We have no idea what motivates his desire to be the king of the world, what he wants to be doing when he is one and what kind of a world he wants to make. We can't even be sure of his morality, is it gonna be a good world? We can't be sure of his actions, he's ruthless but is he really? We can't be sure of why he is doing any of this or what to make of it. He's hollow until we get any idea and most people project a certain character onto him to fill in the gaps lol. The only certain thing about him is his love for his family and its not able to do all the heavy lifting for me at all.

Him remaining hollow in the most crucial event, the finale of his life feels like a poor choice and I hope Oda's gonna soon fix that by filling in the gaps in the coming chapters. Rocks is the man marked by flames. He was DR'd by Imu and survived Imu's flames that killed Saturn. He's been in hiding ever since and took the 4th road poneglyph. He will go to Laugh Tale with the Straw Hats. Imu took everything from him - his love, Eris, his strong body, but not his will.

He lives, without strength, for one goal only.
