I guess I was moreso referring to that specific sequence, it felt too much like a quick "life flashing before someone's eyes" type montage, than the immersive flashbacks that I prefer.

Just Oda briefly touching upon every detail in as little time as possible, like its an infodump rather than some lived experience of a character.

A pretty simple arc there.
