I always point to 3 things for why the Jets haven't made it back:
1 - They hire nothing but defensive-minded guys as HC. Since Rex Ryan in 2009. They've only hired one offensive-minded guy as HC. One
2 - Hyper-focusing on the defensive side with premium draft picks. And not even good ones most times. You're in the modern NFL. Offense matters more. But the Jets have to do stuff differently because reasons.
3 - Not getting the QB right. That one is obvious though.
