damn
Anyone watching the NBA finals
yuh
Bucks looking good
bucks started off strong
Pain for suns fans
bucks defense has been great
Suns coming back
ye
Bucks building a brick house
Milwaukee looking really sloppy to me so far
brook lopez a bum
Good game ?
yea its pre close rn
word I’ll pop it on then
Lmaoooo
😭😭😭
Tie game after 3

these refs man
Cp3 better not complain about Scott foster after this game
Bro
wow giannis been eating booker
Giannis is a fucking monster
Elite
Bucks are so damn good defensively
ye their defense is amazing to watch rn
Pressure bro
man giannis deserves to win this
🇬🇷🇬🇷🇬🇷🇬🇷🇬🇷
giannis cooking
Suns 🥴
was rooting for suns but giannis has been spectacular
3 away from 50
they better not waste his efforts
Giannis just taking over
same but it is what it is
Feel bad for Monster, wanted the Suns to win for him
Giannis is an NBA champion
yep thaTz done
sold like a mf
giannis deserves that ring
He does
suns lost 4 games in a row lol
feel bad for cp3 tho, this was his only chance
yep, pain
probably wont get this close ever again
I'm very happy
Giannis sonned them

💀
50 and 14 ridiculous
Happy for Giannis
cp3 frauding it up again
Jonathan Givony interviews Giannis Adetokunbo in Athens, Greece on February 13, 2013
This was Giannis
Such a fucking king dude
✅
deserving
they really went from down 0-2 to winning the next 4 straight
suns jus chocked
not gutted a dirty player never won
Suns did not choke
booker was annoying this series too
They just didn't have an answer for Giannis
They had a 2-0 series lead and then lost 4 straight, that's a choke anyway you cut it
always
I'm not trying to take anything away from Giannis, but it is what it is
Legit cannot wait to land in Athens man
When I went there last time I got to see the park he played at as a kid
They had a huge mural of him. My people love him so fucking much this means so much to us
Expect to see the bucks tweet a video of Greeks screaming
Glad it was at home in Milwaukee as well
Congrats to the Bucks. First pro championship in the state of Wisconsin (That wasn't the Packers) in over 50 years.
they adore him
Not gonna lie, the Suns really choked away this series.
They might be back, but they pissed away a premium shot to win their first ring.
413
Yeah good luck next year cuz uh, yeah..
Road won't be this easy next year
I gotta give Giannis all my respect though. I enjoy seeing a marquee player who doesn't take the easy way out, handles the disappointment and criticism and then mans up when the shit's on the line.
yep
One of the best finals performances
me too buc
he's the type of guy who would as well
Him and Yelich.
just one of the most humble players I've ever seen
ye gotta respect. the way people keep saying he has to leave the bucks to win
proved them wrong
Got surrounded my the right pieces
I still find it funny that the people at ESPN find the city of Milwaukee shit. Now they have to deal with a NBA title in that city.
Jokic got this year's regular season mvp, but giannis got the finals mvp and was 2018-2020 mvp
I can only imagine as the Media and ESPN are triggered that a small market team won a title.
Future 🐐
Congrats to the Bucks on the title
Jokic probably barely scratches the top 10 players in the league lmao
Small market teams winning is always a nice thing for any league
these nets fans are salty as hell
injuries are a part of the game
and i agree
i have a soft spot for small market teams
Stacked resume at only age 26
Lakers will win the next 5 straight dw
Yea bucks are a small market team but they didn’t spend like one
First ballot Hall of Famer already
They gave up four first rounders for holiday lol
A small market team won 2 straight Stanley Cups. And now a small market team won the NBA Title. Cmon, baseball. Your turn.
No small team in the NBA can’t really afford to “spend”
Tampa's small market.
Tampa is 100% considered small market
Compared to other cities.
it's smaller than both Orlando and Miami
and that's in one state lol
definitely small market
tampa is 13
still has 2.05 million people
Everything outside the top 10 is considered small market.
actually is tampa smaller than orlando?
boston is considered a big market and it has 2.49 million people
im not syaing tampa is a big market
but its not small market either
its middle tier
Also, that's combining two cites. Tampa and St Pete.
to me places like milwaukee, cincinnati, kansas city, buffalo, new orleans, columbus, baltimore, pittsburgh, san diego are small markets
well they are right next to each other
the rays play in st petersburg
there are only 664k people in new orleans
congrats to the bucks 👏
there are 1.16 million people in pittsburgh
healthy lakers next szn
well baseball you only win by drafting good or spending a lot
or both
the most recent small market team to win in baseball was the 15 royals
How happy is Tom Grossi right now?
beat my mets
Ayy
football there is no such thing as small market
if we being real
football is the best sport for parity
Gets kicked in the dick by the Packers routinely but now gets to see a championship again
Football and Hockey really don't have small market, big market philosophies because of the hard cap they have.
Holiday was definitely the defensive MVP
for sure
lol
well hockey there is a difference
canadian teams get taxed more
so they arent as lucky with free agents
its sad
Hard cap exists mainly because of that Canadian tax.
Think he missed like two shots all night from the line
There's a reason Quebec and Winnipeg moved in the mid 90's.
they became the avs and coyotes right?
Yes.
Glad Giannis got that ring, such a good guy
Devils.
pittsburgh is def a small market
they were getting screwed
i remember the penguins almost moved before super mario saved them
thanks, forgot who they became
I think it was either Vegas or KC they thinking of moving to.
vegas is a good market
kc would have been a nightmare
definitely would have to move again
thank god mario saved them
penguins are a top 5 franchise now
in nhl
Who knows with KC. Especially in the salary cap era.
I'm so glad the NHL is getting into the Seattle area. Because I've wanted that forever now.
there were NBA teams also in smaller markets
kansas city kings
syracuse nationals
buffalo
fort wayne zollner pistons
buffalo bisons became the clippers
I still think Buffalo needs one more chance with a basketball team. But that's not happening.
It's gonna be Seattle and Vegas most likely.
i think the A's might be moving to vegas also which is crazy
oakland had 3 teams 5 years ago and in 2-3 years they will have none
Oakland be like, "Oh, that's fair. You steal my football team first, now baseball?"
the raiders had no business moving
the A's are being cheap
they want taxpayers to foot the stadium
raiders should have stayed in oakland, its a damn shame they left
The Raiders should've been in LA actually.
You would think they played in LA whenever they face the Chargers.
From what I heard, that city is at rock bottom at the moment.
the only LA team should be the Rams, Chargers had no business moving there
and yeah I heard too
You think Oakland got fucked. Boy, San Diego.
At least they have the Padres to disappoint them come playoff time.
lmao padres might be one and done
best hope they win that division
my mets are fighting for their life right now
I miss when the Mets were owned by clowns. The laughs were glorious.
Nah, that's Seattle.
Still haven't made the playoffs since WCW was still a thing and One Piece was still in the Alabasta arc.
they're going to make a run
LOL
true
they got unlucky though some years
barely missed the wild card
Seattle fans have nightmares of Moneyball.
are you a mariners fan?
They see a A's hat and asked deep inside. "Why?"
I'm a Rays/White Sox fan.
Fuck Stu.
actually fuck reinsdorf also lol
The only reason I like the Sox in the first place is because of that thing that the Rays may move one day.
And yes, fuck that cheapstake Reinsdorf too.
Yeah, still don't think that's really happening. Stu can try, not happening.
The players wouldn't agree to it.
itd be weird
the only mlb teams i dont like are the yankees, dodgers, and red sox lol
the rest i dont mind rooting for if they arent playing the Mets
I can't say I hate any teams personally in baseball compared to Hockey or Football.
who do you hate in football
The Saints.
I'm a Bucs fan.
lol
i just dont like how brady is paraded as the greatest player ever
his fans are cult like
The Saints have a bunch of unlikable players.
I hated Drew Brees as a player for so long because he always beat the shit out of my Bucs.
lol
tbf the bucs would have been better early if jameis winston didnt throw a million interceptions a year
they definitely could have been a threat in 2019-20
Famous Jameis Bakery.
The sad part is I was a Jameis Winston Stan before 2020.
i think brady gets too much credit for this bucs team
anyone that didnt throw a million interceptions could have won a ring with this team
tony romo on this bucs team
He probably does but after seeing Jameis blow 10 million game winning drives the last 4-5 seasons. Just seeing Brady bring the Bucs back from 20+ points twice last year was refreshing
the bucs defense is the MVP
bailed brady out against the Packers
and i agree
brady was a definite upgrade
it was in the works for the bucs
ah man, Bleacher Report made a fullmetal alchemist edit but with CP3 in it and I'm dead

The Bucs defense had a lot to do with that SB win. But at the same time, the defense only did so much better because the Bucs offense scored 31 points.
the bucs defense murdered that swiss cheese makeshift o line the chiefs put out
it also doesnt help that kelce and hill choked hardcore
the chiefs werent winning that game for numerous reasons
andy reid's son, one of their coaches, almost killed a kid with a DUI the day before
vibes were bad
Remember that the Chiefs had to go for it on 4th down multiple times in the second half because they were down by so many. Let's say the Bucs offense wasn't clicking that much as it did. Let's say they score 20 points. The Chiefs score FGs on those 4th downs and suddenly it's a 20-15 game.
it was a dumb game
easily the worst super bowl i have ever seen
besides seahawks-broncos
You don't see many blowout games in the SB these days.
very true
more parity
its usually a lack of preparation or bad starts that cause blowouts
I say it's more because the league has become more offesne base compared to the blowouts of the 80's and 90's.
Defenses were a lot more apparent
Remember the Pats were in a SB in the 80's. You wouldn't knowing that the 85 Bears Thanos snapped them out of existence.
technically theres still another two brothers
but yes, give me more Giannis content
pats rams was worse
Oh that one too.
pats rams wasnt a blowout though
the rams were 2 brandin cooks catches away from winning that game
dude dropped both touchdown passes
I remember Seattle and Pittsburgh SB was just refball and that was frustrating one to watch.
I noticed the two SB titles the Bucs have come from blowouts.
I was too young to see the 02 Bucs though.
the first game was stupid
i was too
but rich gannon threw 5 interceptions
one of them being a pick 6 at the end of the game
I love seeing that Tim Brown drops an easy pass and Sapp or whoever goes up to him and says."You waited over 13 years to do that?"
He did something in 2015 I think. I can't remember what he did though.
Something about assault or something.
anyway, i hope the bucs dont win again this year
sorry
but these brady fans are gonna be uber annoying
if you had any other guy i wouldnt mind yall winning
Trust me, even with the SB title I'm always have that part in my mind that the Bucs will return to the basement.
they are a tom brady injury away from being a 7-10 team imo
but thats every team
losing their quarterback
except those eagles
We have Kyle Trask now. Which BA compared to Brad Johnson. That's great, it's like i'm back in 2006.
Wasn't he the one that won the game for the Chiefs against the Browns?
yeah
Henne.
with his miraculous run
wait
shit
who was the qb for the bucs
oh blaine gabbert lol
i mix up former jaguars qbs
sad
That's Blane "Super Bowl Champion" Gabbert
More rings than Dan Marino and Warren Moon combined.
which is why i cant take ring arguments seriously ever
100% will happen
You can see in the post game interviews how much it means to him to win it with the team that "believed in him"
This might be the worst question ever asked in sports journalism by Rachel Nichols https://t.co/4NedACXc50

Early word is #SeaKraken are closing in on contracts with two UFA defensemen: Adam Larsson (EDM) and Jamie Oleksiak (DAL).
Not finalized. But barring any last minute change, the expectation is those players will be the selections from #Oilers and #GoStars.
@DFOHockey
Good work @Frank_seravalli. Larsson has signed a 4 year deal with the Kraken. $4 mil aav. https://t.co/TwIO0VWNP7
Seattle picking 2 UFAs off the bat? Or maybe they had EDM trade Larsson in a deal that SEA takes a certain guy ?
Official: the Seattle Kraken picks have been handed to NHL central registry.
Best striker in the world https://twitter.com/squawkanews/status/1417846006058786817?s=21
got robbed of the 2019 Balon dor
she bagged like near 50 goals that year. what more could she have done lol
Not sure how much interest the #Sens have in New York Rangers centre Ryan Strome. He's on their list but so are several other centres.
@dim ledge
GIANNIS
Hearing Mike Smith is returning on a multi year deal to the Oilers
Joke. Comedy.
"HOLLAND GIVE ME BACK MY LEGIONS!!!"
Ken Holland is basically the Simpsons of hockey GMs at this point. Has so much legacy early on; only to decline into a zombie state in it's later years.
so proud of giannis
after all the talk that he made the wrong decision
and the bucks pull through for him
especially in the ecf
suns couldn't get that injury ring i don't expect them to get this far next year
(sorry cp)
Fucking Ken Holland
3 weeks after having his knee go the wrong way, he's finals MVP, amazing
First title in over 50 years. Now people will know where the city of Milwaukee is now. Especially Stephen A Smith.
fucking fantastic
I expect more ESPN visits to Milwaukee lol
lmfao
McDavid is playing Mike Trout simulator at this time unfortunately. My favorite hockey player not named Kuch is fucked.
they are useless. Katz is a worthless owner with no ambition or balls
it’s just so sad. Regular sports fans need to know who he and Leon are
Katz only cares about the 80s.
Well, Gary Bettman and the hockey world already do a terrible job promoting their stars.
In the US at least.
I can tell by his hair
"We may have a literal zombie from the 90s as GM, but remember the times of Mark Messier and Gretzky? Those were the times."
does anyone hire worse GMs than Daryl Katz
Buffalo.
Pegulas are definitely knocking on that door
I don't know how that team still have fans.
Imagine misspelling Dave Andreychuk's name on a jersey.
It's sad when Tampa has more respect for Dave Andreychuk than the team he's most known for.
Lifting the Cup helps to be fair
Man, he Pokemon evolved
but I get your point
This is just sad.
so damn happy for him
and the front office pull through too
jrue is a defensive demon
Okay so I looked it up. Since Katz took over he hired Tambellini ( no playoff appearances ), MacTavish ( no playoffs ), Chiarelli ( lol ), and now Holland
l o l it’s a comedy
Chiarelli made Garth Snow look like a genius. Nuff said.
I heard Seattle wanted younger guys, so I'm not too surprised.
As much as I love Price. That contract is terrible.
Driedger 1, Kahkonen and Vaneček are my other 2
Driedger is gonna be glad he doesn't have to face the Lightning in the playoffs again.
Joey Daccord is another option for Seattle at Goaltender.
Saw that it’s their most likely pick
The Pens trying to erase the mistakes JR made his last few years.
"We won two cups with speed, LETS ADD GRIT AND TOUGHNESS!"
Sources say #SeaKraken also passed on another high-profile, big money player: Vladimir Tarasenko.
Subject to change but sounds like the selection from #stlblues will be Vince Dunn.
@DFOHockey
Good move, I had Dunn as well
IDK how you don't take Dunn.
Only if they were confident in a good deal for flipping Vladdy. But I agree, this was a cakewalk pick
It's sad thinking St Louis is gonna sink into the ocean like a Devil Fruit user. At least they have cup to hold onto for dear life.
Saint Louis has to feel a bit better now though. At least they can trade Vladdy on their on and be done w it
Seattle takes Cale Fleury off the Habs.
His brother Haydn Fleury was selected by Carolina in the 1st RD when Francis was GM there. Interesting link.
woooord, I didn’t have him but I understand that pick. Montreal didn’t have many options that fit Seattle, so this makes sense
Toronto will be losing McCann
I like McCann more than Kerfoot honestly.
This expansion draft is so much more exciting than the Vegas one for some reason. Lots of good pieces exposed.
Yup I agree. I think more teams realized it’s just better to lose your player and move on
I don’t get the vibe there are elaborate trades. Philly with Voracek is still on the table though
NHL cannot be happy with the leaks lmfao, this is going to be Vegas 2.0
Tampa's not getting any trades off the table either. Imagine losing Gourde to Seattle and then lose Coleman to Seattle in FA. That's unlikely gonna happen but damn.
Yeah that bites man
but could be a blessing in disguise
very biased bc he’s from my city but protecting Černak was the right move
I think TyJo may have a comeback year without Gourde being there but who knows.
Lucky bastards.
“ getting the impressing “ at least
Expect a two-year deal in the $2M range. https://t.co/eTSCDFdwtW
memes
Mike Smith deal.
Know some fans are wondering about this…but hearing SEA did not reach an agreement with Gabriel Landeskog.
easy, we knew that one
NHL really needs some promotion from Flex Tape. Need to cover those leaks.
this was bound to happen
NHL knew better. “ yeah let’s have them hand in their picks at 10 AM ET - OH OH and then let’s wait until 8 PM ET to announce it. What could go wrong ? “
It could be worse, you could be the 92 Sens with a Laptop.
i mean, I'd still watch just to feel the vibes of NHL hockey on ESPN for the first time since I was 5.
sometimes I wish we just got the Canadian feeds smh
but hopefully ESPN isn’t anywhere near as bad as NBC was
Sportsnet and TSN can be hit or miss sometimes too IMO.
Sounds like the three goaltenders selected by #SeaKraken will be Chris Driedger (FLA), Vitek Vanecek (WSH) and Joey Daccord (OTT).
@DFOHockey
Frank is fucking on fire
You called Daccord and I called Vanecek hehehe
Ha.
unironically better than Edmonton goaltending
And they haven’t even played a game in Seattle
Okay can all insiders stop leaking info for one day please and thank you.
I'm trying to have hope here. LMAO
I'm waiting to see who they pick from the Ducks. I'll be sad if it's Fleury.
SEA taking Lind from VAN
I had Jacob Larsson as my ducks pick
“ Edmonton wasn’t outbid on Adam Larsson, he wanted a change of scenery “
Giordano confirmed. Taken by SEA
When the Devils was less hell for someone than a team located in Central Alberta.
From Taylor Hall to Adam Larsson to… literally nothing
Seattle took Twarynski from Philly. Wow. No big contracts ( minus Gio ) so far. Seems like no trades either
In addition to Free Agent’s Adam Larsson and Chris Driedger, hearing the @SeattleKraken have signed 3 more Free Agents.
Appleton as WPG pick. Nice one - WPG was bound to be hurt by this one way or another
Yeah, I was expecting them to pick him.
Hearing the #SeaKraken preserved more valuable cap space by passing on Ryan Johansen and Matt Duchene in Nashville.
Belief is they will select Calle Järnkrok instead.
Good !
don’t help Nashville. So far… them not having a high cap seems to be on the money. Seems like they stuck to their guns
Stuck with overrated ass Matt Duchene. You reap what you sow, as they say.
did it get leaked who they took from the leafs
McCann
really? huh
yup
guessing for his cap hit
cheaper and younger than Kerfoot
feels weird to trade for a guy only to lose him right away
The report on Saturday was that Pittsburgh and Toronto knew that Seattle wanted both
so they made the trade to protect each other. Pittsburgh didn’t lose McCann for nothing and Toronto only losing one of Kerfoot / McCann
Donskoi seems to be COL pick
Geekie from CAR / Lauzon from BOS
Picks are flying
True from SJ / Soucy from MIN
Domi staying in CBJ. Bayreuther the pick
Assuming we get full confirmation on Dunn and Eberle.. I count Seattle having 10 D right now. Also, ANA, CHI, DET, NYR, and TB not yet leaked
kinda sucks that a lot has been leaked already
makes the actual expansion draft not that exciting
Currently hearing that the Seattle Kraken will be selecting the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Expansion Draft tonight.
stealing the thunder and replacing them with the seattle supersonics
Haydn Fleury - sorry @dim kettle
Damn.
Just when I think I couldn’t be happier for Giannis more things come up and I’m like damn he deserves this
The 2021-22 @NHL Regular-Season Schedule To Be Announced Tomorrow.
Details: https://t.co/MQSywSNpYD
speculation NYR are trading for Mark Giordano
Dammit
The #49ers and LB Fred Warner have reached agreement on a five-year extension worth more than $95 million with $40.5 million in guarantees, source says. The first-team All Pro is now the highest-paid inside linebacker in the NFL.

@proud coyote
There we go
Deserved
Big oof for Indy fans though when Leonard gets extended
Cause it’s gonna be around the same number for him
If Francis really took MacD without making Blake pay him to do so, Francis should be fired.
If Blake paid Francis to take MacD...he may need to be fired.
Kevin Durant fans will try to discredit Giannis’s ring this year and then turn around and claim this was ok.
KD was very happy for Giannis
Why wouldn't he be. Dude pretty much took the eventual NBA champions to the brink with Blake Griffin and the injured James Harden. That series in retrospect just looks better for him.
This win only brings one (should be obvious) question though.
Why is Michael Wacha still on the Rays roster? He's total dog shit as a pitcher.
Sorry
I meant Kevin Durant fans***
Not KD
Sorry, KD def doesnt give a shit which I respect
His fans are cancerous though

same with Daniel bryan
And Jay white is gonna fight kenny
Imagine all of them in a 4 way match

Giannis the real legend
haha
Dreger on TSN talking Hyman: "We know that there is communication with the Edmonton Oilers. What is this deal going to look like? There are some who believe that it could reach upwards of 6, 7 years, maybe north of $40M believe it or not."
C o m e d y
Clown show
A part of my room’s wall is complete.
nice
What channel is the expansion draft airing on, NBC?
ESPN2
Ty ty
Hahahahaha
He sounds so dejected
I've never seen a performance in a closeout game for a championship that was better than what I witnessed last night. https://t.co/dxPM4nYhkk

men's footy olympics start tomorrow, might peep but these times tho 😟
Navy blue and powder blue are a good combo
There's Fleury from MTL
Is my sound messed up or is it the feed?
Good
Lol Macklemore looking like a middle aged Hispanic man
Werd. Trouble shooting time.
As expected.
One contract off our hands.
this dude is trying to make as many rivals as possible.
Welcome to ESPN
These jokes, man...
Is their whole schtick fish
Looking like there's barely a cloud in the sky out there
Like even it the temp isn't that high that must suck to be a fan out there
I dunno. They live in overcast and rain most of the year. I'd guess most are super excited about it.
haha
Dumbass.
This NHL Expansion Draft broadcast. Is it just me or is it really cringe-worthy?
301
Carolina Panthers Expansion 2024 confirmed.
Gorgeous kits
They called them the "struggling" New Jersey Devils.
Missed the playoffs last 2 years, defensive issues.
Says he doesn't mean to, these are just facts lol.
Hot damn that away jersey is clean
Bro those away jerseys are sick
Hold up, I can't quite make out the logo in front.
haha
I would love Tanev on the Kings.
He's a great pick. Easy fan favorite.
He's got such maniac energy. haha
Love his self awareness too
October 23rd is the Kraken's home debut against Vancouver
The dude call them the Mighty Ducks. I don't blame him. They're still the Mighty Ducks to me.
that logo is massive
They got another Fleury
That Fleury pick hurts me inside.
Which one, the 1st one?
The Ducks one.
Ah
All I got to say is, Fuck Bob Murray. And that's all.
It's gonna be weird seeing Mark Giordano in a different uni next year.
oh jeez this sucks
Well, at least their unis looks nice
if kerfoot is worse than mccann next season going to be pain
Thankfully though I don't quite see them competing for anything anytime soon like Vegas has been doing
Nah. Francis seemed to not learn much from Vegas.
it seems to be a pretty tank worthy expansion draft
But, we still haven't heard of any of the side deals or trades.
I suspect any player that wasn't there in person is likely to be traded.
24 people are likely to be traded?
You see, we don't know yet. I remember the Vegas draft and thought they were tanking. That's why they got all that draft capital.
But, I don't seem much capital here.
Is the NHL Draft more like the NBA's with a lottery or like the NFL's where it's dependent solely on W/L?
Not without knowing about side deals/trades.
NBA's
Cause, MacD from the LA KINGS is not worth shit.
They could have picked a number of other players with some value.
It's like the NBA but the NHL Lottery is a lot more fair to losing teams than the NBA one rn. The lottery is still stupid though.
Gotcha
The Sabres are gonna pick Owen Power and ruin him like most of their draft picks recently.
...you can make better picks and trade them for draft picks and still save on cap space
idk
OR just select better players with more possible upside to trade later, that still have low cap hits currently.
Yeah. I don't know either. Super confusing.
looks like they went for straight up cap space
and didn't consider doing trades to get it
But, again, they could have picked three better players over MacD from the Kings and still saved on cap space. (Just LA as an example given I know the team better than the rest)
That's ignoring Olli Maata as an option due to his $4m cap hit.
Francis seemed to overwhelmingly favor players with ties to Seattle.
That's the only pattern I picked up on.
Only thing to explain overlooking better players, beyond avoiding a cap hit (which, I still don't really understand when you could just trade them for draft picks and lower cost players)
Getting a player like MacD isn't hard to do.
You don't need to use a pick to get them.
But, I'm just an armchair GM.
haha
Which player are you sending to Seattle, @Panthers?
541
4645

haha
God, they're just roasting ESPN rn.
Think Brian Burns could be a decent hockey player, he's big and fast as hell

The absolute madmen
Both fightful and ringside
Are saying he signed
And that punk might sign
Also Chavo is representing andrede
https://twitter.com/wyshynski/status/1418032940488003593?s=20
Not sure this bodes well for Seattle and side deals/trades linked to the expansion draft. haha
"Teams weren't willing to make the mistakes they made last time." - @SeattleKraken GM Ron Francis on not being able to leverage the draft rules as Vegas did.
387
In another Kraken thread:
haha
he also might have been charging way too much
Yeah. But, that doesn't explain giving up on negotiating for SOMETHING.
It also doesn't explain taking players when better ones are available. Like, MacD from LA and Quenneville from Chi.
That statement from Francis reeks of incompetence.
Also, regardless of what the other GMs may have learned from Vegas, there is a unique opportunity in a flat cap era where teams are drowning with little cap space to maneuver with.
That's something no one has really dealt with before.
Seattle were in a unique position with 0 contracts and 0 players to really use that as an asset in making deals.
It is sounding like Francis didn't do anything really regarding that opportunity. But, again, maybe I and others will be proven wrong tomorrow--they are just really good at keeping it all under wraps.
I miss Tanev on the Jets and I’m sure as hell gonna miss Appleton too
I'm glad I get to see Tanev more now that he is in the Pacific. I would love for him to be a King.
He’d be cool as a King
Pretty sure he would be cool on any team. haha.
I like him on the Kraken. I think he'll have a great time playing a role on a new team.
He sure seemed to be having a blast when the camera cut over to him at random times.
Gio seemed super emotional but, was a total pro and putting on a good poker face.
Yeah Tanev definitely deserves the ice time, I seen him back and forth between the NHL and AHL for the Jets and he was a fun player to watch develop, same goes for Apps
Right on. I'll try to pay more attention to Appleton.
Plz do! He’s a 6th round draft pick and this year he was really starting to break out. If it weren’t for Seattle I would’ve loved to see him stay as a Jet but with that being said I’m also happy Demelo is staying.
cough
What happened to Deshaun Watson lol
is he playing this season
Is he getting the death penalty
Like what
Complete silence
his trial is tomorrow i believe
or in 2 days
depending on what the verdict is
he will be released or allowed to come back to dodgers
they cant however release him rn because of the MLBPA
yea most likely will never pitch a game of baseball ever again
and my dodgers need him so bad rn too with kershaw hurt, we have only 2 official starters
but would never want a man like bauer on the team
how do people have such free time on their hands
Looney Tunes ring, doesnt count
They confirmed the investigation then huh?
that’s because he hasn’t
Will be retired at the age of 25 at this rate
Let my man sleep
Should just get first 3 weeks of domestic off
richarlison bagged a hatty lol
We finally get to see the rings tonight
@simple seal
Can confirm the Edmonton #Oilers have both 7 and 8 year contracts agreed to with Zach Hyman. EDM and TOR are working to execute a sign & trade which will pay Hyman 8 yrs. at around $5M. Salary comes in higher in middle of contract and includes some no move protection. #Leafs

Edmonton please
Sorry siren I didn’t see you posted
Or Balkan rather
It's okay lmao
Okay so I understand Holland’s thinking in a nut shell
Getting a guy who was primary linemates with Marner and Matthews should translate well to McDavid … but it’s gonna blow up on them like everything else does
5 million is fine for him. But for 8 years? Get the fuck out of here with that shit.
You better hope there’s also no NMC or NTC on the contract
which lets be honest.. there probably will be a NMC smh
Hearing #seaskraken will be trading Tyler Pitlick to the Calgary Flames. Draft pick going the other way. #cofred
Marc Bergevin says Shea Weber has several injuries (ankle, foot, knee, thumb). "Even missing a practice for him wasn't an option. He has a lot of mileage...He won't be back next season, and probably won't be back for his career."

That’s sad. Shea Weber, warrior to the end
T minus 50 minutes
hyman's good at what he does
but that's way too long for him
Only Wing fans can sit back and laugh at Ken Holland's decisions so far this year.
Then immediately get depressed looking at their roster and the damage Ken did to them for years.
sure its to maximize the next 4-5 years but is mcdavid going to resign if its just a mess right when he's considering it
To be fair to Edmonton, if they don’t show ambition and start winning now.. they might as well not even think about re-signing McDavid
Supposedly EDM is the front runner for Dougie Hamilton
Have been told that Lou is looking to bring both Parise and Suter to the Island.
Yeah, Edmonton is in a tough spot. Unless they can find a way to be creative with trades, which they are awful at doing, they don’t really have a choice but to over pay for free agents. If they don’t over pay then it shows McDavid and Drai that management doesn’t care
Tough spot
T-minus ten minutes
feels like they're building their team like an nba team
two guys and just get a bunch of guys around them
Honestly @celest zephyr that’s a fantastic analogy
Lou building the ultimate 2013 All Star team right here
True lol
The Oilers will show us you can't build a team like a NBA team in hockey.
🙂
Oilers have kicked tires on Ristolainen LOL
Gostisbehere to Arizona
BOMB ALERT
Hearing Detroit is acquiring goalie Alex Nedeljkovic from Carolina
@TSNHockey @TheAthletic
Has to be a sick return. Dude just won Calder and is contract controlled.
Sorry third in Calder ****
https://twitter.com/friedgehnic/status/1418261341928935427?s=21 bro lmfao Edmonton just signed Mike fucking Smith when they could’ve traded a third rounder for this guy
Per sources, the Coyotes are close to completing a deal for Flyers LHD Shayne Gostibehere, who has two years left on a deal with an AAV of $4.5M.
7 and 8 years...woof.
Return is a 2022 2nd and 7th (STL pick originally) https://t.co/6L3kIuOhrF
Flyers did very well
haha, fuckin Oilers, man. Wow.

A tribute to Yanni Gourde as his Lightning career comes to an end. In his first full NHL season (2017-18), Gourde found the back of the net 25 times; a franchise record for goals by a rookie. He would become a key pi...
Gonna miss you, Gourde.
This is what I was saying about Edmonton not being creative
Instead of calling around for a young goalie, they decide to keep Smith….
Also Flyers gave up picks in the Arizona deal, they got nothing in return but cap space
The Oilers after extending McDavid and Draisaitl:
Just awful
I wish lol
I’m sorry but I’m sick of Arizona
they are useless. cap dump hockey club
You'd still find a way to not win a cup for the Rangers.
no I’d purposely be the Devils GM to make sure i would destroy them
Arizona will be in Houston in 6 years time.
Unfortunately true. But if they get new owners then that’s acceptable
Cause this cannot continue
Every GM knows they have a “get out of jail” card in Arizona
I still find it a myth that the people in Arizona don't care about hockey. No, they don't care for a team that's only been a winner for 2 of the last 12 years.
I remember when they brought Wayne Gretzky in...
As HC!
Like, the Yotes brought the failure and stupidity of the old Jets.
Well said
If the team did more than just eat bad contract then maybe people would care more
Goodrow contract official soon
Six year deal
I always have to explain this to people. People in states like Florida and Arizona don't care for losing teams to pay for overpriced tickets when there's so many options to pay for the entertainment dollar. If Buffalo or Cleveland had hot weather it would be the same thing.
That makes sense
Goodrow was bound to get a raise after the last 2 playoffs years.
Yeah honestly I’m not bothered by it
I'm sad my team is losing good depth but when you win 2 straight cups, the pain numbs a lot.
NYR are a historically bad face off team. They haven’t had one player be over 50% at the dot in maybe a decade, and I wish I was joking
haha, yeah. It's not so bad being a kings fan while they suck post cups than it was before they won.
Hey, the rebuild for the Kings is going smoothly though.
At least better than the Ducks,
Seems like it. We will see what happens next. The next 24 months will really show what Blake is all about.
It's a 𝑮𝒐𝒐𝒅 day on Broadway. 😎
Welcome to #NYR, Barclay! https://t.co/6eMq3Oa00I

nice
Did they get the ESPN guys to make that pun?
Friedman on @WGR550 today talks about the #Ducks as the one team he believes has really circled back in on Eichel. As I said Tuesday on the same show, the one team that was flirting with that possibility was in fact the Ducks as they sit on the clock with the #3 pick

Dominic Moore is the admin confirmed
Dude I said it a while back - Anaheim is a great fit
Bob wants to be a relevant GM once again so bad
I'd like Jack to be in black and orange but I'm afraid of just how much would Bob give up for that to happen.
If they get Jack and keep Zegras, it’s a massive win
#SeaKraken are trading Tyler Pitlick to #Flames for a 2022 4th round pick.
First trade in Seattle Kraken history
The details on this is ridiculous. Waddell is trying to make Francis look less incompetent by comparison. haha.
I’m shook by that trade tbh
Also Reddit is absolutely roasting the Rangers over the Goodrow deal. “Next buyout candidate” ahhh lol nothing new to me
I don't even pay attention to r/hockey anymore. Lots of salty people on that page.
apparently they only offered 1.5 mill per year
which is just dumb
You know Suns v Bucks was a pretty good finals
Out of the last 10 years the only good finals were 2011, 2013, 2016, 2019, and now
I liked 2014 just cause I liked how the Spurs played lol
In the MLB, 2011,2013,2014,2016,2017 2019,2020 were all pretty good
for hockey, 2011,2012,2013,2015,2016,2017,2019 were all good finals
Don't you know, a NBA Finals is automatically bad if there's no big market teams playing or Lebron isn't playing according to the media and ESPN?
I would say 2014 given OTs but im a rangers fan so fhsjajwmmsdk
lol
i have a soft spot for small market teams
Its always fun when they succeed
Giannis went fucking off, and just after missing 2 games with an hyperextended knee
Thats why in hindsight, I dont mind that the Royals beat my Mets in the 2015 World Series
like for 3-4 years I was devastated
But now, id rather it be the Royals than it be the Yankees, Red Sox, Angels or Astros lol
There's always 1994 to talk about.
I know the Rangers organization won't shut the fuck up about it
What pisses me off is that we had the lead in games 1,2, and 5
Just like how the Mets had the lead in every game of the World Series
That was the most Metting WS I saw. Like wasn't the first hit by the Royals in that series an Inside-the-park home run?
10/27/15: Alcides Escobar leads off with a fly ball that deflects off Yoenis Cespedes, allowing Escobar to record an inside-the-park homer

I think we should have just let Matt Harvey die by the sword in 2015
Familia already blew 2 games that series lol
Plus our defense was shit
AKA, A typical day in Met Land.
Very typical
Ive been a fan since 2012
i honestly forgot what it was like rooting for a team with zero expectations
Because thats how life was like 2012-2015 entering the season
2016-now everyone always picks us to make the playoffs and be contenders lol
2018 could've been mistaken as a summer comedy special on Comedy Central.
Lol
Mickey Callaway with the lineup card
I remember Jacob deGrom being thrown around a lot in trade talks if they werent extending him
Last night, me, FivePointsVids, Brandon Perna of ThatsGoodSports, and KevinMichaelVonMagnum (A loyal supporter of The Dumpster Fire) were doing predictions for the upcoming NFL Football season. At the same time, the New York Mets were playing the Washington Nationals in a crucial game for their playoff hopes. With a 10-4 lead and a 99.9% chance ...
