Finally got to OPLA. Only 1 episode though. Great start, every character was great. Buggy was channeling his best Joker. Smoker had great action scenes even if he was a bit flat acting wise. Like the change with giving Tashigi a little something more. Robin was fantastic, she joins Sanji with having a great accent. Nami, Usopp, and Sanji were all BETTER than their originals. And loved the cameos that were a surprise, though one makes me very sad 😭
The only problem weirdly was Luffy himself, who felt more like a caricature than a character. He felt stiff, flat, and one-note. Even his famous scaffold scene was completely cringe.
All in all, great beginning. I'll have to get to episode 2 later tonight or tomorrow.

I dunno, there is an SBS where Oda says that Whitebeard is old fashioned and only brought his sons to Marineford and not daughters.

There’s the history of Crocodile and Ivankov.

There’s the resentment Crocodile has with Whitebeard.

It made sense to me at the time.
