However, i think there was a good reason to tie performance to that award just because the nature of the sport. Injury and near death is something NFL fans use to experiencing. Yes Damars was the most tragic in recent memory, but there is a pretty fine line between a player dyeing in some scenarios and the ER team basically shocking them back which is actually so common people don't even think about it. I think the national media buzz around the situation is probably why there is more arguments because i think they were more complaining on the NFL getting their PR machine rolling.
