I'm very uninterested in this QB class outside of Cam, and even he's basically just another Baker Mayfield if everything turns out right - not much to be said here. Brosmer is legitimately the closest QB to Jimmy I've ever seen and I could see us picking him late in the draft if Kyle likes him lol.

RB:

1. Jeanty
2. Omarion Hampton
3. Treveyon Henderson
   Niners guy(s) to watch: Henderson, RJ Harvey, Skattebo

RB is pretty deep this year, and knowing Kyle that means we're picking one in round five at the latest. But who?
If they want to get a day 2 guy:
Henderson is insanely good imo - would fit very well in our offense and produces everywhere
Day 3 guys:
RJ Harvey - we met with him multiple times and he's quite a good fit for our offense. Very quick back who's great as a receiver and horrible as a blocker, would be used in a ton of random roles I imagine and I'm honestly assuming we'll be picking him.

Cameron Skattebo - one of those ridiculously strong RBs who comes around every few years. He's been all over the highlights but the dude is quite slow lol, but he's an attrition guy so it doesn't really matter in the right situation? surprisingly good hands and good in blocking, so he's not a liability on third down situations in packages where the RB is just there as a dump off and jammer.

WR:

1. Tet McMillan
2. Luther Burden
3. Emeka Egbuka
4. Matthew Golden
5. Jalen Royals
   Niners guy(s) to watch: Golden, Royals, Elic Ayomanor, Roc Taylor

WR is weird this year as I feel like there are some steep cliffs between tiers. Unless something crazy happens, my dreams of a first round WR are sort of out the window sadly, so Tet/Luther/Emeka/Golden are probably not in the cards. Golden I think is going to rise further but I bothered putting him in the Niners guys to watch as he just looks like someone Kyle would pick from his tape.

Other than him, Jalen Royals is absolutely a name to watch though, and I could see us picking him in R3 if he's there for us. Small school guy but he's an insane route runner and has craaaaazy instincts, he's kind of like Aiyuk in that sense. Biggest knock I have against him is that they're TOO similar, I don't think he'd be useful in our offense if we weren't utilizing him in the exact same way as Aiyuk, and Pearsall already has some manner of overlap with Aiyuk so I dunno if Royals is the pick to make here.

Elic Ayomanor has been in 49ers circles for a while now and John Lynch was like, weirdly forward about his interest in him lol. This guy is a hilarious player to watch the film of as he literally never phones it in, the opposite of deebo - he seems to actually try harder when he DOESN'T get the ball lmao, best blocking receiver in the draft probably. I'm worried about injury concerns (tore like everything in his knee at one point) and his general lack of anything but speed and physicality but once again, he has 49ers written all over him - could see us reaching for him.

Roc Taylor is a random guy we met with that had no hype so I looked into him, he's basically just Ayomanor again? Similar physicality and similar strengths/weaknesses, if we pick him it'll be late day 3 but I'm expecting it if we don't go for Ayomanor.

TE:

1. Harold Fannin
2. Tyler Warren
3. Mason Taylor
4. Colston Loveland
   Niners guy(s) to watch: Fannin, Taylor, Jalin Conyers

We're going to pick a tight end and I have no idea who it'll be. Fannin is my dream and if he slips to the 3rd (has been lately), he's 1000% the pick. He's actually a really good blocker, which everyone seems to be knocking him on - like, I think he's definitely better at it than Loveland even despite the size concerns - if he was at a bigger school, I'm confident he'd be a first round prospect. Gets separation at a very high level despite not being particularly fast and is amazing after the catch.

Warren is a good, all-rounder tight end who's going to start day one and be picked day one. Not on our radar.

Taylor is pretty underrated imo. He's going to be in the league for a while and produce. Very solid at everything like Warren but not quite as good, I think he could absolutely start year one even if it's in a limited role. Son of HOFer Jason Taylor lol.

Loveland is just Gesicki again - where does the hype come from? I'll never understand it. He’d fill Jauan’s role in our offense but we’re not going to pick him as he’ll go in the first.

Jalin Conyers is a guy we used a top 30 on surprisingly (also used one on Fannin), big beefy stocky dude from the south with a jolly face. Quite athletic for his size and runs well, blocks well, just didn’t get much playing time throughout college. Could 100% see us picking him.

OT:

1. Armand Membou
2. Kelvin Banks Jr.
3. Will Campbell
4. Josh Conerly
5. Charles Grant
   Niners guy(s) to watch: all five dudes above, Josh Simmons, Jordan Williams.

Not much needs to be said about the top three guys. They’re all good and they’re all only going to be available at our first pick - and of the three, I really only love Membou who at this point I feel like is 100% the pick at 11 if he’s there. He’s absolutely perfect in our offensive scheme and is an athletic freak - I think in certain schemes he’d work better as a guard but for us he can do whatever. I really really like him.

Campbell is also freakishly athletic and is also a pretty safe pick, I think. Everyone has been freaking out about arm length and I will say it does come into play at times, he has trouble keeping guys off of him and is probably vulnerable to more physical speed rushers like chop robinson or something.

Banks will be good, but I think he’d be better in another scheme as I have concerns about his run blocking. Dude is so fucking big out there lol, basically the only tackle to neutralize Mason Graham.

Conerly is another freak with ridiculous athletic metrics for his size. He’s kind of like a higher ceiling, lower floor version of Banks? I don’t really want us to pick him either but if we do, it’s because we’re changing our offense around the idea of what he could be.

Grant is a super athletic and quick tackle who’s an insane run blocker, but is pretty lean? I think he’ll need to put on some weight lol but the guy is like, super super quick for a tackle. Very absurd burst, a late day 2/early day 3 guy for us.

IOL:

1. Donovan Jackson
2. Tyler Booker
3. Tate Ratledge
4. Jared Wilson
5. Grey Zabel
   Niners guy(s) to watch: Jackson, maybe Zabel? Ratledge(!), Marcus Mbow, Jared Wilson, Luke Kandra

I think the guard class is a bit shallow actually, and it’s further hampered by Tyler Booker not fitting into our offense at all, but Donovan Jackson is QUITE good. If he’s on the board in the 2nd he should be automatically picked, and we should consider trading up for him if he’s around at the end of the first. Very smart guard and has great instincts on when to move up to the next level.

Tate Ratledge is the most underrated man in the draft. This guy looks like a prototypical offensive lineman and plays like he looks. Reminds me of old Alex Boone and would be very effective against the sort of players the Rams have been drafting lately, I like him a loooot. I think we heavily consider him in round 3.

Mbow is another r3 guy and I like him, very much a zone guard and he moves quick enough for his size. Him vs Ratledge is dependent on what sort of offense we want to field going forward, something more run-oriented favors Mbow (to be sure, Tate would still be very good in a run-centric offense).

Jared Wilson is the best center in the draft and another r3 guy. He’s suuuuper quick for his size and just kind of runs around a bunch on every play? His film is funny. I think we should pick him but I think we’re sticking with Brendel another year lol…

Kandra is an early day 3 guy who I could see us picking if we haven’t picked a guard already. Slow but athletic and moves up to the next level effectively. I wouldn’t hate drafting him and I think he’ll be an alright pro.
