What really? I was reading they didn't
Wtf?
What are people talking about then
All pro maybe?
Deebo, Bosa, Williams, Juszcyk, and Kittle all got PB nods this year
Might have been All Pro
I'll check
Yeah thats what it is
People are pissed that Maxx Crosby got it over him
Which is probably fair, lol
Yeah Bosa probably should've gotten it over him but credit where credit is due, Crosby was a beast this season
Was ranked as the 2nd best edge rusher all season by PFF for however much weight you want to give those analytics things
Is that Juszcyk guy decent
Or DE I mean
He's very versatile
He's SF's fullback
So he's a damn good blocker but I've seen him flash his hands and his speed when Shanahan gets him the ball
Honestly he probably could be a starting TE if he wanted to make that kind of switch
They'd have to run two tight ends then bc no way he gets it over Kittle
If that's even possible
Yeah Kittle is an animal
Happy he's healthy again
He's a fun player to watch
Now I haven't watched a ton of 49ers games this year but based on reputation one guy on that team who I think could be viewed as being shafted out of recognition this season is probably Fred Warner
That dude is a beast
Personally I'm little surprised he got no love but then a guy like Micah Parsons gets 1st team all pro and a pro bowl nod as a rookie
Mind you he's had a fantastic season
But he's a pass rusher, not a coverage LB
I'm almost 99% certain they've primarily used as a DE and that he was graded poorly in pass coverage
So from that perspective I personally wouldn't give him props as a linebacker
But š¤·āāļø
I think I understand what you mean
Basically he got nominated for that position even though he wasn't really deployed in that position despite technically having that position as his normal position?
Yeah
Happens all the time in footy too
you a Dallas fan ?
It's a frustrating technicality that I feel kinda robs certain players out of recognition that they probably deserve
I'm a Bucs fan, he's a 49ers fan
Ohhh
Hbu harshen?
Ik you are a bucs fan š¤
I just watch games for fun tbh
But hey Iām from Tampa too
A friend of mine who's a niners fan convinced me to be a fan of them and gave me alot of insight into the sport + my brother and his husband live in SF and I love the city
So figured may as well
Can we agree though that Zeke fell off hard ?
Also I like historic teams like that
I second this
I think he's just had a poor season, if I had to guess, but I know dick about the sport so
He just hasn't looked the same to me since he got paid
Despite the silly mistake tonight I think dak, so far, is living up to that paycheck
Same thing happened with Jaylon Smith for them but just not as dramatically, since he got cut and all
Yeah Dak is solid
What's gonna be interesting to see though is how will Dallas try and build around him since he's eating up a fair bit of their cap space each year
Big money like that makes it harder to do
Canāt wait for skip bayless reaction tomorrow LMFAOO
Ugh skip bayless
He's a pro blowhard
Don't take anything he says too seriously, he gets paid to give hot takes
See I like when old pros commentate/give like, their takes on shit
Otherwise you get a room full of Piers Morgans
No like he gonna be crying LOL itās just funny
Is he a cowboys fan?
HUGE
Oh Christ
Guaranteed
"the rule needs to be rewritten"
"these refs shouldn't officiate another game"

I kid you not, he will spend entire shows or majority of shows doing multiple segments and discussions about the Cowboys
I liked the new playoffs though
Completely will ignore the fact prior to the 4th and inches that became a...what, 4th and 11?
They had the ball skimming going over the line
And then decided it was a solid 7 inches begins the line
New playoffs?
Cause they added 7 seeds I think last year?
It used to just be 6 teams from each conference got into the playoffs in the NFL, now it's 7 from each
So the format for the playoffs got changed
Does that make for a longer playoffs
So wild card weekend went from 4 games to 6 games
Not really no
Just makes the wild card round slightly bigger than it previously was
So it used to be 4 games this week, 4 games next week, 2 games the week after, and then the Super Bowl 2 weeks after those
Now it's 6 games this week, 4 next, 2 after that, then the Super Bowl 2 weeks after
Yeah
Old format gaves the teams that finished with the best and 2nd best records in each conference a bye in the wild card round
Since they added 7 seeds though now the 2 seeds have to play in the wild card round and only the 1 seeds get the bye
Figures, that makes sense
Sorry if I worded that poorly
Yup
A team finishing second in the division really shouldn't be having the same privileges as a team finishing first anyways
Way i see it
Conference not division, but yeah
Oh right, that
I think the logic the NFL was going for when they decided to make a bye week for the teams that finished with the best records was "well these guys are clearly great, let's try and make it as easy as possible for them to get to the super bowl"
And you guys will play the winner of ARI-LAR
Yeah
I kind of view it as picking our poison though, cause it's either go up against a Rams team that kicked their asses early in the season again or go up against a Cardinals teams that probably will be getting DeAndre Hopkins and potentially JJ Watt back
This on top of arguably our best offensive lineman in Tristan Wirfs getting a high ankle sprain in the game yesterday and obviously being down Chris Godwin who is our 2nd best WR cause he tore his ACL like a month ago in the regular season
So tough sledding
I honestly can't pick
They're both really good teams
Maybe the Rams cause Stafford has been turning the ball over a lot lately?
But McVay is such a good offensive mind that I wouldn't shocked if he drew up play after play to let Stafford dice up our defense again
Either way you feel nervous
Yeah
Honestly I'm just hoping for an entertaining game where both sides leave healthy
I have 0 expectations that Tampa is gonna be able to repeat this year
If I'm being perfectly honest I'd say Green Bay looks like the best team in the game rn, and they're my pick to run the table
So I'm really just taking it week to week
Little bummed there is only 4 weeks left of NFL football and then none until August but that's just life
At least that dark period can force me to try and get more interested in other sports
Try being the operative word
Yeah, it was nice to beat the cowboys but
Packers will most likely advance
Though we did have a good and close game against them earlier this season
I'd love to see the 49ers advance for your and Juba's sakes and potentially run the table
I hope everyone in this server who is an NFL fan gets to experience what Shadow and I did last year, or what Sab did in 2018 at least once
It was a great feeling
If you decide to give your attention to footy or NHL in the off-season I'd be more than happy to explain stuff, you've been very helpful in my understanding of the sport
Bangels it is
Just took another 50 for the 2nd one
Mark Sanchez
LMFAO I JUST SAW THAT TOO
Sometimes I forget they made back to back AFCCG
@PaulHembo Updated it based on the replies in here
Playoff wins in last 25 seasons:
Joe Flacco (10)
Jacksonville Jaguars (7)
Jake Delhomme (5)
Trent Dilfer (5)
Nick Foles (4)
Houston Texans (4)
Mark Sanchez (4)
Brad Johnson (4)
Colin Kaepernick (4)
Dallas Cowboys (3)
Joe Flacco was actually good... for a lil while lol
Especially on that Super Bowl run
yeah i remember watching it that the whole timeline was pretty wonk
Ehhh not for me. the leafs fans have only had that mindset recently to be fair. Cowboy fans are always like that
If anything Iād put Yankee fans closer to the boys than the leafs fans
27 Rings brooo gonna make it 28 this year !!!
didn't realize its a holiday in america until now
no wonder there are games on at 3pm
people are enjoying sabres red wings for their holiday
Yeah, Martin Luther King day
just a regular day for me
Now I'm happy

no mbappe
how is salah in the top 3 finalist but not in the team xi
kinda odd
think something similar happened with the ballon d or one
lewa deserved that so congrats to him, 2nd one he's won now.
I swear the team xi is always random
alexia won the best female player
but she wasn't even in the womens team xi
it's odd
sickening
old copypasta
Lance time baby
More so than rage itās just disappointment for me
Like yeah seeing any kind of that stuff pisses me off and makes me sick but for people to take a game that seriously is just depressing
exactly
like theyāre not even getting mad at the player
which is still ridiculous
but theyāre going after his family????? what????
imagine not getting used to losing after 25 seasons of this
Delusional fanbase
Wow Timo Meier going off
Timo Meier, first San Jose Shark in history to score 5 goals in a game
Mike Mayock is out as the Raidersā general manager, per the team.

Would love if he comes back to NFLN
Miss his presence on draft segments
2020 first round aged poorly
he's made some good picks though
crosby and renfrow are big contributors to the team
I'll forever be grateful that Gruden and Mike Mayock passed on Devin White for Ferrell in 2019.
Every GM will hit and miss, part of the job
Timo Meier has 5 goals tonight. The top scoring Montreal Canadien all season is Josh Anderson at 7 goals
He doesn't have a good track record with his first round picks. Jacobs aside. And that's a big problem. But at the same time, you can't tell me Mayock had as much power as Gruden did in drafting. He clearly had a lot of power too.
wouldn't be a job if it was easy to predict who would be good / the better player after a few years
You know more than me
#Cardinals RB James Conner is active for tonightās game vs. the #Rams.
Mike Mayock got talked into taking Clelin Ferrell by Gruden. I heard Mayock wanted Devin White.

@dim kettle oh my
right as you spoke of it lol
Man passed up Aaron Rodgers for Cadillac Williams at #5
Also passed on Adrian Peterson for Gaines Adams.
That's right. He got killed right after being traded to the Bears like 2 years later. RIP
Nah he didnāt get killed, he had an undiscovered heart condition and died of a heart attack
Yeah McNair got killed by his GF
The Habs have 7 wins in 37 games played
Remember when a lot of us here thought the Habs had a chance to make the playoffs? Injury gods were like, āHa, thatās some funny shit.ā
the habs have won less than 20% of their games so far
they lost 5-2 to the coyotes
also due to pretty much everyone on their roster that is expected to play well or at least decent underperforming
and bad contracts
Their team basically imploded
another franchise that just has a very tough time drafting
there has to be a tank bowl? game? trophy
The Right to Wright
Lol
Shane Wright has 30 points in 24 games this year for Kingston. Connor Bedard is a year younger and has 31 in 26.
Few NHL teams are 100% going to tank next season
Fully expecting to see 2015, Buffalo Sabres level tank jobs next season lmao between Bedard and Michkov
the coyotes will tank because they are the coyotes
I hate them dude
I lost so much respect for them. Only like the look at this point. Theyāre useless and have zero ambition to be good. Iād argue the only franchise in North America that is like that, maybe the Pittsburgh Pirates
Shit is tight
Iām glad Nikola Vucevic can be on a real team
Historically which is the most successful of them?
Feel like itās gotta be between Buffalo and Minny
What with them both having been to 4 SBs and all
prob Vikings
falcons wouldāve had 1 except they choked š
OBJ TD
and we thank them for that
Yeahā¦itās gonna be Tampa vs the Rams again
The Lions if you want to count their 4 titles before the merger
LOL
Lol, Kyler channeled his inner Jameis there
PICK SIX
About to say. PTSD there.

Man what is with this WC round and blowouts?
Kyler eating that W.
21-0 before the half
Better hope it ends like 2019.
Bruh Arizona have -1 total yards
Connerās in the game now
Doesn't help that Kyler struggles with adversity and his size plays a big factor in how his ball is thrown.
Wow
That shouldāve been a pick but it came out of the DBās hands and went back to the Cards player
Kyler can't dart the ball like other QBs. He has to float the ball when he throws or else someone like Donald would just bat it down.
Lol
So glad we picked up Von Miller
Lol
I wonder what Monster is thinking rn?
What is this game
Gonna finish the week 4-2
Idc. Ram time
Miscommunication there
Kyler really looking like Famous Jameis rn.
First playoff game going terribly
Fucking Whitworth
Cards D gets a stop
You know. The Rams have multiple score lead in the first half against a NFC West rival. Why does this sound familiar?
Rams DB hurt
Kyler Murray is playing like he's going to sign a contract with the Oakland A's after this game.
Cardinals doing about as well on offense as the Steelers
Man the 2021 cardinals might be the 2020 Steelers of this year
At least the Steelers were able to get a TD at some point
Doesnāt look likely for the Rams rn
Kliff is going to get fired
How does a coach repeatedly implode or do worse after the first 7 games
Should after this performance
Gotta bring in someone to build up that defense
And protect Kyler with a O-line
Have the Cards drafted a decent O-lineman of any position in the past 3 years?
same i went all in on the rams
they arenāt protecting kyler like, AT ALL itās sad to watch tbh
Which is a shame because heās really talented
Great trick play
Stafford to OBJ to Akers

What a catch by Kupp
TD Rams
kyler living up to the ad
Man the Cards šµāš«
cards really going to get blown out the most
Kupp must have coated his hands with stickum.
This is pretty embarrassing
crazy that the first game was the best game
besides maybe 49ers - cowboys
pretty eh postseason so far
And yeah, I think Kingsbury is getting fired
Kingsbury looking funny in the light
This embarrassing
The only thing the Cards are winning today is having a better logo than the Rams.
Letās see, after this week every wildcard except the 49ers will have been knocked out
49ers going to the superbowl
Jimmy G is going to get stickum for all of the recievers

*not playing
can't be called playing if the team can't play basketball
You mean, NINERS GAHNTA SUPER BOWL!!!!!!
of course
ā¦Why are you running a draw on 3rd and 8?
Of course the Niners are going to the SB...
They'll be buying tickets to go.
mccarthy went to arizona to call plays
hey if they can somehow eliminate the packers i'll take it
That throw was ugly.
Ooh fight
They're trying to establish a run game down by 28 in the 3rd quarter. Kiff really trying his hardest to get fired.
sounds like he's been told he's going to be fired if he loses this game
Donald with a PF against him
So... two NFC teams got bye weeks in the WC.
and two afc teams
3 if you count Tampa
huh there were only 2 wild card games
I think he thought I was referring to GB
finally
I thought you were making a joke about these blowouts by referring to the winning sides as having a bye week
The Cards score points.
Cowboysā DC Dan Quinn is scheduled to interview this week for HC jobs with Denver, Minnesota, Miami and Chicago, per source.

NFL teams live in a bubble. I swear.
so teams saw what he did in atlanta in his last season and think yeah i'm going to hire this guy
Jesus
Budda is hurt
Thatās a concussion easy
Your arms donāt stiffen up like that unless you hard reset your brain
Yeah, caught him on the side of his helmet
lakers game starting
damn prayers up to budda baker
Somebody please fire Kliff
This dumbass really even trying to run the ball down 24
Moron

Lol, kicking a field goal
They made Smith so much bigger in that animation than he is irl

That little shit is like 5ā9
NFC Divisional Playoffs:
- Green Bay Packers vs. 6. San Francisco 49ers
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. 4. Los Angeles Rams
AFC Divisional Playoffs:
- Tennessee Titans vs. 4. Cincinnati Bengals
- Kansas City Chiefs vs. 3. Buffalo Bills
@rustic mountain Bengals, Bills, Packers, Buccaneers
@rustic mountain Packers, Rams, Titans, and Bills please
Gotcha
Just so you know, I am in Canada til Friday, so I won't be able to update stuff just yet
Lakers bout to lose this game
Sorry to bother but you might need to pop into catching up
Untagged convos
gotcha
Kyler Murray ass lmfao
Wow very unconventional. Kent Hughes is a player agent. Reps players like Bergeron, Letang, Nurse
Wow lol this is different to say the least
@rustic mountain Packers,Rams, Bengals, Chiefs
So kinda like the hockey equivalent of Kobeās manager becoming GM of the Lakers?
Or Brodie being the GM of the Mets
but like, a tick lower in terms of the players he reps. He really only has 1 star player and 2 above average
Yikes not what Iād want to hear from kyler
Heās still struggling at some of the same things rookie qbs do
Heās also from Montreal so thatās interesting
And damn. Kingsbury and Kyler are becoming masters of imploding
Iād love that but I have no hope/expectation of that happening
More so than a talent issue itās a scheme issue
McVay O>>>>>Bowles D any day
Plus their stud RT Tristan Wirfs might miss the game with a high ankle sprain
@rustic mountain Bucs, Packers, Bengals, Bills
Of course I hope Titans can pull it off but Burrow be cooking
kyler just doesn't feel like a leader
Hearing NHL/NHLPA agreeing on no longer testing asymptomatic players and staff after All-Star. At that point, testing only required for cross-border travel and if a person develops symptoms.
Finally holy shit

should have taken a safety
Famous Jameis would be so proud of that play.
just realized that dak could have just thrown and not spiked the ball
but then he spiked it for no reason
Nuts to me how Tampa is the favorite against LA, did the bettors miss what happened when they met earlier in the year?
Cause the same thing is gonna happen Sunday

nope
and the regular season doesn't always represent the playoffs
the buccaneers got blown out 38-3 by the saints in the regular season and then beat them in the playoffs
Why are the Bucs always facing the Rams in the playoffs? 1979, 1999, now 2021
It's either them or the Eagles.
The Lakers beat the jazz huh
Happens when the defense is just funnel into rudy gobert
beating the cowboys is worth getting smacked by the packers
and seeing jimmy g for another year

Nah man

dang they got packers -6?
he's still had a few throws that should have been picks but weren't
not surprised
49ers are definitely an underdog

Theyāre going into Saturday really banged up
So Iām not too surprised
Jimmy G banged up his shoulder and both Warner and Bosa could be out
The worst part about this whole situation is my neighbors are 49ers fans š

same
and raiders too
@rustic ore when do games in the NFL usually happen? Is there like a live schedule or something?
Like during the regular season or right now during the playoffs?
Right now
1 sec
Just looking up games to see if I can follow them in a very basic sense
Hopefully they're not like very early in the morning or very late at night
So there are 2 games this Saturday and Sunday
Ok, just ping me when you guys are like talking about a game and I'll see if I can look at that and respond by following the game myself
saturday night game might end late depending on timezone
Saturday games are 4:30 PM EST and 8:15 PM EST, Sunday games are 3:00 PM EST and 6:30 PM EST
If I talk with you guys then I can quickly gain more knowledge
So whatever those times would translate for you
i barely know anything lol
I would get all the jargon at least
Iāll do my best to explain anything to you youāre curious about
Of course, all the player names and position tracking is going to be taking some time lmao but we'll get there if there's a chance I can get through to following games with you guys
Baby steps
Depending how much you watch of it, it could take a lot of time to understand everything about the sport.
Yeah, I am a bit busy at the moment so I know it's gonna take some time
Or maybe
I can do this
I'll start off after the Super Bowl whenever that is
When the regular season starts
Think thatās February 13th I want to say?
Correct
September
Ok, that's more time for me to understand the rules of the game better
Oh shit
Ok, February 13 it is
And the preseason starts in August
The preseason is just like exhibition games though
Suggest for what?
When I start following games
All right, see you guys on Super Bowl then
Hopefully we can keep your interest and make you a long term fan
Just don't make the mistake I made when I was 6 and pick the Bucs as your team. We won a SB last year but before 15+ years of pure misery lol
Iād be down, itās like a different version of baseball isnāt it?
Yep
So what it is is a bit more complicated because there are like different formats
Understanding those formats is the tricky part
I watched a couple of cricket games. The problem is, it's the same with Soccer. Just don't have the time to watch multiple sports. I already have a hard time watching basketball consistently
Yeah, the traditional format, which is called test cricket is a five day long affair for the most part
It's a bit boring unless the teams are playing extremely aggressive
It's long and winding
There shorter formats of the game are more entertaining
There are two major short cricket formats, one that last a day, like 5-6 hours, and another that last 3-4 hours
So getting the basics in
2 teams
One field which at the centre or near the centre is the main playing area also called the pitch
So this is how a cricket field looks like, ignore all the other elements and focus on the centre
That yellow area is where all the action happens
A pitch has on either side, three sticks with small connecting wooden stumps called bails on them
A batsman has to defend these otherwise he gets out
He can defend them from the guy throwing the ball, who's called the bowler in an offensive manner or a defensive manner
This is a batsman
Iāve seen that whoever goes up to hit seems to be padded to the Nth degree, does it really have that high a degree of danger to it?
Those are cork balls buc
They at the highest speeds come at 90 miles an hour
And they hit hard
So yes
Ok, coming back to the game rules
While defending themselves from getting out, they need to get runs that they score by running between the wickets
There are always two batsmen on the pitch
So a run means they rotate
If while running between the wickets after hitting the ball, the ball wounds up in a fielders hand and hits the wicket, you're out
For that, there is a wicket keeper, who stays behind the wicket to get balls to get you out
Another way of getting out, hitting the ball and ending up in a fielders arm
Directly, so a catch
Either there or it touches the bat and goes behind, the wicket keeper gets it, you're out
Is it understandable to this point
Looks like I went into an essay
Lmao
Youāre good man, I appreciate it
There's a lot more man lmao
So yeah you get the idea right?
Lot of moving elements here
A good example of a game to watch would be the World Cup final between England New Zealand
Has it all
I don't know if I go further that I'll be spamming or something lol
Or just highlights of it
Yeah that's a perfect game tbh
Feel like you can get a grasp of the game by watching

Really think they should focus more towards an offensive guy instead to develop TLaw, but if he's an actual adult then I suppose that would be a massive improvement from Meyer
Bringing a HC that could change the culture of that franchise should be priority number one. Would help to get an offensive mind though.
TAA is pretty insane and its crazy becuz hes still so young

Yeah it really wasn't a good look for Dak
He was ready
Yeah as everyone was getting off of the field at the end of the game some butthurt fans started chucking like water bottles and what not at the refs as they were running alongside the players into the locker rooms
Initially Dak blasted the fans for doing that when he thought they were throwing things as the Cowboys players but kinda did a 180 when he heard they were actually aiming at the refs
Really bad look for a guy who is supposed to be the face of their franchise
It's just one of those cases where the player needed to take a PC approach and ask people to aim blame at him
He would've been praised by I think everyone for it even though we all know he wasn't the sole reason they lost
I feel like this is gonna be the end for the Dallas Cowboys. Blaming the refs over your stupidity and failure. That's something the Houston Rockets did just a few years ago.
that was a fun time
That was a mistake on my behalf, and I am sorry.

There it is
Yeah that Blues run was ridiculous
I know the winter classic wasnāt really a good game but I would love to see the Blues and Wild have a playoff series. I feel like that would be a real good one
As for the Habs, thereās really nothing to say. We knew they were toast once the series ended. Cole Caufield has been shockingly useless
yea idk what happened to him
Iāve seen him play a lot, heās never looked that rattled
The Rams clearly figured him out. When pressure comes his way, he has problems. And his size makes have to lob the ball which results in a lot of shaky balls.
Yea but why hold on to the ball more than 2 secs in the opposite end zone
Or bullet a pass to your RB 2 feet from you
He folds under pressure.
Those just seem like common things not to do
I mean heās pressured throughout the season and this was his first playoff game (if you meant literally)
I can understand jitters but he was LOST yesterday
I think kliff has to take a lot of blame here
His game plan was weird lol
I think the recipe for stopping Kyler is blitz him and have defenders be in his face. Because he's very limited in that area in terms of throwing the ball.
Literally saw one game in person this szn, rams vs cards. Cards looked effortlessly flawless, so much fluidity
Like, he has legs but that's not always gonna save him.
Yea him being short is actually really working against him
Which he also didnāt utilize like B 2 rushes for 6 yds?
Why not have him read more often and run
Why not abuse kirks speed on rams fourth string safeties
I really donāt understand what kliff was doing lol
Weddle came out of retirement and got away with it in the game
I never really understood why being a little short mattered when being a QB till I saw Kyler. You need to thread the needle in small spots against big ass defenders. And Kyler can't do that. I noticed in the second match up against the Rams where he threw to AJ Green and if this was Brady or Mahome, they'd dart the ball to him, and with the momentum from that bullet pass would get him extra yards. But Kyler can't do that and instead floats it and AJ had to come back to get it and only gain a few yards.
And yeah, the HC at this point should be designing plays with Kyler's size in mind.
This was his 3rd year, and this is suddenly becoming a problem now?
Indeed, #GoBolts dressing just 4 D tonight - Hedman, McDonagh, Sergachev, Foote - as #TBLightning dressing just 16 skaters, this should be just a one game situation that establishes emergency recall situation for the weekend
@dim kettle not sure Iāve ever seen this before
I saw. You see something new everyday.
You really do lol
Well more so it became prevalent as the team starts to get into more prime time situations and more āsuccessā
But kliff has a reputation for not ending any of his seasons well, I think he just needs to reset like half way through the season and have his OC or something come up with a new playbook
It seems he is not really someone who is able to adjust on the spot
Something I used to criticize McVay of in the past
But that might have been more about the limitations of Goff than anything else
In the off season he has to look at the last 2 Ram games and the Colts one and figure out how he can get Kyler out of situations like that.
Yea I think theyāll come back tough against us next year but man this year was a wash for them
I'm curious if he might be on the hot seat now
A lot of it has to go on Kyler too. He has a good long ball but his medium and short passes aren't good enough.
I think itās insane to put him on the hot seat
He is a good coach and the alternatives are so bad lol
I mean they flamed out last season when they were well on their way to the playoffs, and then they started 7-0 this year only to skid out and then ran into a buzz saw in the WC round
Considering he took a 3-13 team to at least playoff contenders. He's nowhere near the hotseat.
Yea thatās contextually bad but comparably way better than where they were before
Like, if Kiff goes, Steve Keim goes too.
Sure the talent is better than before but thereās also def been moments where the identity of this team has shined
I mean Keim has needed to be gone for a while
Is that their GM?
Yeah
Remember he gave 40 million to Sam Bradford?
Generally curious, Iām unaware lol
He just seems very mediocre to me
Off of the top of my head I can't think of 1 all star player he's drafted
Drafting is a different story I guess
Like, let's not pretend that he didn't had failures in the draft.
I don't know, it's just the guy has been there for what, 8 years now? 9? Are they any closer to being a contender?
Like you can argue D-Hop. But you're trading partner was BoB. Anyone could've robbed him.
Than before? Yes but def not close to a SB
Idk I guess you could replace him
But Iām only for it if there are better alternatives
I still don't know what BOB was thinking, or why no one else bid more than a 2 for DeAndre freaking Hopkins of all people
Like the last two years rosters arguably were well built
From his POV
They just didnāt really utilize it which is more of a coach problem
Anyhow, if you're big spenders at FA market. It means 9 times out of 10 that you've failed in the draft.
Do you think he's on the hot seat if they don't make the playoffs next year Fate?
definitely
Way too much talent to not be making the playoffs
Even in a tough division
Oh wait, I meant Kingsbury with that though I suppose you could throw Keim in to
Be shocked if they weren't tied together now
I think kingsbury personally is a good coach who just made some really odd decisions last few weeks
And I canāt really understand why
I can't really say much about the top of the Cards. Because they got fairly new ownership.
I think at the very least they need to think about getting a new DC
They've spent so much money and draft capital on their defense and that was the best they could muster in the WC round?
Like theyāre div rivals and I love winning comfortably but they looked crazy non competitive yesterday
Which is the worst part
Yeah
Tbh outside of the Raiders-Bengals game and maybe the 49ers-Cowboys game WC weekend was kind of a dud imo
Say what you want about the 9ers but they have always looked competitive in every game ever lol
Just so onesided
It was nice seeing the first home playoff win I've ever seen minus the SB.
Same
I was thinking about it and if rams won week 17, they could have almost home sided all the way to the SB
Because SB is in sofi
And against the Eagles of all teams so a little late revenge for when those times they knocked off those Dungy led Bucs back in the 90s and early 2000s
Call me crazy but I really think the Packers are going all the way this year
We gotta go to Tampa now and then GB if we win (if they also win)
The Rams always win against the Bucs in the playoffs.
Granted the last time was refball.
Iāve only watched football for 8 years but heās too good
I have rooted against him in every single SB except the pats vs hawks
Rams have won 7 of the last 8 match ups against Tampa
I'm sadly expecting the same on Sunday

Same
Got fān blown out by Winston
It was a shootout
And godwin
That was a fun game
I'm mixed. I'm just happy to see playoff football in Tampa consistently in my adult life
Then Mike with this gem on his long TD against Peters
That was fun
He even got a shout out from LeBron afterwards on Twitter
Still have this on my computer.
That honestly might have been Winston's best game as a pro, that in spite of the fact he threw a pick 6
I still remember it. "We beat the defending NFC Champions in a convincing fashion. We look for real." Then the Saints beat the crap out of us; because the Saints just love taking all the optimism I have and shitting on it.
Of course that Ram game came after. That game.
That one is gonna sting for a while
I mean we won a title without him so that is a W in the long run, but it still sucks that a guy we gave up on too early because a stud elsewhere
Ah well
Of course he'd be a stud after leaving the Bucs. Always happens.
Really hope I didnāt jinx him since we are playing Bucs this weekend lol
Same thing happened with Matt Bryant
And Nick Folk.
The period between Greg and gay was so hectic
A good kicker makes such a difference
For real
Chargers would know it all too well
We have had hekker who imo is one of the best punters in the last decade and then mostly greg
So rams didnāt have too much to worry about
I'm hopeful though that Jose turns into our long term answer at kicker after we inevitably cut Succop for cap reasons
But gay has been a revelation
Gay would most likely still be our kicker rn if there was pre season in 2020.
It's just funny how a pandemic changes a lot.
Now that we have had this Convo, I fully expect some BS To go down this weekend
And we will recall this convo
I hope wirfs plays though
Don't worry, Stafford will just throw 3 picks to Devin White and company. So you don't have to worry about kicks.
Let Brady have his protection, I wanna see if rams defense can get through
High ankle sprains are a bitch though, so I'm doubtful of his chances
Yea no way he should have been sent back in
Also hope Whitworth is good to go for y'all though Fate
All players (well not all AB) would wanna go back out there
Dude is 40 and playing such a difficult position and killing it
If we do win a SB, I hope heās there on the field in a Jersey
Agreed, even though he was fighting to go back in the coaches should've seen his wasn't healthy and shut him down immediately
ESP against the eagles they suck lol
I still believe the Rams beat us last time because the Rams offense was able to score more. So if the Bucs defense can actually stop them this time, it will be very, very close game.
Yea I think this game will be more rams offense vs Bucs defense
I think both teams are stronger now than they were before
I expect Brady to get at least 21 somehow
I saw a list of whatās different since week 3. We have miller, Obj and akers
Bucs D is pretty much as close to 100% as they have been all season and the Rams now have guys like Miller and OBJ playing like their old selves
Yeah plus Akers
Dude is a madlad
OBJ is there now. Like we had problems with DeSean Jackson last time and he's not even on the Rams anymore.
You couldn't convince me that he tore his Achilles like 4-5 months ago
I wouldn't believe it
Athletes really are freaks
i don't know what magic akers used to return
Akers using the TB12 program secrectly.
A shame he missed all year
He easily could've been in the running for the rushing crown
I fully believe that
Loved him at FSU, wanted him badly in the draft back in 2020
ab is proof that high end talent doesn't equal high iq
I mean, Ke'Shawn Vaughn is finally showing flashes at RB.
a shame tennessee ran derrick henry into the ground
And somehow still got the 1st seed in the AFC.
Gosh can you imagine if he's actually back to 100% this weekend
Titans legit might run the table
They're facing Burrow and Chase though. Gonna be a tough one.
And theyāre already 1 seed
And only with 11 wins which is just...damn
Whoever wins chiefs vs bills wins out AFC but I think bengals win
I respect titans honestly, I donāt think theyāre a false 1 seed
I just have a lot of faith in burrow lol
I'm glad he's not in the NFC.
And chase is really really really good
Man some of his catches and runs against the raiders
I know, I love being right.
who doesn't
He's damn near as complete of a WR as I've ever seen
LSU produces a class once in a while that destroys it in the NFL
Fr
They had OBJ and Landry, then followed that up a couple years later with Jefferson and Chase
Just nuts
Yea sucks they didnāt win with OBJ and Landry
Sometimes I feel bad for that program. Because they have to always be reminded that JaMarcus Russell once played there.
But personally think this Jefferson and chase class will be seen as even better
Oh no doubt
Do you think one is definitively better than the other or are they about equal?
Cause it's a really tough call for me
As WRs?
Yeah
Iād take JJ tomorrow
But think chase is really really close
JJ deserves a better QB lol
kirk cousins isn't a bad qb
OBJ and Landry. Ha. Everytime I think of them I think how they really wasted them there. What was their QB. Zach Mettenberger?
Yup heās pretty much the definition of average
But burrow to chase works because burrow is exceptional
Yeah
Kirk Cousins is a good QB. And he's a shit QB when it actually matters.
Plus with all of the other weapons on that O it's legit pick your poison
Tee Higgins is a monster
Just producing offense
FFS
Not to mention mixon
Them picking up solid pieces on defense is why theyāre in playoffs though
Still need a o line though
Think Burrow was sacked like close to or over 50 times this season
That is crazy man
Andrew Luck like. "First time?"
Ridiculous that his numbers are as good as they are with him under siege like that
How can you let your franchise get sacked so much
It sucks because luck was also generational
But dude just couldnāt take it anymore and I canāt blame him
I'm happy for him though that he seems legit happy out of football
Colts were my 2019 dark horse pick before he retired.
And most likely wonāt have CTE now
You never know sadly
Yea he still played a lot of football
Still so much about the brain that we don't know
But he wonāt be paralyzed early in his life
True
He was suffering way more than just brain damage with the hits he took
At least he'll have a functional shoulder
They had peyton then luck and now they have.. wentz
they had rivers before wentz also
The Colls waste generational talent like they're candy.
I totally forgot he had his retirement tour there
It's not fair that the Steelers can just keep finding solid WRs outside of R1 man
Heās forever a charger in my mind
At least that might change now that their GM Colbert is retiring
Might being the operative word
They're changing. But are they changing for the best or worse?
Yea but Steelers got a good coach, good defense, good offense if they stop dancing and dropping catches
Getting routed by the chiefs isnāt something Iām gonna rlly hold against them
Their QB himself had given up before the game began lol
I don't understand why the vets don't just put their feet down and smack those younger players upside the head already
Like Claypool
That dude has all the talent in the world to be great, but he's such a whiny show off
That dude has so much god gift athleticism
Heās like 6 foot crazy something
And fast
The Steelers have a terrible culture there. And thank god Big Ben is out because he was one part of that toxic culture. But Mike Tomlin is still there and he's still a great HC. But he treats player discipline like it's a county club.
Tomlin keeps a mostly tight ship, he's damn sure a rock solid coach
But he really needs to come down hard on the young talent and get them to act to professionals
Yea
I think Russ would be a perfect addition there though
Though he def seems more like a Qb to enable player antics
Russ and Harris would be a cool duo out of the back field
It's not even applies to young talent. It's also older ones. People like Joey Porter and Jeff Reed can do dumb shit and be back on the sideline the next day like it never happened.
Man harris is so good
Even at like age 33 or 34 he's still a great athlete
Yeah he flashed a lot this year
If only the Steelers had a good O-line
Could have put up better numbers
No matter if Russ comes there or not. It's gonna be much of the same like 2014-18 period. Get so close to the SB only to lose everytime. Only except of Tom Brady kicking their ass it's someone like Mahomes.
Iād still want that you know
Those teams are usually just a hot run from a SB
someone like the eagles
Give them a way better chance than Big Ben lol
or the 49ers
honestly idk how i'd feel about lance playing vs gb given jimmy g's injuries
was legit gonna use them as my second example lol
or the 2012 ravens lol but that was just flacco going absolutely insane for some reason
yāall would lose bad lol
jimmy g is jimmy g but he controls the game well
idk if u get this far, go for it
its more of can jimmy play
well he doesnāt need to do much, itāll be mostly running lol
thatās how yāall have destroyed us and packers last few years
on the ground, tough running
he still has to make decisions and throw the ball
he just needs to be able to make the odd pass
and if he can't then the 49ers are kinda screwed
which I trust him to do more rn than lance
How much do you think SF will get for moving him in the offseason?
I'd say at least a 2
Depends on how far they go this off szn and he keeps playing
But with how many teams need QBs, someone WILL overpay
the real question is who's the backup
a team like pittsburgh, washington, maybe the giants will take him
the timberwolves have a better record than the knicks

Haven't been watching NBA so far this year, have the Knicks dropped off that hard since last season?
they are 22-23
That doesn't seem that bad
Seems like they're on pace for like an 8th or maybe even 7th seed
Jeez, what is going on with the Lakers?
I mean I've heard some of y'all talk about them dropping the ball at times the last couple weeks but that just seems really underwhelming given the talent on paper on that team
on paper is the key part
this team is more of a shitshow than i thought
idk who's even in charge of the lakers at this point
Vogel is gone
Will be soon
Dunno how I feel other than I wouldn't say this is entirely his fault at all
This team just isn't good and doesn't fit
Lebron always
Think McCarthy is on the hot seat?
All this Vlahovic and Isak talk and we are going to end up with Calvert Lewin ffs
He's Everton's Andy Carroll
Na I feel like he will last the team actually turned up vs the jazz plus Ad is coming back soon
He's on a game to game basis. It really all depends if they keep winning
And I don't think that's likely
Hi @celest zephyr we meet again for the final time tonight
hey lance try to be aaron
rangers probably going to win
i just want the leafs to play more regularly
feels like an event every time they play/ play a b2b
Ehhhh I genuinely believe we match up so well with one another. Legit 50/50 going into each game
just bully muzzin and holl to victory
LMAO I follow a big Leafs fan and he swears Holl is a liability too
that lakers team just wasn't constructed well
it still isn't
The FA is investigating a yellow card received by an Arsenal player in a Premier League fixture this season, amid concerns of suspicious betting patterns.
Wonder who
Sacramento has done due diligence on Matisse Thybulle, as well as Ben Simmons and Tobias Harris, per @SeanDeveney
