Strong day for #49ers QB Trey Lance. Had him down as 13-of-14 with lone incompletion coming on an overthrow in final rep of practice. Also effective in run game again. Only the one rep with first team OL but adding pads didnāt slow Lance at all today.

yeah, he's playing well
but camp buzz is usually nonsense anyways
I'm just glad he looks good out there
It's better than looking poor in camp.
yep lol
jimmy basically always looks bad in camp/practice
but much better in games
yeah shooting was the problem so I'm happy
Since the Lakers have improved drastically
I bet they unlock malik
Do we think they can beat Brooklyn?
š¤
Probably like the monk signing the best.
Lemme look at Brooklynās depth chart
blazers added
Ben McLemore? Kenneth FARIED to the summer squad?
Dame going to be gone in a year.
Blazers need to go to the lottery
the big thing is trading for siakam
everyone wants it
CJ for Siakam with something in between
not sure if the Raptors want McCollum
they were interested
i am now a lakers fan
and we'd have to overpay a bit but still
sorry everyone
I get tired of elite players playing for bum/slightly good teams
welcome to the gang
what happened jeff
melo
Iām putting in my 2 weeks in Boston
Melo??
I am a Lakers fan for the year
also the monk signing was really really good, that is a great spot for him
but melo my guy
finally getting to play w lebron must feel so good
Melo is just an amazing player to me. Something about him is just mesmerizing idek
He has such a good handle on the game
I just want Russ to win, so I understand the sentiment.
Without even being in good shape
my appreciation for melo is moreso geared towards his overall career trajectory rather than his individual performance
Guess the knicks were relegated then in your support.
sucks so bad he never won a ring, and it keeps people from including him in conversations about great players
2013 was the year
But no one was beating Bron in 2013
knicks destroyed the heat in regular season
with their big 3 all playing big mins
no rests
Portland Trail Blazers
PORTLAND, Ore. (August 3, 2021) ā The Portland Trail Blazers today announced their roster for the 2021 NBA Summer League training camp that will begin today and run through Friday, August 6.The roster features rookie forwards Greg Brown III and Trendon Watford as well as third-year forward Nassir Little and second-year guard CJ Elleby. Trail Bla...
They were very good
Kenneth Faried
Michael Beasley
Emmanuel Mudiay
we'll give you picks :)
š·
do you have picks after the norman powell deal?
hard to tell because they only played twice in that season, but i'm not kidding, NO team was prepared for the knicks' play style. and i'm not just saying that as a knicks fan. they sort of set the precedent of the NBA spacing we see in the game now
D'antoni
knicks got blown out by spurs at their home, and knicks blew out the spurs at msg
Is Gasol still in the Lakers?
ah
I have my qualms about Mike Dantoni but he is an innovator for sure
Lakers still have the taxpayer 5.9m MLE
yeah
2012 - 2013 NBA Season
Spurs - Knicks
2013/01/03
he's staying for one more year
this was THE team man
I canāt even be like ābut muh fundamentalsā cuz dantoni teams can hoop
Oh ik
lmao, woodson
kk just making sure
the offensive scheme was moreso orchestrated entirely by kidd
one of the stranger looking individuals to ever participate in the NBA
Bro facts
oh shit
Beautiful. Hopefully they drop those black kits
these are pretty sick
these are fire
Did you like the Knicks moves so far?
not really
that was expected
but it's not the end of the world bad like they used to be in terms of FA moves
is Fournier decent ?
has future flexibility, pretty fair contracts that are very tradeable
fournier is good
Debatable
naw, he's good
Ooo
need to look at his usage in offensive schema that work in his favor
i think he is a pretty good fit for knicks' half court O
especially as a secondary creator
Yeah heās not a general use player Id put it that way
I wouldnāt throw him out there and expect much
the eye test fails you
Heās good but not great
how can you say someone is good, but also say that you wouldn't throw them out there and expect much
By good I mean a serviceable NBA player
sounds decent then
But I wouldnāt expect them to carry a decent load or anything
I wish the Knicks paid for Chris Paul.
he wasn't going anywhere
yeah that was a given for cp3 the min he opted out
yeah I know
well heās a GOAT they all get that much money usually
I just don't expect Paul to be good then. He'll regress at that point.
but also on fournier, people use the eye test and fail to consider that he was underutilized in ORL for one, and then put into a system that restricted his natural playstyle in BOS
he shot incredibly well in boston
look at his splits between BOS and his last year in ORL where he had a higher USG
oh, D Rose re-signed
no
mavs
d-rose is a signing that normie fans love
but d-rose was not my top choice
never mind
was he not that good last year?
i'll say this
he was decent, but when he was bad, he was BAD. and when he eventually had a good game, it would cover up all of the bad that preceded it
3yr/43 for Derrick rose lol
those numbers aren't right
but also, that's still a good deal for a player of his caliber
i just preferred utilizing the cap space on someone else
They did re-sign gibson
Didn't expect that
Taj Gibson has agreed to a one-year, $2.7 million deal to return to the Knicks, Mark Bartelstein of @PrioritySports tells SNY.

thibs keeps his guys
continuity, which i can respect
the boon of the knicks organization was thinking overnight overhauls could work for them, when it's only backfired time and time again
i can appreciate being this consistent 7th or 8th seed that can change player feelings on the franchise
??
League sources confirm Knicks have reached a deal with Derrick Rose for 3 years and $43 million in total. Still some details being worked through but Knicks will have Rose back at point guard. ESPN first reported agreement between Rose and NYK.

woj and shams have that too
unconfirmed but it's being fit into early bird slot
in which case, it would open up 12 mil in cap space
that'd be smart
Hearing that the Derrick Rose deal may not hamstring the Knicks the way it's been talked about - think he's fitting into an early bird slot, so Knicks could have at least $9 million - which could escalate easily to $12 million.

ok
yeah, christ
if the lakers don't win my boy melo a chip
they should win the west at least.

also i say this but meanwhile, the nets did literally this and got away with it. even after billy king tore a hole through that franchise. this shit makes me so mad
don't know why it makes you mad
these fuckin hipsters drinking their cold brews and ipas after moving from bumfuck, arkansas to brooklyn, ny filling their playlist with biggie smalls albums and shouting "broooooooklyn" while pushing out the local residents by raising the overall cost of living
i mean
I didn't expect that from basketball
the inter-city rivalry runs DEEP
it's like Clippers/Lakers
or A's fans hating the Giants for some reason
brooklyn court side fans full of hipsters
As an NYR fan.. this hurts my soul
Mr. Spencer "blockchain fund my crypto scam joe tsai, brooklyn is the silicon valley of the east coast, AR VR crypto doge coin video game poggers" Dinwiddie
I felt that @dry surge
oh yeah, dimwiddie ran that scam didn't he.
he did? lmao
Luckily no one was stupid enough to do anything with it.
idk if it's a scam or not i'm just assuming it is because that's funnier
he does angry when it's called that.
also don't act surprised about my hatred for the nets organization
i'm friends with a lot of actual nets fans who are just as angry about them moving to brooklyn
oh yeah ratner moved the nets
Jay Z literally bought stake in the team my man
He was one of the first to vocally speak about them moving to BK
.15%
surprised you didn't mention the fact that KD and Kyrie could have came to the Knicks instead of Brooklyn. Lebron to an extent as well, but his wife wanted LA.
Dolan influenced that first statement though if the rumors were correct.
Sources: The San Antonio Spurs are finalizing sending DeMar DeRozan to the Chicago Bulls for Thad Young, a future first-round pick and two second-round picks.
Bulls have a squad?!?!
yup. I canāt remember fully but I want to say Jay Z also put money into Barclayās, like the development of the arena. He was a big voice at the time
I thought he wanted to contend.
DeMar DeRozan is finalizing a three-year, $85 million-plus deal to join the Chicago Bulls, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium.
they always say that
Dang so lakers got monk and melo?

also derozan going to the bulls is surprising but
looking like we might not be a first round exit after all
And love watching Melo work
idk about that pacing for the bulls team lOL
i'm sure they'll figure it out
but yeesh
Iām surprised derozan is going to a non contender
pacing or spacing?
spacing
ok
my keyboard is being bad
that makes more sense
yeah i really didn't think he'd go to us
I mean they might be but not heavy contenders
thought for sure he'd reunite with lowry
They won't make it out of the east.
Theyāll make the playoffs and will compete
ehhhh
Iām gonna watch bulls games for ball and caruso lol
they better hope Lauri figures it out
Definitely will be a top team for highlights
lonzo
wow we kept lauri
man, what are the lakers going to do now, they don't have caruso anymore.
"it's all about winning at this point" - demar last week
Yeah they do
I just need AB and we good
They have Mac mclung
Mac mcclung is cool
Heās the closest u can get to Caruso š¤£š¤£
vogel gotta get them to buy in
Did mills sign somewhere?
Lebron**
Brooklyn
but I donāt mind , I like monk
https://twitter.com/ChrisBHaynes/status/1422650177081331714?s=20
fully guaranteed
Itās a three-year, $85 million fully guaranteed deal for DeMar DeRozan negotiated by Aaron Goodwin of @GoodwinSports. https://t.co/jPt1o6MsLK
hopefully he stays out of trouble
?
LA and his past donāt mesh well lol
What in the uniting the avengers type shit is this free agency
that is so much money
wtf
got the bag
thought he did something
LA vs BKN is gonna be captain Americaās civil war
theres like 2 super teams and 4 really good teams now
I think BKN has the edge on the big 3 but LAL has better overall squad
Yea itāll finally be fun to watch some Bulls games
i hope the players stay healthy this season
The Bulls got their guy. The name of the game isn't the 4th or 5th seed. DeRozan would elevate them higher.
guess Derozan was the last domino to fall in free agency.
nets vs la is gonna be fun
it will? I have doubts.
Donāt think so
Siakam trade please
Get him tf out of my city
Free agent guard Tony Snell has agreed to a one-year deal with the Portland Trail Blazers, his agent Austin Brown of @CAA_Basketball tells ESPN.
lol
snell is actually a good signing for us
How you gonna go sit behind one of the best centers in the league
Siakam the only player to actually not deserve all star title and thatās coming from a die-hard raps fan
He took Howard's place in essence
I feel like he is such a POR-lite player lol
yea but they serve different roles
true
They have Zach LaVine and Vuch there already. Along with the signings of Ball and Caruso now. Yeah, Derozen does a lot for the Bulls.
I still see them as a 4th seed at best.
they got baynes though. boucher too I think
A closing lineup of ball lavine derozan caruso and vucevic is elite
Thatās some good defense
Guess the next young star to ask out will probably be KAT. Don't know if Beal will do it.
Idk whatās going on with Beal
I doubt that
you do?
They brough Russel to pair him with it
That ain't good enough if KAT wants to win.
They just havenāt really gotten the chance to play
I mean they tried to do a deal with book at the same time as Russel to get that UNC chemistry but I fell through
You know, the Bulls would be a lot better rn if a certain Reinsdorf actually believed his team plays in the 3rd largest city in the US
Suns were never trading Booker
I mean def not now they contended
But Suns could have traded him
you never know
or he could have left
Book might want out next year on his own anyways
no
that's not happening till later in the future.
I put him in the same category as trae and lillard
There is only so many times you can lose until you get tired of it and want out
they just went to the finals
These super teams are proof of that
They'll be good enough to make the playoffs
I wish more superstars were like Giannis. Actually gives a fuck about the city he plays for.
They went to the finals during the most whirlwind of seasons
they still went there.
It was an opportunity they didn't capitalize on, but they still earned the right to get there.
Yeah I give it to them but if the league ever goes back to normal they are going to go back just making playoffs
Eh
I donāt
Loyalty is only cool when itās for the team your rooting for and that loyalty being synonymous with winning
A lot of em end up stuck on bum teams and need to get out if they want to make something of their career and play with non-bums
Why would someone want to be a generational talent and play with bums
A lot of players did just that š¤®
how many HOFers do lakers have
It's one thing if one superstar is fucked for 5-8 years with little to no playoffs. It's another thing to be like Durant or Harden and be a big chicken shit and jump to teams and take the easy way out. They have the right to do it of course. But it doesn't excuse them from being called out for being a punk ass.
Los Angeles Lakers scores, news, schedule, players, stats, rumors, depth charts and more on RealGM.com
I mean oh the team rn lol
Thatās why theyāre criticized for that
Oh
3 of them
Maybe 4 with Russ?
5-8 years is too much even
And gasol too?
Def melo Lebron and Howard are hofers
Imagine being an engineer and working with people who donāt know their job ššš
Westbrook AD and Gasol will make it too
Thereās 6 then
So I think 6 overall
5-8 years is too much? That's a regular contract for any other sport.
To be fair three of them are past their primes
Thatās because other sports give the front office too much power
Russ is in his prime
Albeit it didnāt work out for us
8 years is a ridiculous amount of time
Still went to the finals
Thatās half an NBA career for a good player
Yea but the thing about Lebron not being in his prime is that heās still a top 5 player in the NBA lmao
The Kobe Nash Howard team was a bigger mess
Thatās why I didnāt include him really. Exception to the rule
But yea, I just want AB/Gay and we should be good
We havenāt even used our MLE which is weird lol
Anthony Bennett????
Whoās AB
Ahh I should catch up

Avery Bradley
Oh
š
LOL how is the first name u thought it was Bennett
He did play well for Canada
I still have nightmares about him
Not much out there
But we still have a MLE available
In free agency
I just want to see a pissed off Russell Westbrook this season. Dunk it hard, or get into it with Pat Bev.
itāll be fun to watch him play for my team
It will
legit been a personal fan of his even though heās frustrating
but so is everyone on the lakers not named Lebron
some days will piss me off but some days will be really fun
Is it though? You do realize in this league that has players come to the NBA too early in their careers and are draft to bad teams. You know, the reason why they're drafted there in the first place is because the team was bad. If you think every NBA team can build a championship team in 3-5 year stretch, you're out of your mind.
Sounds about right
when Brody and melo have bad nights, they will get slandered
but then we will love em next night
as long as I donāt gotta deal with kuzma no more
Think Russ will probably get heat this season. But heāll be a positive
8 years is āwasting your careerā territory. Quite frankly I donāt care if these small market bum teams never get good I just want to see good players hoop
Look at Zion. Not even 2 years in his career is already bitching. Like he doesn't understand the concept of what a building a team is.
The Pelicans is a bum organization stop it
Does he need to care?
Zion is a generational talent in a bum organization
Tbf zion is right
Do you want him to end up with people talking about him like they talk about Barkley?
Players see the writing on the wall nowadays
Thereās no reason to stay with a bum organization
He made one of the most promising teams in the NBA just outright bad
Yeah griffin screwed this up pretty badly
How do you expect this league to get healthy then? Contract majority of the league?
I agree players should be more patient but NO is just a special case
Donāt think the Stan van Gundy hire made sense
Also itās not a players job to build a team. The GM is paid to do that
Because a healthy league isn't one where 98% of the league is fucked from the beginning.
š¤£š¤£š¤£
People say stuff like this but like
If YOU were an NBA star would YOU play for the Pelicans?
Garrett Temple
fleeced
You'd try to make the Pelicans a team to be respected.
dumpster FO lol
Jaxson hayes
Yes I like money and Cajun cuisine thank you
Players should continue to leave bum organizations until they get their business together
Would you like the area?
Nawlins? Hell yeah
Good players canāt fix a bad FO
I figured as much
The Bulls sure won a lot of championships with bad FO, no?
Krause was an excellent GM
With the greatest player of all time
That roster was well constructed
They had great squads too
Even with Jordan
Also.. the greatest player of all time
Krause was a good GM, Just the bulls players hated him
He made good signings and moves
He even brought Phil in
Bulls prob donāt win 6 without him
They probably donāt
But itās a matter of fact he also has the greatest player ever on his team so he a little bit more lee way
My thing is: players are only being smart avoiding poorly run teams. Would you go work for a poorly run company if someone else can offer you the same salary?
Even without Jordan, they still made it far in the playoffs.
Not really the same even though I understand your argument
Winning is a bonus
You're still getting paid stacks and you'll still have fans. Let's consider this in PL terms for a moment
Must I also point out. That Michael Jordon was drafted in 84 and didn't make a NBA Finals till 91. If Jordan played today, you really think he would've stayed with the Bulls past year 6?
You really think players that play for WHU or CP care that they're the smaller teams in London when they get paid to those levels and still have fans and play in a great city?
Imo it's the same concept w a team like the pelicans
But again you prob know more than me so
No the Pelicans is a bad organization
Much like my hometown team
Orlando
Horrible organization
Even tho itās a big city
So is WHU, with full respect to their players and fans
Yet they play in London, legit the biggest sport market in the world arguably
We give professional athletes too much leeway when at the end of the day they have the capital to do whatever the fuck they want and thats paramount
It depends on whatās important to you. A lot of players donāt like being around dysfunction. I completely understand that. If I myself were a player Iād like to be on a team like Golden State or the Spurs ideally
Football is far different imo
It is
Yeah itās different
For sure
Playing in the EPL is in of itself a privilege
It's just the thing I'm most familiar with so it's my basis ya dig
The NBA only has 30 teams and thatās it
I'm not trying to blame players themselves here. They all have the rights to do so. This is more of a league problem because at the end of the day, you look at any other league. There's always a chance for every team to win a championship every year. With the NBA, can you really say that? No, you can't.
Idk man I have pro athletes in my family so I see it differently
Honestly Siren I get you but the NHL has the same problems
Like some of these teams are so bad to play for even tho theyāre really wealthy folks
If that's your argument, I agree totally
Sorry I'm slightly intoxicated and tired and just kinda came in
But yeah like...ain't a mf soul in the NHL fanbase that thinks the sabres, yotes, etc have a chance at a championship
ššš
There is a chance in other league for āmoreā teams to contend but I donāt see that as a problem in the NBA
I don't see it as a problem per se, my issue w the NBA is that like
Those TV Ratings say otherwise.
How do I say this
People donāt watch NBA for their own political reasons
Its kinda fucked up that teams can clinch/be eliminated so early for me
Not the competition
Itās always mentioned with basketball for tv reasons
Letās be honest
You're absolutely right Fate
The face of the NBA is not a well liked man in some parts of America
And yea idk why tv ratings are only a thing when it comes to NBA
Only NFL does better lmao
They donāt talk about that with other sports
Tv ratings
I mean
Lol hmmm
Vikings now have released 2020 1st-round pick, CB Jeff Gladney, after he was indicted today by a grand jury in Dallas on a charge of allegedly assaulting a woman in Dallas in April.
Big oof
I donāt mean to expand on that phrase in hopes of not getting into some political thing
As fate said it's political. TV ratings are used, quite arbitrarily imo, as basis for how good something is or isn't, and people will apply that to the NBA to push certain agendas
But if you know, you know
TLDR hillbillyās hate Bron
Thatās a whiff
Whiff indeed
Oof also applies
See also: England fans after penalty misses and how English media spoke about those players prior to that event

I mainly see it as a way to prop big market teams up
Yeah sports is bigger than just the game
People sort of assign values and feelings to sports
Another point^
You have to wonder if certain dudes ever consider that theyāre throwing away millions of dollars by doing stupid shit off the field/court

Well the thing about big time athletes is like
Sports, specifically footy, are way more politically oriented than American sports in terms of who you support, and I think that's starting to bleed into American sports culture
For some of them
Saying that in reference to Gladney btw
Especially blue chip prospects
Probably not
They donāt really live regular lives after like 12-14 years old
They donāt grow up normal
So they kinda just do whatever
Their whole lives become oriented towards sports because as long as they can play someone will get them out of trouble
My friend from high school who was recruited by D1 schools used to turn his homework in like a week late every time and he was a great guy. Imagine how it scales down ššš
Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford hit his right thumb on a helmet while throwing a pass during Mondayās practice, but he appears to have avoided a serious injury. Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that X-rays on the thumb were negative. Staffordās thumb is swollen and he is expected to miss some practice days, but there [more]
Thatāll probably be a lingering issue.
It always seems to be the case
Worse than they report it to be
Might considering his durability issues, but Iām sure theyāll just rest him the entire preseason
If he plays below standards, itāll be brought back up.
You better get used to seeing Matt get injured at the worst times
2 days until the HOF game, football is almost back š„³
Time for disappointment
No preseason last year made me appreciate it
Yeah, cause the first month of the season everyone was so rusty
Ah thatās fair
Look at the Bucs for first 2 games. A lot rusty
Indeed
Damn I missed a good topic before
The 2nd one more so
1st one at least had some semblance of competitiveness
@dim ledge youāre right, the idea that the NHL has parity is false. Every league has to deal with it and hockey isnāt different
Only good things I can say about the 2nd one was the I can say that I got to see both Tom Brady and Drew Brees play live before they retired, and that the food and company were good
- if Jack Eichel was a basketball player, he wouldāve been traded months ago letās be real
How fast did the fans leave.
I mean itās not like it was sold out
There were still in person restrictions back then
I forgot about that
Iād say the crowd was more or less the same from start to finish
Just subdued
The NHL doesnāt have parity not even a little? You telling me, you donāt ever see miracle runs of teams that look dead last year or even in the regular season in hockey?
nah I donāt think so. I think some teams are just drowning in shit bc of poor ownership, maybe bad luck.Basically my point is that no league has an majority of teams that are equal in talent
I mean if youāre paying out the ass to see a sporting event you might as well get your moneyās worth and watch it to the end
Regular season hockey is far and away better than regular season basketball and youāre right that you have a better chance in the NHL to make something from nothing but like Balkan said, we still have teams like Buffalo and Arizona that are waste pits
I keep saying we smh
Hockey bias lmao
Regular season basketball seems kinda pointless to watch
definitely
Yeah, but in the NHL a bad team like the Sabres or the Yotes could make a run compared to a bad team in the NBA.
I canāt disagree because like you said weāve seen before with St Louis for example. Dallas last year, Montreal this year
The coyotes wonāt ever make a run
At all
After that mess with Chayka
The suns had a decent chance of making the playoffs
anything is possible, thatās the truth. just gonna take them longer now to figure that out
but making the finals and being up 2-0?
They had a better front office and coach and better talent
idk about that all that
Iām horrible at making arguments lmfaooo I just agree with everyone smh
They benefitted from their chances
better than being a contrarian
LMAO true. I appreciate that. Itās just my nature man, idk
"klopp will be sacked"
The man himself @dim ledge

theres prob like a list of 3 managers in the world rn that cant get sacked
how's that different that any others? lol
and klopp is like on it
Itās good basketball
Klopp, Zidane, Pep?
I forgot this
simeone
i didnt enjoy reg szn last szn
Dude left and went back in lmao
Lost my point somewhere.
Forget that
Nah I think simeone can be sacked idk
I think the NBA regular season is just more predictable once you hit that 1/4 stage into the season. Itās not that the basketball is bad. Itās that you can start guessing on who wins and losses early on in the season. Whereas in other sports it doesnāt happen until say trade deadline and beyond
hes lived far too long at atleti
but I donāt watch much nba so I could be VERY wrong
but won the title last season
facts I canāt argue that. Youāre still watching pros at the highest level in the world
too many regular season games in the nba, last season and bubble was nicer for me as it had a bit less than the norm
I just like watching good players hoop
You would? Even at that cost? Forget that for me.
I enjoy it tho
Same as if I was at the park
me catching the AMTRAK to Penn and paying $125 to watch the rangers play
yeah shit is expensive but just saying if I had the chance to actually see lol

if nose bleed seats then yeah nah
If you really like the game itās always amazing unless a really terrible team is playing
Me in a few months
Worth
Never forget the time I went to msg and some dude almost got into a fight w the people in back of me
Then bought me and my friend beers

NU YAWK
The regular season means nothing in the NBA because 98% of the league is fucked from the start. Like you don't get the elements to get you to care about the regular season compared to other North American sports.
Well do you like the game?
lol classic

what the hell
when are they gonna stop
LOLOLOL
let's gooooo
Letās gooooo
WAIT

We got a squad š¤š¤š¤
I like the game. But the game alone doesn't want to watch a game that has little to no story and no journey till the playoffs. And even then, the first round usually bombs. It makes you want get to the 3rd or even the Finals for basketball to actually matter.
How the hell did the lakers get nunn
he was actually killing us
but spoelstra didnt play him too much
I was just telling a friend he'd be a good sign

Nunn's deal has a player option in Year 2. He turned down more money with the Knicks and other teams to join the Lakers. https://t.co/rQbY7PI0XJ
how is he defensively?
not great
so another non defender
PG: Russell Westbrook, Kendrick Nunn, THT
SG: Malik Monk, Wayne Ellington
SF: Lebron James, Kent Bazemore, Trevor Ariza
PF: Anthony Davis, Carmelo Anthony
C: Marc Gasol, Dwight Howard
he solid enough
Theyāve got a squad
lakers were number 1 defensively last year and pelinka said " f that, id rather have offense"
becuz defense dont win u nothing now
(this is a joke)
Vogel is good at defense though
Ariza is good on D
he competes im fine with it
Which helps
Yeah see thatās the problem. I donāt care about narratives or fiction-ified basketball. I like seeing good players play
vogel made kuzma a good defender
so anything is possible
ariza is amazing on D but hes 1 player and older
Too bad he couldnāt help him develop everything else
bench won't go to shit when lebron sits
a better feeling
nunn can lead the second group
You see, this is where we have to agree to disagree then.
we are DEFINITELY not getting schroder now
yeah he did
The Miami Heat have pulled the qualifying offer on Kendrick Nunn, making him an unrestricted free agent, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium.

he signed in 2 hours?
Because stuff like NFL Films wouldn't exist if people didn't care about narratives and storylines. It's how people get emotionally invested in the game.
or do u think they told him before?
We dont need him now lol
lmao
People root for underdogs in sports because the story of how they got to where they're at is very interesting and people get invested in it.
Narratives and fiction-ified stuff ruins the game of basketball
A good story is always appealing to watch
Also helps when it's teams you dont follow much cause time is limited
Kendrick Nunn and malik monk def getting dat under the table money cause aint no wayšššššššš

Narratives are good if you donāt like the game but I hate seeing stuff like what Rachel Nichols does and First Take sometimes and creates a Narnia version of basketball
Actually not being scripted makes the stories even more appealing cause is the real deal and not some cheesy movie lol
And tbh the fact that people like that stuff so much is the reason the NBA definitely has some scripted elements
I'm a sucker for Jon Bois type of vids lmao
they be doing too much
Rob Pelinka and LeBron are doing things. 3-point shooting was a question ... FRIDAY. Since then ...
Kent Bazemore 41%
Wayne Ellington 42%
Malik Monk 40%
Carmelo Anthony 40%
Kendrick Nunn 38% https://t.co/DtXM4SU1IT

they better make their 3's
Like the LeBron and D Rose drafts were so incredibly scripted
His mariners video was excellent
Lions video was also fun
Nothing will ever pass The Decision lmaooo
Did Lakers pull a man city
Pretty much
Lakers in 5
Michael Jordon's legacy wouldn't have impacted so many if the players and teams he fought didn't create drama and narratives.

Jordanās legacy was because of marketing
He was also pretty damn good
And Nike
So was Magic but here were are discussing Jordan specifically
his brand power was on another level
Thatās marketing
I mean he also won 6 out of 6 finals w/o ever needing a game 7 each time
not rlly, most of these players arent in their prime
theyre just pieces being put together
And youāre still talking about him right now out of anyone else you could be discussing
He was the best and marketed as such
Wow
A deep team.
Most of the Lakers over 32????
more like 36
Most will scram afterwards most likely lol
we have THT, monk, nunn, mckinnie
new lakers about to be posting like bron
#striveforgreatness
thats it, isnt it
So old
but all have been in the NBA for so long
they know how the game work
westbrook being 32 is still pretty good
but that man has MILEAGE
oh lol i forgot AD hes 28
but ya hes AD, he dont count. dudes body like 40
Yeah lol
loool
This team could work really well or get injured easily
and i still bet u
he has more confidence
than half them players
dude gives no F's lmao
They're either old or young
Think he is 20 exactly
Ad is also under 30
,
.
Lmao that's true
i didnt realize monk was so young lol
He was drafted by the Hornets not too long ago
so it made sense
Didn't think he was drafted that young though
dodgers play the cheaters in their home for the first time since the scandal with fans
the reactions will be fun
I expect something akin to Joe Kelly fireworks
we got buehler going today
and scherzer tomorrow
we have everyone on the team healthy except for trea
this is the best we can give HOU
Is he still pitching at an elite level?
very much so
Surprised that the nationals were willing to trade him
he just has weird phases like when a reliever hit a GS off of him lol
but other than that, elite
but our actual most elite and should actually be cy young pitcher is pitching today in buehler
been so amazing
only hope the offense shows up when needed for once
only decision buehler has lost in 3 years is when cubs no hit dodgers lmao
including playoffs
hope we can win another for scherzer and kershaw (and pujols)

Did you watch raw or see the highlights
The amount of punk and Wyatt chants
They can't edit them out either
Free agent F Markieff Morris is finalizing a deal with the Miami Heat, sources tell ESPN.
I thought you were a Patriots fan
I am just saw it on the TL yall brought up Lance
heard about the chants but I missed the show, what part was the chants?
During when Goldberg came out
They were so loud

You can hear them in the beginning of this video
ah
lmao as expected of chicago
Old man Vince and doing petty shit go hand and hand. Like Luffy and Meat.
We gotta gold an old fart to fight the champ again
Instead of a talent that we made the headliner and made him lose time after time for established talent
You hear the reports that the WWE dry snitched AEW to mainstream reporters?
"We don't see AEW as real competition!"
They have been real competition ever since Sami mentioned them
The best part is that if the reports are true, then the WWE might have just boosted AEW's popularity. People cling onto controversy. As Eric Bischoff once said, "Controversy creates cash."

It isn't like aew has a lot of WWE alums or anything
But also just alot of independent people too
And they are allowed to work at other promotions too unlike wwe
Like evil uno and Cassidy fought at pwg earlier this week
You would never see any wwe person under contract be able to do that
And now they are pretty much doing 3 shows a week just like wwe
I hear they can't even Twitch stream under their WWE name. Which IDK how that's legal considering WWE wrestlers are independent contractors.
Technically 4 with dark included
You got dark elevation, dynamite, dark, and in two weeks rampage
The only thing I hate is that any time a wwe wrestler is released people are like omg the new dark order leader
Like brodie will always be the leader
I swear it's like a meme at this point. I once said in 2013 that this was the worst year of WWE TV I've seen. And ever since I said that, it feels like it get's worse and worse.
Hey, it get's people speculating and watching the show.
The dark order stuff
Yeah but they clearly have said that no one will replace Brodie but like new members are fine
Like hangman
Raw is so bad
Yeah, I don't even pay attention to Raw or Smackdown anymore. I know Cena is back there and that Roman is being a good heel 3-4 years too late.
SD good tho esp with Roman
But nontheless Cena is an ok replacement
I swear being sent to Raw is like being sent to hell.
At this point it is
that roman clip so funny cuz it's 100% the truth
Heyman, you work for them. Stop spitting facts!
All former indie people
Heyman has so many stories of doing shit and getting away with it
Him and punk were almost able to get away with anything
It's gonna be nice to see Punk with a mic again.
It is gonna be great
I think him vs Darby, jungle boy, and andrede are gonna be amazing
And of course omega
The only people on raw worth watching are ali and mansoor
CM Punk threatens to walk out of WWE with the WWE Championship unless Mr. McMahon agrees to his demands for a new contract.
"That's the problem, you don't give a damn. And my problem is I care too much."
That quote hits harder now.
albeit most past their prime
but still good to see
it'd be a shame if they lose.
I'd be rooting for them if they played the Nets.
makes sense
you guys posting randy in here made me think he had a whole lot more HRs this year than he has
yea he didnt blow up
as much as one would have thought
after the postseason
but hes been good
Florida on top per usual
Chad Mottola isn't exactly the best hitting coach either. Willy Adames and Hunter Renfroe join different teams this year and both of them have been hot at bat.
all we want is wander
Wander has been getting hot at bat. Not homeruns but a hell a lot of doubles and triples.
thats good result
He needs to work on his fielding though. Lots of mistakes.
tampa has been spoiled with title teams
Could be worse. You can be Boston.
Did you know there are 2 year olds out there who haven't seen a Boston team make a championship game?
let them suffer more

Already saw this.
I hate Indians pitching. Every damn game Abreu got hit by a baseball at least once.
I actually yelled at my TV on the Sunday game when Abreu got hit again.
He took it like a MVP. Went right to first base like it never happened.
The worst was that La Russa run.
Other than that La Russa tried to get the ump to warn a pitcher on Sunday. But that's about it.
