In today's NFL, you need to take full advantage of that rookie contract and you need to see as soon as possible if the QB can be that guy or not. And also helps build the roster around him.

Do you think professional coaches and staff are unable to see whether someone is game-ready during practice? Does it not more imply that often, when a QB gets a chance to start, it’s due to the fact that their own merit showed they were at the level to perform prior? And that of that sample size, teams that had the opportunity to start a player other than the rookie, the rookies would skew far more successful ? I don’t understand why you feel like you can definitively say any of this without insight into the level that NFL execs/coaches/staff feel that non-game activities are relevant. And if you believe they’re poor at deciding this, why do you feel like you have the authority? Your results-based analysis?

The thing is, while bigotry of any sort should be called out, that does happen with antisemitism. Probably more than most other forms of bigotry. I walk through life supporting the teams I do holding it in the back of my head that most of the players on most of the teams I like probably don't care for queer people and openly poke fun at them. You and I both know it's a thing in jock culture. Granted, calling someone a "fucking Jew" or something definitely also happened/happens as an insult, but look what happened with Kyrie. Deserved 100%-but when's the last time you heard of players having significant public outcry against them for being homophobic/transphobic etc? It's accepted and common in sports to the umpteenth, especially in this current climate.
