Ngl I'm tired of talking about this. But to make it short, he's barely a character outside of hype moments and aura, his portrayal is weird and cowardly. Yeah yeah, the point is he's not AS bad as we were led to believe, but it gets a little ridiculous when even the charity he's stealing from turns out to be a fraud. Feels like a parody almost. And I think he makes Blackbeard worse as a character if he's doing what he's doing because of his father, which seems to be the case.

If WG prohibited mention of Rocks in any form and erased all of the depictions - it makes a lot of sense. He’s not really erased from history whatsoever. Hina, a younger marine, knew about it. Garp even alludes to the fact that only old guys like him would remember. Distant islanders might hear their names time from time but they don’t really meet them or care in general as long as it doesn’t concern them directly.
Unlike Roger who had a public execution and became the most notorious figure in history.
