what if certain zoan-type DFs can grant conq's haki, for example, hito-hito models where the type is a figure that is naturally a conqueror
and maybe thats why harald or loki getting the special fruit was dangerous because a giant-sized conq getting another "layer" of conqs would make HKGs absolute fodder and pose a significant threat to imu as a result
(this would also suggest that luffy got a haki boost from eating the nika fruit btw, although im not trying to say that luffy wasnt born with conqs) || this theory is also shanks upscale because shanks not eating a fruit means his conq's haki is purely from hardwork ||

The whole idea is that this is a man who is actively working against the government and Imu right now. Shiryu was somewhat right but the reality is completely inverse from what he was personally speculating. He is holding the final key to the One Piece because he believes he must be the one to choose which pirate gets to reach the One Piece, he is a gatekeeper seeking the worthy challenger to the entire WG. As for the how, any number of reasons can work, he could simply have the knowledge to severe his connection with Imu just by being one of the closest men to Imu.

Now I actually formed the theory before the mural was even revealed but one thing that is worth noting is that on the side of the devil, there are only 6 men. 5 are sailing a boat, same number as the Gorosei and the 6th is falling down from the ship, this can be either interpreted as him being betrayed or jumping ship, I am going with the latter. The inital idea comes from the parallels between Imu and Doffy, I believe this guy is supposed to be the Corazon to Imu's Doflamingo. A good natured man who was close to Imu, doing anything to foil his plans. The "traitor" archetype that exists in pretty much most factions in the series. Corazon was literally introduced with him accidentally setting himself on fire and that is a gag thats repeated many times with him, and he actually does have a lot of scars on his body from the time he was burnt at the stake by Anti-Celestial folks. Oda loves his parallels.
