A. $5m from organization that is messy, has bad staff, bad owner, bad GM
B. $5m (or even slightly less) from organization that is well run, has some of your friends from HS/middle school/college, good GM

Do you ever watch ESPN/FS1? Some of the stuff people say on there is heavily suspect and most likely promoted in partnership with the major sports leagues. This takes away from the game in a number of ways

One thing I’ll have to bring up is the fact that a lot of players are on the court because people know them/someone likes them and not necessarily because they’re better than anyone else

One of the most egregious examples of sports media overstepping was the Javale McGee situation

A lot of the gossip/narratives/storylines we see on television affect the game in a real way and arguably makes it much worse than it could be. It’s also sometimes just inappropriate to discuss (ie. Kwame Brown).

And another unfortunate thing is that it’s a very common opinion that officials/league office has incentive to skew the games toward certain outcomes based on what the fans like, probably due to what the media promotes (Sac/LA in the early 2000s)

Simple, this format is a snake draft. So let's say there's ten of us, were each placed for a number between 1-10, then when the next round comes, those numbers are reversed. 10-1, then just keeps alternating. You pick who you want, 2gk, 5d, 5m, 3f, and set your lineups each week. You can choose formats (352 and 343 are the most popular) and swap players in and out depending on form or fixtures (i.e, if you drafted Lloris and Areola, but Areola has an easy week and Lloris plays City, you can bench Lloris and put in Areola for that week). Finally, you can trade w other players (i.e, you want to trade someone Mane and Ings for Salah and Cavani) or drop players from your squad to pick up ones that are available (BC no matter how many members you have there will always be free players to be picked up).

hopefully this season becomes a blessing in disguise. Lindor was borderline disaster if not for the defense. Cohen knows you can’t just throw money and expect wins. We have talented young-ish players but our pitching was exposed and bad. The hitting too. Not sure where they go from here but gotta start with the pitching first and foremost
