I had thought about this. One thing that I read about Vikings is that they valued a sort of spiritual and social currency called Drengskapr. It's roughly analogous to honor, a person's honor ins Viking society at the very least was a function of their Drenngskapr, and a man who had an ample amount of Drengskapr was referred to as Drengr. A drenger is essentially the ideal Viking. What increased a man's drengskapr are about what you'd expect — demonstrations of courage, loyalty, a certain degree of honesty etc. Ragnir might determine who is worthy to wield it by evaluating their drengskapr. Loki is a drenger, then Ragnir will allow him to be its master. But I don't know if Oda's going to go that deep with Viking culture like that though lol
