ep 129 ||No because this whole arc (Alabasta) was magnificent... I loved Arlong Park, but that was only due to the fact I had a connection with the character Nami. First time I felt for a character without siding to my own trauma. Entirely new feeling. Usually I have to relate to the character in some way to cry. But this time, it was purely with the characters thoughts. It was a journey itself and going with the character.
Creating their own story, it wasn't my story and theirs. It was their own. The fight with crocodile was immaculate. Luffy had failed so many times, it was a constant spar between the characters. But finally. I gasped and threw my hands in the air as I was sobbing. I was right there with the characters. I would rate it pretty much 9/10 within the range of emotional connection. Sorry for the rant. It was truly worth the journey in the end, and I do regret saying that I hated One Piece solely that it was mainstream. Arlong was a 8/10 for me.||
