It's very possible yeah, I still entertain the possibility of it, and you can still argue that it doesn't hurt the idea of Kaido's strength isolating him compared to Luffy always having people to help him, because Luffy needed all that help he got before he could even get to the level of being able to surpass Kaido in the first place
