In case of Imu you could excuse it by him being nerfed by Gunko’s body if he lost but I think he might get “defeated” through Brook’s music.

But then again the story is getting harder to predict from each arc, like that happened with Egghead with how no one expected the entire Gorosei to pull up, I think the main reason why it’s unpredictable cause Egghead and Elbaf never had established conflicts prior to their arcs let alone the main antagonist of both islands.

This contrasts something like Wano where we know what the conflict is and how it would be solved way ahead before the arc began which is by defeating Kaido
