The team which would be batting first goes. you have 20 overs and each over has 6 balls. The batting team bats until the 20 overs are done or all the batsman are out (they have 10 in total). What they get as total is the target for other team to achieve.

there's two batsman at once. One in strike and another in the other side.

The bowler bowls. Speed and spin are their friends. The batsman has to score runs. One run would get the batsman in strike changed. Two runs would have same one in strike. 4 runs is scored when you have a boundary with a bounce. a 6 is achieved when you have a boundary without any bounce before crossing the boundary.

There's multiple types of outs. One is you hit a ball and the fielder catches it. Another is run out, when you are running for a run and before your bat with you holding it lands on the other side (there's a line marking the sides), a fielder hits your stumps, you are out. There's also Leg before wicket where the ball hits your leg/knee part and not the bat and the software determines the ball if it didn't hit the leg would hit the stumps. There's some more technicalities but that's not as necessary.

and uhh. there's stuff like Wide. essentially a bowler bowls the bolw in opposite side of your arm/facing side or makes it too far that your bat won't reach. your team is given 1 run and that bowl has to be done again. There's also No ball which would get something called Free Hit. Free Hit means you can't be out by having the fielders catch your shot, but run out is still possible.

bowlers are changed after each over. Each bowler can bowl at most 4 overs.
