I wonder if its just a reset and theyll drain it afterwards
I'm pretty sure there's more than that
Hm?
It takes two sides using cataclysmic weapons
I’m pretty sure the great kingdom did that fighting the alliance
It is tragic. Ida was tragic too. I think though they knew she was poisoned and Loki was able to let them know
I feel bad for Harald
I feel like a lot of 200 islands that were destroyed may have been collateral damage in the war, not necessarily intentionally targeted
I felt bad for Homing too actually
but who knows, Imu may have just been nuking islands for fun
he is kinda insane like that
I do find it interesting that the countries that used to belong to the 20 all survived
And they don’t have access to those weapons, so they need to build themselves a path towards them
I appreciate guys like them. Good-natured, but gullible people who will get taken advantage of or not perceptive enough
true yea, implies that Joyboy was not directly targeting them atleast
@rich hornet Does the WG have Pluton and Poseidon yes or no?
Like clearly they are part of a wider plan
They have one. Thats all you need to be a participant
With Homing, he folded like immediately, I like that Harald stuck it out and it wasn't for his own interests, but for others. Homing was more so curious, kind of hipster-y and then couldn't take it when things went wrong
For all we know, only Uranus has the world sinking side effect
Clearly not if they still haven’t done it
Done what
I feel more for homing cuz he was just an idiot
I don't think there were targets persay. I think the flooding happened as an after affect of the use of the ancient weapons
He wasnt blinding himself
Sank the world on its entirety and not hiding about it
He kinda was
He expected to just be accepted by the world with open arms, just cause he went to an unaffiliated nation
hello good morning one piece community
Well they aren’t pushed to that point yet. The world isn’t rebelling in full yet
Hello other buggy
It's different for sure. But I'll say that Homing was being chased and tortured wherever he went. Most people are tapping out after that lol
the better one, surely
Well homing couldn't go back
I mean, he tapped out after that too, he just had no where to go
That has yet to be seen. Both of you are.... 😑
Ok but if they didn’t care about their public image like you said, why don’t they just do it?
I mean, everything fell apart and he immediately gave up on his goal/dream and called it a day
Yeah we're not disagreeing lol
Easier to control the world this way
I’m aware. I’m saying the flooding was the great kingdoms doing in their fight against them
Yes, I was just extrapolating
I’m not saying they are trying to destroy the world just for fun. I’m saying they will rather destroy it than give up control. Control is all they care about. They care about their image to the extant it helps maintain control, and have no trouble taking the mask off and doing a public genocide when they need to. See Lulusia
Both Doflamingo & Shamrock got deceived by their younger brothers lol
Yup
poor guys just wanted to be evil together with their brothers
I don't know if Sham really was, at least not until we see his side. Shanks was rather obvious.
And if anyone would know, a twin might

I’ve been doing a reread and I have to apologize to Harald. He’s truly one of the best characters man
he’s pretty good yeah
I would like to see maybe Shamrock was becoming happier with shanks around, so when shanks left he felt betrayed and saddenened
This week’s chapter made me cry
I don’t think you can call Lulusia a “public genocide” when they just talked about erasing it from history and how it never existed. And even then, so many in the world would just find their actions justifiable because they were taken over by what people view as hooligans which only overthrow kingdoms.
I have been doing a reread and I have to apologize to ida , ida wasn’t the reason harald turned into such a bitch , it’s because HE DIDNT FULLY LISTEN TO HER
Just the silence in those panels when Ida died was heartbreaking. Loki, Hajrudin, Harald. All of their reactions depressed me
Harald does come off kind of dumb after this chapter lol
That silent page was so good
i’m really hoping this is the case, since i can’t imagine garlic was that good a father
He is, a lot of people want to call him dumb, and an idiot, but he tried his best with what he had to work with and it just turned out tragically, though his ideals were good ones and he did ultimately turn Elbaph for the better.
This is reinforced in the current chapter where ida says she actually likes the giant warrior pride and he once again ignored her
I think harald is just in the ultimate denial stage
If you’re a member of a WG gov country and one week you read an article about Lulusia rebelling and next week the country “never existed” how are you supposed to parse that information
harald was dumb and naive but he genuinely did want to change things for the better
Ida is my queen, I kneel
he couldn’t have known the scale of the evil he was dealing with
I think if Harald was the same guy he was before Ida. If Imu had offered him more power off the bat in exchange for making Elbaph an army for him. He probably would have accepted.
Do you think there’s a chance both Shamrock & Shanks find out what Garling did to their mother? I suspect Dragon might tell them
(granted imu should’ve been a bit more of a red flag)
He should have listened to ida’s every word down to the T, he wanted to realize her dream without actually listening to her details
Ida’s *
If they didn’t make headlines about the kingdom being destroyed, then it’s not public.
yeah the message of the arc is pretty obvious with ida
I don't think he's an idiot. But lord this last chapter.. he's blinded by desperation to achieve his goals yeah
there was plenty of red flags most likely. But yea harald is a good guy he wanted to help his country and allat
changing things for the better without completely throwing away tradition
That's why they don't reveal him until its too late to matter. Imu played the long game here for a reason. He's been stringing Harald into his web for practically 50+ years
It’s so well written and beautiful and i appreciate both characters for their role in this tragedy
I see. But it’s not a secret either. You’ll find out when you don’t get your milk that week
I htink he is an idiot unfortunately, but hes doing the best he can for his people
Depends on if he cared enough to say anything
Shamrock loses his arm as well and joins Shanks & Buggy as brothers like the ASL trio. The SBS trio
Was Lulusia known for exporting milks? Did I miss a page about that?
Genuine question I’m curious now lol
harald intentionally ignored all the bad the WG did so he could get his country integrated into the world and move on from their reputation
cover story i think
There was a whole cover story about it lol
Yes, from the cover story
Ah well
Intentions aren't enough
Harald ignored every sign of how evil the wg is
Guess they will just find milk from somewhere else
While I would love it, sadly his arm should just grow back. I think Harald is trying that here and it's not going to work
The only thing that's keeping me from saying that is because he was capable of fostering good relations with people. I feel like that has to indicate that he's not stupid... but he was just doing some dumb stuff this last chapter and that's why if someone calls him a fool, I'm not gonna push back on it really lol
I think that just shows hes a kind genuine person. kinda like luffy
Yeah lol
I don’t think he’s a bitch but misunderstood what Ida said and started this trend of him committing the worst decisions at every opportunity
The decisions that WE the readers know to be the worst decisions. Harald genuinely believed his actions helped the giants overall even if he had to kiss the ground the WG chapter on. And this chapters shows how much the giants perception changed from being seen as monsters to friendly and great allies. And that happened unironically working with the WG
Us the readers know they cannot be trusted and yea this chapter confirms, yet again, to us they cannot be trusted. Harald was rugpulled. Prior to this everything he did worked towards his goal of improving Elbafs image and getting them to be part of the world community
he really did improve his country as a result of what he did
Serious question - is Loki taller than Harold?
Unsure
Probably the same
It's more so taking the pros with the cons. You don't think good kings like Cobra or Riku know how evil the WG can be? They do, but they still work as a member nation because its best for their country
I think they're thereabouts the same height
Currently, I don't think so? Hard to tell, and Oda's scaling is...interesting
I think yes, or around the same
The warrior culture should have been aimed at protecting Elbaph and its allies rather than being put behind completely
The world government does a really really bad job of hiding their depravity
Well they barely even do try
Only the worst of the worst is hidden like the genocide games (which harald knows of)
This what I would've done
Once Imu sama & Garling perishes. Hopefully they can reunite as a family once again
Tbf Harald never knew about Imu but he was willing to be a slave for wg
Exactly, it seems like Hajrudin is about Loki’s knees but when he is about Harold’s chest in the latest chapter. The height scaling is so inconsistent man
Also i assume he knows about the tale of ohara, a little annoyed that bit was skipped over
But my mindset different than Harald's. He was adamant to do right and foster good relations with everyone. So maybe he had to join the WG
The problem was that their warrior culture had gone way too far to the other extreme, so far that other giants were afraid of them. They were even killing each other over land and what not. It took an extreme shift to not only correct Elbaph but also how people saw them. I can see why Harald was afraid to of going back into that, though he DID say that he didn't want people to fully stop being warriors. He himself is a warrior after all.
I think this is what Ida meant, the culture should have been improved not thrown away
Ida shouldve seen mariejois
Shes kind hearted
Let her look at the slaves and how theyre treated
I think after this chapter, I am seeing a sort of Bellamy situation where Sham doesn't want to fight Shanks but will be forced to thanks to his mark.
Ida would've spat on it
I think she would've still cosigned what Harald was doing tbh lol
In fact, im sure a CD wouldve wanted her
At worst he’s naive but the path to hell is paved with good intentions. I’d argue that if he didn’t get rugpulled by Imu at the end when what they wanted clashed Elbaf would’ve been better off. Harald had no reason to distrust the WG as they filled their end of the deal and Giants relations with everyone improved drastically
He regrets what happened with rocks and on a personal level he probably would’ve preferred to work with him. But allying with rocks wouldn’t guarantee that Elbaf as a whole would be better off because the story then becomes “giants Ally with world’s worst criminal” and their reputation plummets
Ida was the best ruler/counselor after all
Probably lol
lowkey could see that
Sure, because that's just him. HE is the one paying the price for his entire country. Many a good king would take that option
In a sense, Hajrudin & Loki will help accomplish Ida & Harald’s dream. Loki will definitely be seen as a hero by the end of this Arc & hopefully be cleared of the defamation done to his image by Queen Estrid & her family
Ida was out there in the world. I think slavery has become so normalized, that she has to be aware of it
I understand that it's hard, but in the end he moved from one extreme culture to the extreme of its opposite
Aww no that will hurt to watch 💔 Unfortunately that’s very possible
Yeah there needed to be a balance but King Harald went so extreme at it. Even Saul commented that Harald has sacrificed a lot by doing this
Correct, I think if Imu had strung him along even more so, start with a small regiment and then build and build, Harald would have probably gone along with it. However, Imu didn't think to take his time because Harald is now totally in his grasp now.
His over correction makes total sense, given like, everything.
He likely has immense guilt over the decades he spent terrorizing, raiding, burning, and murdering as a young man.
I think over time, he would have balanced things out, or have left it to his successor. He just didn't want his entire country to go backwards the way it went once again
Converts are always more radical than those born into their ideals
I'm going to put out a pretty crazy theory:
What if the person who stole the fruit, was Shanks?
That’s not that crazy I don’t think
I agree that the community is being harsh in criticizing him and things were not black and white from his position
@haughty saddle
Harald also did it out of love & to make Ida happy
@haughty saddle
The thing is, no one has mentioned this fruit except Rocks, but really that's it. Who would actually care about the fruit and who would have the opportunity?
When she passed away, it’s even more reason for him to do the things that he did. To honor her memory the best that he can
@proud pivot @proud pivot
Though Shanks hasn't mentioned it either, but I can't really think of anyone else
What up big dawg!!!!
Cam!!!!!!!
How've you been
Thriving and shit like that man wby
Same goat
The crazy part is, what if Shanks' mission WAS to get the fruit and that's what he wanted to talk to Harald about. And while everything went down, he steals the fruit, gives it to the WG to stay in their good graces, only to steal it back a year later as a pirate?
you love to see it
What was your most used emote this year ari
I was thinking that he wanted to warn Harald of the consequences of getting the Depths Covenant, the one he himself avoided
I really don't think the Elbaf fruit can be the Nika fruit anymore if Rocks didn't even know about Nika
thats why he said he needs to talk to him before its too late
which it was
Unless he just knows something very vague like "Elbaf fruit is strong"
now speaking of that, I wonder who clued Shanks in about that? I like the Shamrock idea
had to be shamrock
That's possible too. I feel like once the spot is filled, you havce to wait a while for a new one to open up, which would give Shanks time
they seemed close
Could've been him
But that can't be true because he knows the fruit would be more effective in Harald's hands so he knows what it does
I don't know about close lol. But I just see that potential redemption for him
What if Gunko's memories slipped a bit & she warned Shanks?
Peak...
Shamrock could maybe atleast regret getting it, and hoping for that to not happen to his brother
I'd like to see how Shanks even found out about his family in the first place
Roger for sure
"Hey King Harald. Sorry I called you yeti milker up there. No hard feelings right haha"
I believe Teach is the one who told Shanks about the whole wg plot as Rocks seemed to know a lot about them
"yeti milker?"
This AI is getting too good now bruh ts almost fooled me
I don't get it
She's too deep in I think. I have a theory that she hit her head as a kid and thats why she lost her memories
robert downey as rayleigh
I was taking about something else
lol, they wouldn't have enough money to pay RDJ to be in OP
oh yea, reminds me, did a HK die offscreen or something? or was a spot open all along
Besides, Netflix just recently spent a ton on acquiring Warner Bros
Any person saying that AI won't be able of creating facsimiles of human art is big time coping lol
Speaking of this, i don't think theres a limit & just only 13 in the world had previously reached HK status
Eris even said something about Rocks not being ready to fight Imu
The Davy clan has some kind of journal passed down or something
alternatively, maybe 13 is just the number of privileged ones that already existed, and theres no-
yeah I was gonna say
83 Billion is wild as fuck
yea, Kierran, maybe theres just no limit whatsoever
thats what i spend on lunch
I don't see why he would. Teach and Shanks aren't chummy or even talk. And Teach barely tells his own men anything. I think Teach is more like Rocks at least in that way. He trusts no one really. He didn't even tell his best friend about Imu
Netflix owning hbo now is crazy
I don't use streaming services, but that is crazy
Which is crazy things are getting casually monopolized now
I assume so? Unless the 13 number can shift
Well when i say no limit, i don't mean literally no cap... thats obviously too broken but you get the idea
they didnt say that only 13 would ever be allowed in, they said only 13 currently have it
so I could see it
Imu’s pitchfork & grimoire book was interesting
yea I dont mean that hundreds can exist, but anywhere from 10-20 or whatever should be fine and theres no hard limit on it
I doubt they just demote a HK when a Devoted Blade is good enough to be a HK, or they just wait forever for one of them to die. That would be a bit of a flawed system lol
just give the mid ones early retirement
I get what you’re saying and yeah I completely agree , that was just my crass way of putting it , if only he listened to ida more carefully , he was like a dog that found a good bone (Ida’s dream) and started to wear horse blinders (metaphorically)blocking his vision from anything else that could have been important
I think it's gonna be similar to moria where the more people imu has to control the harder it is
Honestly yea Imu should’ve taken his time to get Harald to build everything up and keep using the carrot but he just went for the stick immediately
Yeti HK sadly passed away of old age so they had an open spot
why the desperation though? especially since Imu just casually waited another 14 years to even do it again?
maybe at most Teach told him he plans to to rule the world but i don’t think he would tell Shanks much more than that .. we saw Shanks talk to WB and say “Teach won’t ever be satisfied and will keep aiming for the top “ maybe he knew that based on what Teach told him when they fought in the past
well Imu was planning to wait, he was going to promote Shanks
his disappearance just put Harald next in line
wait for what? the world to flood?
It would be a bit wasteful too... you got whats supposed to be an immortal soldier & if we look at Saturn as having his contract removed... Imu just killing off an immortal soldier because a new & better one came along just seems unlikely (Saturn was around for at least 200 years after all)
yea
to prove himself further I guess
You could argue shanks himself is what caused a delay in Harald becoming an Hk overall , because if shanks didn’t decide to insert himself into mariejois they would have just went straight to Harald
not really desperation. imu might've just assumed if harald refuses he could take control and do it anyway. imu just didnt expect harald to be killed so quickly
also true yea
Oh, btw. So Imu can't domi reversi through the pentagram? Since Harald is resisiting?
He probably will eventually , like next chapter , rocks resisted too
like they have to be there, even if through proxy like Gunko?
Not confirmed yet
it's also ironic that harald took the spot that shanks was supposed to get while shanks was probably trying to warn harald not to take the offer
hurry up and confirm it in two weeks oda
I think domi reversi is kinda pointless because this is a better contract that already lets Imu directly control them
yeah, Harald said that he wont last long anyways
It honestly already looked like he was being taken over and the same thing that was happening to rocks was happening to Harald , Harald may have a better resistance to it , he was equal to rocks after all and he’s an ancient giant , but clearly by the time loki gets there Harald has ordered his men to stab him
To prevent the turning , but I doubt that helps
so he is resisting now, but eventually it was over for his mind
Yeah i dont see domi reversi being used here
domi reversi seems good at creating immediate armies at the very least.
Harald will just lose complete control
Domi Reversi seems to have the lowest level of contracts, the Diabolical Covenant
And clearly he ordered his own guards to stab him
this all is more reserved for HKs
But that is a fruitless effort
@ashen perch even yt is doing this
is domi even a contract if it's forced?
lmao
imu had no pressing need at the time
All of it can be argued as forced , a branding is a forceful gesture
Oh I like WWW!
he didnt know nika was coming back
I enjoy his content
Hk is a branding
He’s funny af
tbh YT makes sense, but Discord doing it is crazy
harald still had a lot of life left to live
Yeah, Imu realized he had to expedite shit
I didnt need Discord to tell me that I am a fucking loser who is among the top 0.36% chatters on the entire platform
like come on
I think Harald in his last breathe asks Loki to eat the fruit of elbaf and end him

It's all about his own benefit
Hurting the wg in any way and trying to recruit Shanks to his side
Mhm. I enjoy the skits he does sometimes in his reviews as well. I think one of my favorite videos is when he tried out a WWE cookbook
I really want to know what overall goal Imu has? Or is it just simply "keep ruling"
Don't think it was desperation, it's just that once a spider has you full bound in its web, why wait?
slack recap when?
I DEFINITELY SEE THAT
the endgame was for the world to simply vanish according to Gunko
why Imu wants that, who knows
elbaf was kinda sorry even 14 years ago. Better to get them militarized so theyre ready for when needed
create a new world possibly with his devil magic
What he's using isn't DR, it's more like the contract itself is doing it. Imu doesn't have to do anything
maybe
He wants to build a space highway directly thru where the planet is , since he’s from space after all

in that moment i know that he's not. but since domi is pretty immediate i just assumed he would go for that ace first
hard to tell, there will be a clensing in the future though
Can imu be from space AND the sea god?
Imu was so good this chapter, Oda is doing a great job with him
Space-Sea Piece
I think Imu is very paranoid about the “promise” of Joyboy’s
That’s why Imu killed Saturn
Black holes = space = abyss = ocean
I love that panel with Imu's eyes above Harald
No need, this contract is far more binding, plus the person doesn't have to scare people as a demon.
Same , it got very He-man masters of the universe out of nowhere
Imu can be from space and the sea devil/god yea, theres that whole trope of gods being just aliens that humans began to worship
Not sure if Joyboy had a promise, only Davy so far.
Oda might have his own take on that, who knows
do you think Imu will go that route if Harald is too resistant to the current contract?
Joyboy had a promise , reread FMI
But we haven't seen Teach even consider Shanks. They barely know each other
yeah i loved that, real old school animation vibes.
That was to the mermaid princess not Imu
Oh , yeah
I meant in general there’s a promise with joyboy
btw fire this architect
Imu will fall victim to Down D. Stairs
Okay kuina death is believable now
The true Final Boss of OP
I D. A
I dont think Koushiro had an empty throne somewhere in Shimotsuki
Gandhi koushiro connections
Or maybe same architect
wait true
Yeah it's more of an assumption
We only know they met and Teach scarred him
I am basing this only on the knowledge the Davy seems to have on wg
now we're getting the tinfoil out
I wonder what former kingdoms the Elders used to rule over before moving to Mariejois
The one thing that the HK have in common is they all stemmed from Royalty, including Harald
Anime could go all in on this and make a water droplet sound right before this panel lol
also reminds me of a whirlpool
I hope Imu was the original king of Ballywood
“Imu takes what they wants they want” is probably their thought process. Harald died that project probably went nowhere for a while until now that it’s needed again
Do you guys think imu sometimes shoots the shit through telepathy with the gods knights when he’s bored?
Nusjuro the former Shogun of Wano but Joyboy protected the rest of the people by making the wall
They didn’t have another puppet king of elbaf after Harald died , seems like they wanted to make the subjugation look willing at first , as if they needed the puppet king for it first
Yo killingham wanna grab a beer later?” “Very cool how you killed those slaves Garling”
i hope we get a proper explanation for what members have what covenant
i assume most of them have the depth one
When Nusjuro noticed Zoro’s Kitetsu. It made me ponder if Nusjuro possibly met the creator of the Kitetsu swords since he’s so ancient
but maybe some exceptions have the abyssal
Maybe he didn’t want to use domi reversi on the giants right away and wanted them to become willing soldiers first , maybe domi reversi in a wide range strains him?
Just shooting out stuff
or if he is the creator
I mean he has Shodai Kitetsu
Every gods knight have the depths. Abyssal is probably reserved for the elders
Harbald
well the distinction between 'commander' and 'supreme commander' must mean something
Gunko could very well be Abyssal too
Since Shallow just gives them access to the abyss. Depths gives them immortality but not agelessness. Abyssal probably gives them immortality + agelessness
if i had to guess, Shamrock and Gunko at least will have abyssal
Harald is more gullible than Oden, idk that was possible
Or at least has extra bits on top of the Depths
You remember in the episode with Imu and Cobra? I can now see why it took so long for Imu to ascend the throne 😆
Oh true Gunko could be an exception since she’s Imus personal attendant
Gunko doesn’t age like the 5 Elders. It’s very plausible she does have the abysmal super max contract like them
We should do gullible scaling
Harald wins for now i guess
It feels like an image thing since they love to portray as this willfully good org. Harald just happened to knock into their doorstep and Imu took that chance.
Elbaph being left alone for 14 years also makes sense since they didn't wanted to forcefully subjugate an entire nation which would have hurt their image. All hell broke loose after the VP's broadcast and they no longer care about it. They are preparing for the final war.

But Garling aged.
I think Harald did nothing wrong
I think the earlier contracts slow aging
kinda cracked how Imu can literally just control you when you've got the depth covenant
Abyssal is probably for elders + gunko since she personally attends to Imu
He should’ve sided with rocks
Garling was a God Knight the majority of the story until recently becoming an Elder
well Sommers did have a different mark so that might not be true
To be fair you have to walk into that one
damn do you guys think gunko has a yokai form too?
I disagree. I think Oden was doing it all for Orochi and Kaido and had little to show for his efforts, but with Harald, he SAW the benefit. What he wanted was right there. It WAS working. It wasn't like he was constantly doing it and got nothing back.
i think it's a bit weird if 'commander' and 'supreme commander' gets nothing extra granted, despite the distinction of their rank
I think Sommers just has a regular ass tattoo
sommers has the level 2 armband
ida is gone 🦀
And he can just domi reversi you
but its possible that he just happens to have a tattoo too for some reason
So I think if you have the highest tier of contract with Mu sama. Your appearance will forever stay the same
yeah but when you have, you're fucked essentialy
same he probably extended it on his own 😭
Imu told shanks to bring baby oil and he dipped
armband isnt the mark on the body tho, its different
You got the duck too ?
😭
yea
That’s either a different mark or just a random tattoo he got
I thought I was special but apparently everyone gets the duck smh
why would he have a level 2 armband with level 3 tattoo
Right but I’m commenting on the fact that Gunko didn’t age much. I think they both do, but slowly
it could be
what duck?
I saw someone get a snail
Been calling them snail boy
That would have been the wrong call.
It's actually interesting, I think GLR pointed this out that no matter which direction they went, Rocks way or Harald's way, both of them ended up in the same spot.
I got the rare capybara

I hope it is rare since I haven't seen anyone else with it
ooh I have just seen ducks so far but thats neat
is it random
shamrock also probably has it
yea the capybara is rare

if its just the symbol of HKs, he would still be wearing it
since he can summon cerberus using the same seal
Capybara for sure is rare
That’s true but Oden was on a hostage situation where he was guaranteed to lose something. Harald would’ve been fine doing nothing and reforming more locally or siding against the WG
i hope the bonsai is rare but i saw a ton of people with it yesterday so it prob isnt
They don’t. Garling aged but we know the elders don’t age so they must have some extra. Same with Gunko but she’s a special case
I think it's pretty simple:
Blades of god: Shallows
Holy Knights: Depths
Elders: Abyssal
What the hell is Sommers tattoo then
and they just happen to be the same symbols?
Just a tattoo probably
where my deep deep bros at
Because I doubt he got abyssal
They get to give orders, why should they get more?
i think he just got it on his own
i guess he thought it looked good
i mean i can understand 'commander' not getting more, but 'supreme commander' should be abyssal in my opinion
I got an origami one
🫡
yeah that's true
why did Sommers just feel like getting a tattoo on his left arm
Why would Sham have abyssal?
How ???
He has regen
The tattoo wouldn't stick
😭
also true yea
He just told the artist to freestyle
Needle acoc
Saint Garling when he strutted into the room of Authority:
Idk aura
I guess he got that tattoo before he became a god knight ?
Why does any character ever have tattoos
the abyss marks so far have only been on the left arm, so thats why I kinda question that
OMG, duh. We're so dumb. He had the tattoo BEFORE he became a knight. Thus the mark just happens to be on the same arm
Is that why some of them have the mark on armbands
The tattoo doesn’t have to be on the arm does it?
Its the only way I can think of this working. Cause otherwise they have a tattoo artist with acoc doing crazy work.
It's definitely not the abyssal because as much as I love him Sommers is a bum, plus he ages normally
A tramp stamp tattoo lmao
It's like why the Elders have scars, they had them before they got regen
its not like he has shown any aditional powers that regular hk dont get
The symbol on the armband is likely the Knights’ symbol
i think it's very funny if Sommers just chose to get that tattoo since he thought it looked good on him
Yea I mean maybe
The one with horns that qillinham has is the GK mark
I refuse to believe that old fuck got an abyssal mark
its been on Shanks and Harald's left arms so far, and people have speculated that thats a reference to the left hand being associated with the devil
hey guys wtf is the point of Oda showing us the mark on Shanks if it doesn’t change anything about his character?
it might be somewhere else but who knows, that kinda makes sense to me
That he used to be a gods blade
Yeah I wouldn't ask if it wasnt the same general area the tattoo is in
why is the left hand of the devil
they've also been above the elbow and more on the tricep side. sommers' tattoo was under the elbow
In cartoons the devil on the shoulder does seem to always pop on rhe left shoulder
but like why do we care
Cuz the devil ain’t right
If you look at sommers tattoo, it shows a bunch of thorns and vines. It's probably just his own flair
because left handed people are evil
While the angel is always in the right shoulder
It teased that he was apart of the blades before showing it to us
Because the left is sinister
For a while we had the designs for both
shanks losing his arm means he lost the ability to use the abyss im guessing
it was some biblical thing, idk
no but like if he got everything he wanted from the CDs and then dipped scott free and is super awesome and cool, why do we care
yeah because left handed people are evil
he cant be summoned against his will either
Imu accidentally doubled marked Sommers lol
Tattoo, not armband
Is this an American Dad reference
yea, but still the left arm
Because he was part of the group. They all get that shallow contract
More than likely
I assume they also have the mark on them
That doesn't seem optional
yea so like unless he still has a contract why do we care, why did Oda call attention to this
Historically left has been seen as evil. That's why left in latin is "sinister"
My half cooked theory is the arm band is for anyone who Imu deems interchangeable and the tattoo is for anyone Imu wants to be able to possess and keep closer eyes on
Losing his arm on purpose to terminate his contract or something
that's why the left is woke
That's how I rationalize it until we learn more
shanks has both tattoo and armband
Since Shanks had a Shallow Sea Contract. It was better for him to get rid of that arm before Imu converts it to a higher Deep Sea contract, which in that case he would be screwed
I mean " right" is the same word for " right"
Because it helps to recontextualize shanks losing his arm at foosha village. If he had the arm you’d probably assume he still has the mark. Without the arm he doesn’t have the mark anymore
How long do you guys think Oda had thought of all this, assuming that it's true
I imagine the Shallow contract still has a connection to Imu, dont see why it wouldnt
Shallow Sea Contract doesn’t seem to grant anything special, more like just an agreement that you’re associated with the WG
5 minutes prior to drawing it
It depends on how much we see of him later down the line. I still think he might have been the one to meet the elders
Like Shanks gave up his arm to get rid of his abyss tatt
Shanks came back from the surface world, maybe Imu tatted them with something more permanent because they may have had some inkling of what he was really doing
Yeah like a pathway to Imu’s approval. I think the real power starts with the deep sea
yea
It’s a superficial connextion
Probably didn’t think of it at the moment and added it later down the line
I mean, that's all CDs, It has to mean more than that
so like what does this add to his character that he used to have the lamest version of a curse and then broke it
Nah im like 78% sure you are correct
i agree
Probably a devil fruit if the recipient accepts it
Definitely
Like Spandem rewarding the CP9 agents
We dont really know a whole lot about the Shallow contract, it could still atleast allow Imu to excercise some level of control on the one who has it, or kill them instantly like he killed Saturn
Any chance of this still being a devil fruit
Right I think is dextra
Imu probably wouldve killed Shanks if that was true
Like a 6% chance
well not after the arm was eaten
It can still be a fruit
I just think the armband is there to make sure your mark is visible
One piece from odas vision at chapter 1 was way different than what we have today. He’s just tying things back together
Nothing I've seen makes me doubt that
Shanks’ haki was just that good
It's the sea devil possessing Nerona Imu the monarch
We just forgetting how complex some fruits are
Yeah but he doesnt instantly lose his arm after leaving
it actually could still be a fruit, this is similar to multiple DFs that we have seen in the series
well Imu may have not wanted to instantly kill him yknow
Like we haven't seen the soul fruit or moria's do this
and Sugar
Shallow: Teleportation to Pre Made Marks
Deep Sea: Regen, Immortality, Strength boost
Abyssal sea: Teleportation and the ability to create a working way point, and Yokai transformation.
Thats how I see it rn
Hobi Hobi
I think "Nerona Imu" was just the human identity that the earth god/sea devil put on
Soul fruit be like:
That's possible
"Must be an actual witch"
I've been leaning towards that too
Deep can place the abyss marking
She kinda bad I won't lie
like it could all still be a DF that is just the strongest we have ever seen. The most complete DF ever. The ultimate Devil Fruit. THE Devil Fruit.
Actually, come to think about it. If Harald can make a mark, can't anyone?
U can thank hera for that
My theory is that Imu started as good, but was slowly corrupted by the Earth God fruit and was completely possessed after awakening it.
Imagine if zeus was there instead
tbf the soul fruit didnt make people unkillable and in some cases unable to age
True
If it wasn't for the the fact that the art is clearly showing to be an armband, I woukd just say that its a part of their outfit that has been cut out so the mark is visible
I do think theres a good chance that Imu is just the devil, but he could also just have a DF thats called "The Devil Fruit"
Law's fruit can do that but Law would literally have to die to grant it
Im banking on mephistopheles
He got upgraded to Depths
Hobi Hobi no Mi did though, her toys were immortal
I don’t think the mark even at the abyssal level can straight up kill them if Imu wants. For depths Imu could command them to commit suicide and for Saturn I assume Imu removed the mark which caused him to immediately age and die
I wonder what did happen to all of the original 20 kings. I think after the Empty Throne vow, something did happen to them
Maybe that goes into Deep Sea
And the only ting Abyss grants is a Yokai form
All of them I imagine have crazy ego’s as well
Yeah, but any knight can then?
Good point
I hadn’t thought of it like that
Presumably yeah
Just nobody in the Shallows contract
I was under the impression that you needed to get to the final level to receive immortality but Harald was given immortality at the 2nd level
Sugar also wears a crown. Just like Imu
Immortality in this case is regeneration
^
they probably all fought for the throne and imu won and just made up the story about laying down their swords
Perennial youth is still presumably level 3
We know level 2 has immortality because all the HKs can regen
But you need at least Shallows to travel through it however
"immortality" as in regeneration
Sugar was basically a big walking reference to Imu, Doffy really wanted to be like him lmao
Yea regen is 2 and eternal youth is 3
Which shows how much Imu is playing favorites with Gunko
i hope we get to know the 13 who knows about Imu
Level 1 can just travel with the portals but can’t create
Level 2 can create + travel + regen + mind controlled by Imu
Level 3 same as before + agelessness. Probably able to be a vessel for Imu
Usopp defeated Sugar. Perhaps JOYBOY has a crew mate named LONG NOSE that will give Imu sama PTSD
blue hair privilege
I still think the not aging is from the Ope Ope, i doubt Oda makes that a thing & doesn't follow up on it
Only two people has Imu completely taken over and that’s Gunko and Saturn
Sugar is the closest to Imu in terms of a antagonist with just straight hax
Even kinda talks like Imu
Have a crazy theory that Gunko is related to Imu somehow, which is why she gets privilages

Except the cringe third person
Damn bro I didn't even recognise you with all that makeup at first
pretty overpowered if it can be shared by the individual who got it
You would think but the way Saturn died really implies it was all imu
Dressrosa is basically all foreshadowing to how the WG operates
Maybe. Its possible.
The way the HK spoke about Gunko makes it seem like she is really a Pet
I think imu had the ope ope surgery, the rest are just borrowing some of imu's infinite lifespan
The steam does a lot I don’t really like it too much
He did rapidly age but the black flames came that were choking him, that later cause an explosion, could be part of what caused his death too
she’s a favorite pet
they couldnt kill these soldiers
Is Saturn Latino? Since he has Garcia in his name
LMAOOO
Well i think Imu revoked the contract & any damage that was sustained during the period being under contract all came back at once & thats why Saturn just like burned up
it feels like Imu is more or less primordial
There is precedent to Zoan fruits taking over the user's will.
Maybe that happened to Imu
it doesn't feel like a fruit at all to me
It feels like Imu stole power more than always being this way
Yea it seems like more than just a fruit ability
But whatever it is we know it can be countered with Haki
I think Imu just took a pre existing power
i think that Nerona Imu is possessed, somehow
imu’s gotta be a reference to akira
Perhaps
I dont think imu has a fruit power. he just found the grimoire and abuses it
I think he stole from Davy specifically
and presumably Nika as well as the second fruit
The fact that Imus powers can be negated with Haki implies that it is all fruit based.
imu is the sea
luffy is the sun
sorry imu is earth
If Knot Piece hadn't happened I would assume Imu is something more but ngl i think this is all a DF ability of some overpowered Mythical Zoan based on a God
imu wants the universe to be geocentric
however the truth is our solar system is helio centric
It’s probably a bit of both? Like the flames and explosion come about the contract being terminated and the agelessness going away made him turn to nothing but bones afterwards
I feel like Imu's been around way long than Davy was
back then people though sun was rotating earth. the truth is backwards
I noticed that too.
Old world thought the universe revolved around the Earth
If he stole Davy's power I'm gonna vomit
Likely did
Possibly. Started off with good intention but was slowly corrupted by the fruit until he was totally taken over.
You hate anyone that isnt WG
Eliminate the Davy clan, Imu was right
Davy was just some clown who sat on the throne for a few minutes, thats all
It's why I think his mark is made of Earth, Sea and (hell or sky, I'm deciding on that)
oh yeah, yall stay on that side
So Stelly
yeah
Davy was just a jolly old man
Its possible and has more weight than that Klabautterman theory
Boy fuck you
I think Rocks knew some things, but he obviously had holes. I think he heard "king of the world"and ran with it, not knowing what that title really means
Nerona Imu was a founding king. They both date back to VC
The name "Nerona Imu" does, but the entity that is Imu is older. I think that name was just his human alias
Rocks couldn't truly be Davy reincarnated because he has teeth
not reincarnate, just descendants
More irrefutable proof that BB is the true heir
Could be but I’m not convinced
Everything we see about imu makes sense if he’s a spoiled kid from 800 years ago, he doesn’t have to be some primordial
I think this is really reincarnation
Unfortunately he won’t
Its funny how rocks and his wife have colorful hair, but bb has pitch black hair
his design is perfect already
Even as a child
BB Kraken DF theory upscale
Could bb be adopted?
Cut ts out
What
no pls
Blackbeard wouldn’t be Blackbeard if his beard wasnt black
"WhAt"
Rich explain what you mean like a normal person please
"Keep the silly little guy design"
Dont pmo
Ehh i think itd be funny if blackbeard didnt have black hair... whitebeard doesnt have a beard but he still has white hair...
Changes are on the way, it was a low effort little guy design revealed not even in the manga but a sbs. Davy Jones is getting a redesign 🥲
what's a silly little guy design?
This is a fighting Shonen manga
i meant the pieates of caribbean design is perfect
This
Imagine Kaido pre ts design rn
I can see the same design still translate to cool though
Im talking about op davy jones
Gaimon
that one is great, yeah
feels really one piece if that makes sense
pre ts shichibukai design is my favorite
Yeah
you dont have to change it
That’s why BB is Davy bc no teeth
Cap
I have seen some fanart, where he looks super cool
Did you guys see that stupid ass sandman post?
surely you have seen it too as a Xebec fan
No?
"Silly design"
Show me
The empty throne thingy?
I definitely saw it but I already forgot what it is
Yea
Lol
Cause I haven't seen it at all
Oh yeah
he looks incredible here
And its all 7 mihawks
That one
I knew it was some stupid shit but I forgot exactly what it was about
i prefer the empty throne, simply because i am used to it
“Viz translated it wrong” when the jp raws has it in english as the empty throne lmfao
Bro it says empty throne right there
Make him like 3 feet taller and I'll allow it
Keep him a short king
???
You just hate short people
This mf was rivals with Imu and Joyboy
I mean fanart could make Caribou look cool that doesnt mean much
Yea idfk what he was on lol
Nah Luffy is supposed to be the shortest mf in the fight thats the point
So he gotta be at least taller than that
he can be short and still rival Joyboy and Imu to be honest
Just yapping
When has it not been called the empty throne?
= make his legs 3 feet taller and the other proportions the same
I genuinely am confused, what about his design in the SBS was giving short to you
I see him repost the same quotes over and over
Luffy is never going to fight Davy Jones
like its just his upper body, he could be any height
Never
He's literally built like old Hyogoro
luffy IS davy jones
Also hes old, people shrink with age
It’s from what sandman posted that viz translated it wrong but it’s .. what Oda used lol #also-manga message
what’s the issue. This is the Hyogoro treatment again
Mirrors and shit
If Joyboy fought him and Joyboy was average height why would his rival be a short powerless greedy fucker
eh Oda could too, theres a lot of OP designs that wouldnt necessarily work if he wasnt trying to make them cool
His short ass arm doesnt help either, you can tell he's short
true yeah
The sbs design is just a chibi version lol
Its like saying gaban looks goofy
Assuming the design is kept, his size will get upscaled
To be fair, the graphic would have been from the editorial team, so maybe they made the choice 🤷♂️
assuming that just because Davy Jones was short means he would be powerless, is a bit weird
But there’s no reason to not use empty throne
Lokis belt looks like the face in the silhouette
It’s right there
If you are allowed to think Joyboy looks like Shanks of all people I am allowed to wish for a Davy Jones who isnt legally a midget
Void throne actually sounds dumb. It's like the throne got voided somehow. Like the throne itself doesn't exist
And void makes it sound like it was vacated, like there was once someone sitting there but now it’s void
It’s the wrong nuance
Short = no aura
i disagree
lol we think alike
Unless you're trying to convince me that Davy was a Tontatta
That would be awesome
I disagree too
Davy if he was good...
No tf it wouldn't😭
Void throne makes no sense given its supposed purpose, empty throne makes far more sense
I think it would be interesting….if Davy was a tontatta
Gaimon isnt really short, he compressed himself into the chest, in his backstory we see hes average height
Holy tonatta upscale
Goddammit
I should've never said ts
I think Oda is going to make Davy look like that for sure, I have no doubt
some of the tontatta have the most peak character designs
thats his design, its not changing
It is
Not only do you hate short people but you're racist against Tontattas? Wow
Tell that to Kaido and Loki's silhouettes
Boy go on somewhere with that bs
Would bet a milly that its changing
😭
Saldeath has no business being this cool looking
Oda had made up his mind back, I think he wanted to introduce Davy all along, that was him officially introducing his design
pappug got swag
This a real short king
Isn't bro Canonically the shortest in all of OP
First tuff looking tontatta
He wouldnt draw him if he didnt
pappug?
he’s the man
bro is fashion
Yea i thought he was shorter than even the Tontattas
So its Tontattas and then Pappug
he is more Chopper sized, but yeah
i mean tontatta is basically fairy so
I think Davy was a Buccaneer
too bad the buccaneer theory was just mistranslation
World's first short buccaneer
Yea i remember them stealing shit
you people are simply unable to see the vision
It was made more of a possibility in the official what do you mean
why is WB not a buccaneer with that jaw
THE KING OF THE WORLD
Nah its not based on that GV panel its the fact that most Buccaneers are shown to be a certain way and if BB and Rocks were descendants of Davy they all match the Buccaneers descriptions
in GV chapter it was just a callout from random CD
Teach’s Zehaha, Xebec is Vohaha, & Jones will be ???haha
i wonder if Blackbeard will have gotten his durag from Davy Jones, maybe as a heirloom
Imu so pissed about joyboy and davy he's still beefing 800 years later
Taller than a human but not as tall as a Giant
Hella durable
A little splash of melanin
And BOOM you got a Buccaneer
They must have been shoving bro into lockers all thru high-school
That doesn’t matter. It’s the fact that the connection is being made and they drew attention to it by making it in bold.
It’s also just Shiryru’s speculation that the hinokizu is a gov operative, but thats as good as a confirmation from Oda
In Clapps defense he may have been more durable if he wasnt getting beaten half to death every day as a slave
He's a malnourished slave
That too
Plus Kuma clearly got more of the blood.
Most definitely
i still think that Whitebeard is a buccaneer
The 4C hair too
In the end I won't cry when teach packs some celestials
he has buccaneer jaw
Whitebeard is the only possible Buccaneer who seems to be completely devoid of melanin
I think so. It could come up with weevil
same jaw
Oda would keep this if hes sane
But even then in his early coloring WB did have a slight tan to him but it was taken away when they figured out he would be an ally and not an antagonist
Davy will be a Rocks clone sadly
Joyboy and Davy Jones eating cherry pies together
i think he'll be more of a Blackbeard clone to be honest
You mean Rocks is a Davy clone
He's going to look like his SBS self and it's going to be incredible
I dont have any narcan dont od
is joyboy lufy clone
Davy jones likely to be closer to teach is my guess
Shanks clone
Shanks and Luffy mixed into one
His VA is the OG Luffy from the OVA
I’m sad the original VA for Blackbeard in the English dub passed away years ago
Og teach passing away sucks
I say this about the Imu design theory too, I think he's going to look like the Vearth statue but the statue is going to be like a chibified version of him
= shamrock
!nevercook
Those designs were all decided a long time ago
what about the face that Enel has plastered on his Ark Maxim?
I doubt that
Vearth actually is a deification of the Earth itself, that was what the statue represented
it was modeled after this guy
If Imu is the Earth God then the idea of him looking like the Vearth statue is quite likely
i think the face which the Ark Maxim has, is also inspired by the Vearth statue to be honest
Those goats were so creepy
Rich what is your problem
nami clone sorry
I don't think spamming images and gifs is the right way to exist in a discussion
You can just say "I disagree"
Its over Buffy
I'd rather let you know that im laughing
imu looking like that goofy skypeia statue will end me
Saying "I disagree" implies that I take any of this seriously
The statue is a statue, you know nobody in the mural is gonna look like that in real life
Its the same thing there
The statue of Vearth is modelled after Imu, its not what Imu exactly looks like
Thats the whole idea
That's not Tom hiddleston
Tom Hiddleston???
You're gonna love it, I think there's an awesome design to be made out of that statue
someone post that damn image
Tom Hiddleston will be Loki in live action
Just think of the statue as a chibified Imu
there is fan art of imu being that statue
Imu is gonna be one ugly bastard then
You're not getting hot woman Imu, you're not getting Lili Imu
Drop worthy
Missed opportunity to cast Chris Pratt.
We ARE getting Lili Imu tho
You're getting alien-esque, demon-esque, weird little creature-esque Imu
he'll be Hajrudin
Lily was killed by Davy Jones actually
I want imu to be lili
So luffy can punch 2 nefertari women
Is there any real reason behind this beyond that image there of them both having a rounded shape and people trying to tie existing things together
Plus it makes no sense if Imu is staring at a portrait of themselves
What if Davy Jones has even more hype moments and aura than Rocks
if imu looks like that, it just makes the "i desire vivi" look so much worse. Imu will never escape the incel allegations
I swear on my immortal everlasting soul and the souls of my unborn children that I will stop reading if this happens
maybe, not more than Joyboy though
He will, but I'll be prepared this time
Imu is “the world” and the vearth statue is also called something like that
I think we stretching. It's not impossible but ehhh
I explained it above
What if Joyboy also is the same way so you have two characters with more hype and aura than Rocks in the same flashback
What will you do penny
I will never look at a OP panel or watch an episode ever again if we get that Imu
If Imu looks like that, they better be an alien or an actual demon. i want no human blood in them at that point
Vearth is the deification of the Earth itself, the statue represents that idea
After Rocks I'm ready for Davy to be the wholesomest reddit chungus nice guy to ever live
Can you survive a flashback like that?
If Imu is the Earth God, then he is Vearth
i need to see Oda's notes
it'll be a sad day when Joyboy slander start showing up
Same thing really, it's to be expected of Joyboy
He's gonna be like Shanks and Rocks combined and on steroids
If Imu looks like that im dropping ts
If he's like Shanks I might genuinely crash out so hard I get muted
If Joyboy looks like Shanks on god yall gon have to ban me
Imu is described as the World, the Gorosei are all the planets of the Geocentric model of the Solar System, where the Earth is at its centre. The pieces are all clearly there for him to be the Earth God.
I hate it
Imu can be chopped idrc
BUT IF JOYBOY LOOKS LIKE SHANKS???
If the Vearth Statue is the Earth as God, then Imu is Vearth. Its that simple
Since this flashback will be damn near 20 chapters, the void century flashback will be a full year of flashback, which will probably be pretty bad but Idk, at least I don't think their characters will be as bad as Rocks
It wouldn’t make any sense
None at all
i mean Shanks already is very special, i wouldn't be surprised if he is direct descendant of Joyboy at this point
Not a modicum
Not a crumb
Not a grain of sense
Nah
If he looks like Shanks acts like Shanks and has zero flaws like Shanks it's over
Even if he his joyboys’s descendant it still doesn’t makes sense
And again, its a statue, we are going to see that Imu will look similar but not the same
Another Mary Sue
We dont need another shanks I can barely handle the one we have
He's gonna be another character who was a mary sue for their entire existence but they died so you can't call him one
I'd rather Joyboy look like Gaimon than Shanks
Even rocks death hasn’t subsided penny’s rage
Shanks dying might subside my rage
It's because we're talking about him
No one matches that description
Rocks is pretty close
Nah
Shanks is like a definitive Mary sue, rocks isn’t
joyboy is kokoro's parallel
Facts
Shanks and Xebec are the most loved and the most hated characters at the same time
How are they different
it's literally a 50% split of who loves and hates them, lol
Rocks failed/died. He didn't even save his family really, kuma did
Well Rocks is ugly and stabbed a child so he cant really be a mary sue
But these last chapters have been pretty great, my rage has subsided
Rocks was not a Mary Sue at all he didnt get any motion until he was grown man and if we're being honest I dont think he was smart enough to come up with this plan anyway
i mean, Shanks got scarred and lost an arm
Is this spotify wrapped for discord emotes?
Oda thinks stabbing children is awesome and based though
When Rock shows up in Harald's flashback next chapter tho?
So is it really a flaw
Not emotes specifically
Rocks goes through several great failures and great defeats, he fails throughout the entire flashback, he fails to convince Harald, he goes to Mariejois and his plan to kidnap the hostages and use it against Imu not only fails but Imu basically bitches him back home. And then when he fights Imu again he gets bitched again, turned into a monster in his own home town and then dies
Rocks is not a Mary Sue idk where you got that take from
He’s far from perfect
I mean the scar was from the future final villain of the series and he probably lost his arm on purpose at this point so like
Shanks is closer to being a Mary Sue than Rocks was
it should still count
otherwise it's just cherry picking
lol
"You were the chosen child" allat shit screams Mary Sue
Shanks damn near lost his left eye to pre-fruit Blackbeard and his left arm to the weakest sea king in the East Blue. Do these not count as Ls
Man's has posted this at least twice today
He's a failed chosen one though
And I swear you were posting it yesterday too
I love it lol
I don’t care that shanks lost an arm because not only did he possibly lose it on purpose it somehow didn’t make him any weaker losing his sword arm, it only benefitted him and he actually got stronger from it.
