As to how that works out time wise just ask Oda . As for why it took them 2 years you missed it cause they made it clear the SHs weren’t strong enough to survive in the New World, thus Luffy went with Rayleigh and Jimbei to MF to get that message out to the SHs that instead of reuniting at Sabaody in 3 days like Luffy said while they were all running away to come back in 2 years to get stronger||
