Ep 247 ||I definitely understand the point of him being so attached to it and refusing to let it go but it feels so detached from everything else. I'm sure its better in the manga with the pacing but a full 20 minutes of Usopp just complaining and crying while leaving the rest of the strawhats on a cliffhanger just makes me want him to get over it. Ep 247, ||I definitely feel sentimental towards the Merry, especially the myth of the ship fairy being true. I thought Franky would offer to dismantle it and use the parts still in tact to build or repair other ships so the Merry would still live on in a way but I just don't know what's gonna happen now. People definitely think irrationally when they're upset like Usopp right now but at the same time he's willing to possibly die to stay with the ship disregarding everyone else's feelings or care for him. It really feels like it wants me to care for Usopp, which I do. But aside from that it was surprisingly great. The best episodes so far are the ones that are flashbacks, but this one didn't do that. (And the Zoro one with Mihawk)
I think my favorite scene in the show so far has come from this episode, where Luffy says "I won't die here" and that music starts. So good ||
