I think Guehi being so close means that he had the ability to force it if he wanted to, especially with Parish wanting to sell. To just say "yeah sorry but I want this and I've already done everything, it's time". However, I feel like part of the fact that it collapsed was that it was promised to him he could go in January while they spend the next few months finding a replacement.
You also have to consider that with this being his dream move that a whole year of waiting is uncomfortable. 4 months is much easier to swallow and above that gives Parish (albeit less) the £ he's seeking from a sale

It's so funny that Petrino is back at Arkansas as the Offensive Coordinator and QB Coach. Considering a bunch of rumors surrounding Pittman retiring, Bobby Petrino might actually have a chance to be the HC again after that whole scandal.

I guess your favorite Jim Harbaugh really is only the special case besides Pete Carroll but he had some issues at New England and left USC in a mess despite its high success. Jim’s the only one I really remember handling the transition from college to nfl well. Even Nick Saban didn’t succeed. @proud coyote
