going to eventually surpass that
How come king neptunian fubs never split
i think that Imu will remark how unexperienced Luffy is with the powers of Nika
Fins*
yeah, joyboy must have used all kinds of powers luffy doesn't even know about
most definitely
https://fixupx.com/KirigayaShimo/status/2039789863117918439
or it's just Oda being inconsistent..
im sure we'll be introduced to all of them in the VC flashback
and yea Imu's big. iirc he dwarfed the Gorosei when they transformed against Sabo
How could we compare to Loki? I'm guessing they are large or oda screwed up
Dont put too much faith in oda
Im still traumatized by egghead gorosei
I don't think it would be weird if they were giant sized tho
the thing is dont they look kinda human sized next to their attendant? And if they are huge what size dimension has the frozen strawhat then?
well they're just drawing estemations based on the castle spire being made for giants and Imu essentialy fitting in with the scale
Imu probably has a similair size manipulation as Luffy is able to do
well they were probably much bigger on Egghead than they were in the throne room. but yea Imu should be bigger than they are
I hope not tbh
imu could kill all five elders if he felt like it going by saturn's death, the basic expectation is that imu's a bigger threat than all of them (but I get the fear of oda potentially not delivering)
hmm it clearly was some kind of transformation
I really don't want it to be 1-1 powers
i would rather he stays just a bit bigger than the average human
not as big as wb for example
normal Imu is definitely smaller lol
No he’s definitely big even in the mural
im sure Oda will deliver. Imu's been portrayed as pretty insanely powerful so far
the killing off the elders isnt really a strength feat though, its just voiding the contract
yeah for sure, but i mean in the state he currently is in
that looks more like a hybrid form or a full zoan state
Tbh is he the big shadow or the weird Loki character? he doesn't have a hammer
Pretty sure that will be a dragon
Dragons and Satan are synonymous
just a different angle
https://d.tnktok.com/ZNRXeePUd/ oh my god
Man bb cant kill this dude fast enough 🤣
Do you think by the ending, Bb will have claimed Imu's power for himself?
i don't think so
two of imu's most feared
Maybe imu is taking peoples dreams and trapping them in fruits
So he trapped nika in a fruit
I’m on either that or the Kraken
But main thing is I’m absolutely on him being the final antagonist
I don't think BB want it I think he just wants king of the world......dolfamingo can tho
But he’s fucking him
HE'S WHAT
No not like that 😭
i am leaning towards Imu possessing every devil fruit ability at this point
truly the originiator of them all, encompassing each and every one of them
This had been my theory for a while like he's a dream eater that feeds on other dreams than when necessary uses the dreams to create powers
imu is probably the forest god from the mural and has the ability to give people demon powers
devil's fruit
that could mean either his ability is to create devil fruit or it is the first, the original devil fruit
I think it's very possible cus of the dancing trees that shit weird
i wonder who the earth god would be then
The number of people that said Imu ate one of the first 20 devil fruits made me giggle
the one who unleashed the hellfire serpent
Or it's just the devil fruit
I don't think its an actual person, but maybe the ancient people were mining so much of that energy from the core of the planet that it caused the red line to pop up
true, instead of calling the fruit devil devil fruit model devil
the devil fruit is simpler
oh that's a neat idea
yeah who knows, it could be a literal person as well lol
Yes
Soon
I do think some devil fruits don't come from this process tho idk what ones do or don't
I've cleaned him up so that you can make your colored version of Imu
time to make my version
oh fuck, I forgot one spot
cant wait for oda to make him have purple skin green horns orange hair and blue tattoos

He’s beautiful
lucci >
you should color him too
I don’t believe in colors
Oh it’s nami
They’re not real
lucci more like poocci
Colors were created by Crayola to sell their crayons
He’s a good liar too after all hiding in the shadows
namimu
lucci >
actually, just fucking around with hue after finishing the colors kinda slaps
Carful you might find one better than Odas and never be able to unsee it
Damn Imu is just a ganondorf
goated
@brittle basin as the resident nerona nami fanboy I think I should tag you
How come no one's going crazy about confirmation shanks specifically stole Nika on purpose
imu is kindof deathflagging huh
It was always pretty obvious
I thought that was implied with the nika reveal yeah
Right. So much so, I thought it was implied that his mission in the holy land had to do with getting intel on the fruit
Which we don’t know yet why he went there
true that'd make some sense
I do feel like every once in a while people react a lot to things I thought we already had been told, while I just had assumed it
I think who's who said it was stolen from a navy ship?
although he may well have gained the info on which ship it was on by using his temporary authority as a celstial dragon
who's who got thrown into prison and became a pirate because he failed to protect the fruit, or something similar
that's why he namedropped nika, because it was a prison tale
yeah
Guys i think most ppl didnt get the imu reveal wasnt his baseform
all of them look stunning
Fuck ussop
It’s the same kind of form as G5, seems like
I still expect him to look funny in his normal non-demon form
Oda didn’t show us base form imu to hide his clown nose for longer
He clearly transformed
does his base form just look like the silhouette
It was a point of contention, and never really confirmed till now
i think that is his base form, the other one is just a concealed version
He's also a fucking ancient giant somehow now
like i think that this is how he appeared when he was going against Joyboy and Davy Jones
I like the idea that the imu we see is Luffy old/ weak/ small form
He's huge
no, he is huge given the castle is scaled for giants
and Imu fits the scale effortlessly
I think it's possible all humans used to be really big
He may not be Anciant giant size Loki
certainly not, but he is by all means a giant figure
No he's actually an ancient giant. He seems normal sized relative to the castle, but when you take into account how giant it is you'll know he's at least giant size.
at least when we see him in this chapter
he has the horns
Id argue this chapter does nothing more to confirm it than what we previously knew.
The montage was showing key events that led us to Imu descending, and we see Shanks being named as the person stealing the fruit. That doesn’t tell us if it was intentional or not. But we can already assume that it was
I think this was a theory but maybe the small people are aliens and giants were the true people..but we also have tontanta
though, i think it's similair to Luffy how he manipulates his size to fit the scenario
true
he mgiht be like King size?
bigger than a regular person but not an actual giant
I think he is bigger than the average giant but smaller than Loki and Harold?
Judging from the windows on the castle
iirc he wasn't massively taller than gunko i nthat flashback
he'd be like towering over her if so
well that was his concealed state
This is a different form, yeah
oh right joyboy also mightve been huge given the Big Hat
But will see if oda fixes this too
Why would Imu hide his true form under that black cloak? 🤔
Dont think hes big at least not in his regular form
seems like they purposely supress their power
i am leaning towards the idea that Imu has essentialy every devil fruit ability
at least an aspect of every one
like, it wouldn't shock me if we saw Imu manifest thorns next chapter or even unleash a construct similair to Cerberus
Thats a bit of a stretch tbh, at least in my opinion it is
i think it's fitting for the devil
I think they will have specific define powers or steal powers via dream eating
Nightmares?
If no one's attacking Imu at Mariejois, why wouldn't he remove the black cloak if he can be at full power without it?
here's an aspect similair to Big Mom's soul soul fruit for example
I'm surprised imu is going to elbaf rather than whatevers happening at marisjois
That's just awakening tho
This is pretty much biblical inspiration, the monsters signaling the coming of the devil
maybe they're actively hurt while using the full extent of their power, hence the blood when they went into it
Don't think it stretches that far tbh
it could be both
True
Here's a comparison between Loki and Imus sizes relative to the Asuret Castle
so both Gaban and Imu has taken one tower each from Ouest castle now
But if Imu removes the black cloak and doesn't fight, wouldn't that mean he is not using his full power?
I also had an idea that we know devil fruits have lasting effects so if Imu gives powers out they don't just disappear that might be one way creation of devil fruits maybe why some have black clouds and some are white
Also is inu bleeding for Teleportation or transformation?
honestly, i think we have far too little details to conclude anything lol
anything is possible
But what would be your guess?
right now i am leaning towards that Imu puking up blood is part of their transformation, sort of like a rite for it
I'm under the impression that he just cannot stay in the lower world. Even the elders pleaded him not to go
I mean I even think there just frail from all the contracts maybe too
Don't think it's related to either teleportation or transformation
Yeah I think that could be many things like tbh if Imu dies does all the gorsei die?
Teleportation he spat blood before transforming
i think they're actively supressing the power they hold, probably a reason for why they wanted to become immortal in the first place as this power would crush a mortal probably
Or is it just any power use
Highly doubt hes gonna die, but his stay in Elbaph most definitely wont stretch out too far
Seemed fine when he killed saturn
i've seen the idea floating around that Imu created the devil fruits
That's would be apart of him so it wouldn't be using powers it would be taking them back
So even if Imu removes the black cloak and sleeps, that would release his power?
i don't think they remove it when they don't have to, if they sleep they'd just sleep in that black blob state
also promoting haralds mark if it counts as using his powers (unless the gorosei did that)
I'm thinking some but not all I think devil fruits were present before but I don't think they were called devil fruits till Imu fruits starter appearing
They didn't, Imu does that
So when Imu appears to the 20 kingdoms in public, do you think he is in his black cloak or not?
Imu says it takes something from Then when he does that lol

Meaning Imu is hurt or loses power when making a contract
if you're talking about way back when the void century was happening, then i think that the was more similair to the form he has now and then later that power started to drain him more and more which caused him to take the concealed state
maybe..
Also I was thinking maybe the sun hurts Imu so they have to be covered all the time
Dude has hypersensitivity to polluted air
Imu's form in the last panels is about as big as a giant
When he's transformed yes
with no one else to scale to I wouldnt take that as confirmed tbh
His regular form is pretty regular in terms of size
we know how Oda is with sizes
He 's standing on top of the spire of a giant's castle
So the black cloak supresses his powers or the pain specifically?
ok, the giants held the sunny in their hand which is supposedly larger than them
both probably
It's a giant castle with giant windows we have some comparison or Oda will have retcon/ fix the panel
