I am hyped about this particular event because Oda tells the reader to be hyped about it, its a Skypiea, Enies Lobby, Marineford, Dressrosa, Onigashima type of event that people of that generation dont dare to speak about or was crucial in their career and Oda is dedicating chapters telling it. It has to be told in a flashback because those characters arent alive anymore obviously, especially Roger and Rocks can only exist via flashbacks because they died before the story began so flashbacks are their prime time.

I know Oda doesnt show every fight in full length and sacrifices some screentime of the fights, but depending on the arc theres still always a solid 10-30 chapters portion (or more like 70 in Wano) where the characters just fight.

I dont really remember what flashback explicitly skipped drawn out fights in general, other than Roger vs Whitebeard in the Oden flashback but thats cuz they just fought for fun. We saw them clash to have the "yo the two strongest pirates ever clashed" but otherwise the event itself wasnt built up to and just for shits and giggles. Compare it to Kaido vs Big Mom, that also got skipped and was during the present. So I dont see the "its a flashback" argument as the end all be all.

I agree fights dont happen as much during flashbacks, its due to their nature like, they want to show why Law losing Corazon is sad and not "yooo the raid on minion island was crazyyy literally everyone was there Doffy Law Corazon Roger Garp Whitebeard Lebron my grandma and they were all fighting and Shanks was found here as a baby" but if you apply this to God Valley, it does seem more like the way Oda was talking about it doesnt it?

No im not saying fuck structure lets have fights. I am saying why not both? Why would a story automatically be incohesive with fights? If its not about length what damage could showing the fighting in a flashback cause? But before you answer, consider that this is shaping up to be a 20 chapters flashback, the longest so far. And it already has the most fighting out of any flashback. See Oda agrees with me that God Valley needs some fighting even if it is within a flashback. I am already right. But do you find it incohesive?

Even before this flashback started I used to say "the longest flashbacks in the series will be Oden, topped by God Valley, topped by Void Century" and even if I didnt expect God Valley to be within the Loki flashback, we always knew, if Oda starts to tell about God Valley, sit down and listen because we are gonna be here for a while. And that became true, because what other flashback spent 7 chapters for one specific event? All the other flashbacks except the Oden one are that long. You talk about cohesive but Oda still inserted this flashback in another characters flashback in the middle of Imus raid on Elbaf, people are already tired of it and want to see other stuff, just like during the Oden flashback or how theyll be during the Void Century flashback, but Oda wont care and spend 30 chapters on it if he has to, and I hope he does, and I for sure also dont want him to skip Joyboy vs Imu.

This is all also probably why things like “rocky port incident” are never shown to us either and just told over time , tho I bet we will still get rocky port through Blackbeard’s flashback and that will ALSO not have full fights I’m sure I’m not saying either that it would be Incohesive automatically , but in oda’s long form story telling structure , it would draw out arcs much more than they need to be I’m sure, this flashback has not shown full fights tho , so does Oda really agree with you? I think there is something to the idea of smoke blocking the sun and Smoker as "White Chase Smoker," having the ambition to take out the sun/the in-series embodiment of freedom, that's draped in white.
