Too me, I don't like their pacing. In the main anime everything can feel more dramatic and the susence build up is much better when its done slower

One Pace goal is too make the anime like the manga though, so they skip some filler parts in a episode. Too me some filler stuff the anime added makes it better

Chapter 51 ||I’m re reading the whole series, and man, this chapter is always a blast to read. And this right here has gotta be one of my favorite moments in the entire series (this whole fight, really). Zoro’s conviction is so expertly established and you can really feel not just the desperation of the situation, but the sheer gap of strength between Zoro and Mihawk here. Mihawk’s line a little before this (“I don’t hunt rabbits with a cannon”) always gives me chills, too. Baratie really is a brilliant arc.||

Chapter 51 ||Oda is by no means the greatest when it comes to making fights, or even one of the best. What he’s truly great at is creating tension and stakes, and I think he really exceeds at ending fights, as well. Even if the process of most of the fights aren’t the most memorable, the lasting impact, like the fight here in this chapter, makes the reader remember it far after they’re done reading the fight.||
