That’s also why extending young players is so valuable in the nhl
Cuz if they outperform it then they will give amazing value for that cap hit
And why teams really want to give longer term deals: to drop the cap hit and have the player for longer
@rustic mountain like look at jarnkrok and reilly’s cap hits
Either way
I think the Caulfield deal is a good one
I think he and Suzuki are primed to do well with each other
I think its ballsy but it’ll work out in the end
Ofc i am praying that he’ll flame out there and then a team in the west trades for him only for him to ball out there
Who for caufield?
His contract
Yes
How much?
7.85 mill per year for 8 years
Yeah for sure
We gotta give Tage and the boys a new deal
If that guy’s on 7.85 then we gotta give 15 to all our boys appart from ukko pekka
Good luck in your next team kale
Spo never getting coach of the year is absurd
About to sue the nba
Doc rivers was on the magic?????????

oh my days
yeah finished league
I saw it when they announced the new change, I prefer the old one
The 2023 AL East might be the best division ever
2 L's
The worst team in that division is 30-29
Sources: Kyrie Irving has reached out to Lakers star LeBron James in attempts to see if James would come to Dallas. Irving is a free agent this offseason.
2167
402
???
I don't understand is LeBron not under contract lol
1991 AL West
And Twins of course won the WS
He still is lol
That time that the Twins and White Sox were in the west
Damn lol
The way the divisions used to be aligned was weird
Yep
Yeah this is before the Central divisions were made in 1993
Just like the NHL had divisions named after dudes
Imagine
The WS used to be over by mid October back then lol
So weird they had a 4 team division and a 6 team division for so long lol
Hell Cincinnati being "in the west" is weird
Like just move on damn
Chicago teams being one in the West and the other in the East lol

this is so funny
shoutout to kyrie for trying
seems like it
they can pay him more
although he'd probably need to take a pay cut for lebron to join so...
what a weird situation
That’s what I don’t get. LeBron isn’t even a FA
What could Dallas even give LA in a trade
Maybe like two picks and a player
I’m not overpaying for a 38 year old unless I’m a sure fire contender. Dallas isn’t that right now
a kyrie/luka/lebron big three would be so weird
Hasn’t been good in a very long time
I don't disagree, just those Magic days you were referring to
He was actually a good coach
And he helped the Magic over acheive tbh
I wasn’t even born then so didn’t know
Nah it's cool
Yeh looking at that roster it was some ass
He just at one point knew ball
That 10th pick could help though
They’ll trade it
No point in developing a player with that pick
True. I wonder who they could get with that
Honestly they should dump kyrie’s ass
And use that money to sign a good player
Idk any decent starting caliber big
you're right
They really need a centre
but it's not happening
And developing one takes years
@hasty basin
Look who’s in midfield
Glad yerry is getting some minutes as well. It’s been a rough couple of years but the best is coming
🚨NEWS🚨We have hired Greg Cronin as head coach.
Cronin brings 36 years of prior coaching and player development experience, including 12 years as an NHL assistant coach.
115
First experience?
Still says Bournemouth for him

He’s coming because of his season at Bournemouth
I’m sad he chose palace of all people. I know he wasn’t going to get too offers but I hoped for something decent at least
Better than Kalvin Phillips
For sure
The Colorado Eagles' coach? Interesting.
Only 2 teams left looking
I think Calgary will look within for their coach.
No Gallant?
I think the Flames want to go cheap after giving Sutter all that money.
Agree
Motherfucking Brighton MacAllister goes 50 mil cheaper than Caicedo
If there's a club I hate doing business with it's Brighton
But hey congrats on your new midfielder 5 more to go
Ain’t it three? Flames bluejackets and rangers
Oh right Babcock is with the bluejackets
@rustic mountain
Oh boy we got a guy who bottled his last head coaching extension as our gm
This isn’t going to be a fun time
Brighton are bugging
We’re almost done
Both teams will hire prior to the draft
I could see the leafs going within
Maybe promoting praham
And booting out Keefe
I pray Keefe isn’t the coach next season
Better selections than brasil tbh
Richarlison isn't playing shit and he is was called up
It’s an ok selection, a lot of youth but we don’t have enough spark. Diaz is the only guy in there I could comfortably say he’s a star
That isn't necessarily bad (not having many "stars")
I also can’t have a team without Ospina
but he’s injured
If it was by the amount of stars on a team Brazil or France or Spain would have won the world cup
But none is rough. I miss tjr days of prime James and Falcao
Before the injury I had high hopes for Falcao
Still a legend though for the country
With all their injuries, Falcao James and quintero were only on the field once together. During the 2018 World Cup. It was tough to see
Still remember that England Colombia game

Shameful days
Losing to England on penalties was the worse day of my life. How can someone be that bad
Fucking what why
Omfg
@thorn hornet anyone you fancy?
I'm shocked madders isn't on the list
God damn the Leafs piss me off. Fire the dude who wasn't the issue, then extend the dude who couldn't make a line without matthews and marner in it to save his life
I'm on the verge of jumping the sinking boat that is cheering for the Dallas Maverics
On my way to bandwagon to the team with the best jerseys
Who would that even be
OKC, of course
OKC deniers
There is no way i could ever do that, but if i allowed myself to jump boats like this i would def go to OKC
I just don't thier jerseys are all that great
Plus, I think what OKC's owner did to the Sonics is punishable by eternity with zero rings
Think of the poor fans
Do forget that you know SuperSonics fans
Seattle connections and all
I live here so
Must have been interesting for that 2014 Super Bowl
And if the Sonics come back, I'll be jumping on that train
Seattle and New England.
Yeah they weren't my friends then lmao
They got to steal one of the OKC players away
Ahh. Bliss.
Probably the happiest day of my new england fandom
Yeah but something about beating the Legion of Boom and living here
And shutting up Sherman
Idk it was nice
Any spoilers?
I think you're in the wrong channel friend
Panthers win the Stanley cup
carolina panthers?
Spoilers? Jokic is good at basketball
Bryce young about to cook the league for 4,000 yards and 35 tds
SPITTIN FACTS
He is alright
Not quite on Duncan Robinson's level yet
All wank
Tielemans ship has sailed too
Maybe, just maybe Tete if Nelson doesn't extend
Maddison signed a new deal recently so thats why
He's gonna leave 100% anyways
They need funds
And Madders doesn't want Championship football
ah i see
yea tielemans is wank bro i been saying it forever
i was shocked by how many arsenal boys wanted him
After a long ass time i finally managed to get my hands on a 49ers jersey
Ewwww not the bosa one
Yo slick
What do you mean he’s the goat
Fuck him
Vinny is a Michigan fan
Great ball player, poo person. But I digress
Ohhhhh
But as far as I know Bosa also is a bit unsavory
But idk much
Welp
He is but I won’t get too into it. The jersey is slick
Ah well I can use it as a blanket for how much it cost me
Sources: Kyrie Irving has reached out to Lakers star LeBron James in attempts to see if James would come to Dallas. Irving is a free agent this offseason.
46966
6305
Seem that
actually fuck you
That’s not happening
Already posted
get double posted
Nah lebron ain’t leaving
Lmao
ofc not but the audacity of this man
Told ya Kyrie is the worst
Kyrie such a hoe 😂
I truly despise Kyrie
Kyrie is the worst
Same, man is a nuisance atp
Tbh we didn't know Xhaka would have a better season than him lol
Tielemans doesn't even have any fight bro just accepted his fate
Nick Bosa has quickly turned into the most talked about 49ers player before even taking a snap in the NFL. The 49ers' No. 2 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft has caused plenty of controversy with his activity on social media. But quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo says that won't cause an issue with the team.
Yeah uhhh Ruh roh
Not the best
If he does this shit on the team then well I guess it can be a very nice doormat
Socks reveal
What in the world
His girlfriend is also a trip….exposed for multiple uses of a word she shouldn’t be saying
Dw the Nba 2K Mygm story said I got you to Seattle fans 🙏
this is from 4 years ago
You tha real mvp
it be like that though. when you're raised in certain environments you say shit because its what you know. i absolutely dont agree nor support what he said but given the team hes on and who his comrades on the field are i cant imagine he truly holds those beliefs anymore
You mean you don't use articles from years ago to reinforce your dislike for players now? What are you, an adult?
he was held accountable and took responsibility for it
people are free to still give him shit, it may be deserved, but as far as him as an individual i think hes largely moved past it
which really is all i can ask for
im a pan guy who likes a handful of sports. I know for sure that most people on the niners likely freely used the F slur when they were growing up and in varsity/high school/college
it sucks, but its what society presses onto people and they absorb it and use it. then they grow up
But yeh this is the jersey @dim ledge
Bosa still a poophead imo, Sherman said a solid piece on him though years ago which I mostly agree with.
When you play football, as a player you just maneuver around it all
yeah
Your entitled to your own opinions and who you like/dislike, taste is subjective
ill also say that alot of players i love in any sport likely don't support the things i do politically and socially. i just kinda came to accept it
Yeah. Knew guys like that in high school and college, we just moved around it all
He's still a fantastic player and fun to watch
It's simple but it's clean
Can make the argument they should add some more gold to it though
i have my two niners kits and i want one more but idk what to get
the blaccouts are kinda...meh
i just NEED a cmc jersey
Yeah those all Black ones were a bad idea
natural leader too which is like
He isn't off the walls character wise like Ray Lewis was as a player but he has some personality to him
criminally underrated
Still jelly SF found him in the 3rd round
Always get jelly at draft steals, can't help it
It's more so luck you find those kinds of guys but still, when you do you have to be at least a pinch miffed your own scouting department didn't see it
it'll really be ironic if Lance ends up a bust considering all that
100% this. Hence why I am liking more and more the blank hockey jerseys thing
im 50/50 with named kits because i agree with what youre saying but like
I know tons of players don't support who I am. They are just doing a job. And that's what it is
Only thing is numbers look nice and there are exceptions. Crosby for sure is one
For all intents and purposes Crosby seems really cool and nice
okay, lets consider Mo Salah. I'll preface it by saying that from what I've seen he's actually quite socially progressive and has done like, alot of things that coincide with my beliefs
but with his upbringing I think theres a chance he doesn't agree with what I agree with insofar as LGBTQ issues
and that sucks, if its true, which im not saying it is
It would not shock me at all
Really the entire tenure of ShanaLynch is downright mind boggling to me, they've had some bad misses in the draft but their hits are just so grand and the fact that they've turned SF into a consistent contender gives them so much slack when things don't go right, and they deserve it
And it actually seems like Jed York has learned from his numerous mistakes he made early on in his tenure as the SF owner by just letting the guys he hired do their jobs and not step on their feet, which is rare for owners nowadays it seems
but yeah. I dont really lose sleep over it anymore
and like I said from what i've seen. I actually think Salah may be on my side about that sort of thing
I always get the vibe that everyone wants to be like a Jerry Jones and get all the credit for when things go well, but acting like that as an owner opens you up to all of the criticism in the world when things don't go well, deservedly so imo
Yeah just gotta separate them
all of this reads very well and I am pretty happy that its worked out
Only thing San Fran can’t draft is a fucking d tackle
Red 49ers jersey is the best for me
Maybe the white one but idk it looks too plain
And just doesn’t feel right
The blackout ones suck
I mean they had one in Buckner, decided they'd rather pay Armstead for less and traded him to Indy
That’s why we poached one
Imo Buckner is probably still a top 5 DT in the game rn
Armstead is alright in his own right, but I'm sure I could name 10 Edge rushers and/or 10 DTs I'd rather have over him
I am a bi man who did theatre and was a nerd and a weirdo. I know alot of the dudes I watch in sports woulda picked on me in hs or would actively hate my sexuality and who I am. It's reality sadly but I still love the sport itself ya know?
It's not like sports has ever been or will ever be an exact science
He can and could play DT, but he was better when he got time at end
I still would've kept Buckner over him personally
He’s a tweener in a 4/3. Buckner is great tho yea and was solid at DT when he was put in that role
Gotcha
Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert delivered some good news about his status for OTAs on Monday.Herbert, who underwent surgery for a torn labrum in his non-throwing shoulder in late January, said the plan is for him to participate in 7-on-7 drills at this week’s OTA practices, according to multiple reporters on the scene. While Herbert has been ...
Good shit
Was just typing about him
Lol
I am a Herbert Stan
And yes I will be re-using that joke once he gets his big money deal from LAC
Damn shame his career will be wasted by the Chargers but that man will be well compensated for being 2nd best to Mahomes for his career
First dude in a while to join the regular rotation
Cool to see
And for a franchise/city we haven't seen represented, always nice to see
Let’s gooooooooo
Herbert agenda coming fast
Know it's to his non-throwing shoulder but injuries throw off your mechanics
2nd best in the afc west
Can be big, can be small, but it effects it
Not exactly a high bar to reach tbf
Well he ain’t better than Allen or burrow
Burrow no, I think it's at least starting to become debatable between him and Allen
So do I, all I'm saying is if Allen doesn't knock it off with the high turnovers vs Herbert getting cleaner in decision making the gap between them is gonna keep getting smaller
Man the old guard have really fallen off. No Rodgers, no Brady, no wilson, no Bree’s
Indeed
To me i don’t think its debatable. I’d just give the edge straight up to Allen
It's weird and kinda sad at the same time, but change is always the name of the game in the NFL
If Allen wants to be Favre in all the ways including not being able to win in the playoffs then yeh
Yeah it jus feels weird to see the guys i grew up seeing in nfc championship games and superbowls gone or washed
We're getting old
For sure
Kimmy when do you turn 19
I inquire because I need to know when we are going to be drinking our sorrows away when the Leafs implode next year
drinking age at 21 is such a bs
You are well over grown up enough by that point
Lucky Kimmy is Canadian
i reckon most of this chat is in their 20s
My to be brother in law just turned 19 in Canada and he had to learn the fun of pacing yourself while drinking
i'm in the middle of my 22th year of existence and i've been drinking (moderately, only socially tbh) ever since i was 18
Most people I grew up with started at around 14
I had to learn this on my highschool days (nobody knows how to do that, in fact people do the opposite) and i had some bad experiences LOL
I knew one kid who started smoking at 11
Shit man I feel it. Though it has been a blue moon since those days for me
Also, the older i get the more i'm into beer rather than any distilled liquor
It's just not for me, and i can pace myself much better and clearly with beer
Nope
I am old
Born in 2003
I’m into dark beers and strong alcohols, I can’t handle cocktails though. They make me sick
2003
This is a tossup to me every single time, depends on how well or "strong" a certain drink is made and how my organism is on that day
sometimes 2 of the same cocktail get me going and sometimes i need 4
Not a fan of beers
I still remember watching the pats panthers sb in 2003
In my young days at my previous university I drank breakfast ciders at the school pub
Ciders are just legit man
Never drank cider with alcohol in it
I didn't like it in the beginning as well, yet all my highschool friends that said they hated it and would never drink it are now in love with it (and i told them multiple times this would happen lol)
I also live in Washington where local ciders are the SHIT because apple state takes it seriously
I miss those breakfast ciders
i find most of the ciders to be wayy too sweet
and i don't like sweet tastes in drinks at all
I don’t go to that school anymore
Really I’m the complete opposite
But yeah i don’t like too sweet stuff either
I mean you can still drink cider every morning lol
I feel it but idk. I moved here in 2014 and was introduced to local ciders and now I just like em
I like strong alcohols more, when it has too much sugar I feel sick
besides my legit preference to not liking sweet tasting in alcohol i also find it harder to manage my state because its "easier" to put it down
Drinking with a sweet chaser makes you lose track of how drunk you actually are
Ciders and Canadian Whiskey. Idk what else I'd need booze wise besides an occasional long isla d
Island
But it’s not the same at home, I liked going out with friends to the pub after an 8o clock class and have breakfast and cider. Also too much alcohol is problematic
Good vodka's are also scary, they go down so smoothly and well with anything
Vodka I typically avoid tbh
Always down for a whiskey
My father taught me well that clear alcholo isn't for me with his love of gin
God I hate gin
My organism refuses to absorb any Tequila or Whiskey. It is simply not for me
it feels like i'm drinking perfume
Hey they shove Heineken bottles on the screen, it’s normal that booze gets into the conversation at some point
you know, when you accidentally spray it on your mouth
It's a good and bad combination for sports, i would say
Alcohol and sports go together like betting and sports
It's been done forever and now advertised in front of tons of kids lmao
One of the worst drinks out there, also don’t like vodka. Or those pre made cocktails. Anything else I’ll drink
i'm pretty sure it also introduces alcohol to people since it's socially acceptable
But the moment one player starts drinking or gambling they get put down
It's a business that relies on entertainment and brand, also makes it a hypocrite system
Players lose privacy that easy
What Ja Morant is doing is extremely stupid, but the NBA only cares because of the marketing, otherwise it is just stupid behavior
They have the player pose with a betting app and if they use it it’s a ban
i still have a bitter feeling everytime i see Marcelo on a sportingbet ad
he was probably one the best LB players of all time in real madrid
On a side note
Not a bad depth piece for them
i wish i knew enough about this sport
i only know the rules
and what skip bayless keeps glazing about the cowboys
I only know what the chicken does otherwise I’m clueless on the sport
i did enjoy most of the times i saw it
only thing i don't like that much is the amount of stoppages, unless you are watching with a group of people that you can talk with i find it kinda hard to keep focused (if you don't know a lot)
I am used to it by now. American football was everyone's favorite growing up in my town
That’s what we call the centre??? In Quebec
The guy who passes the egg to the qb
Truly my favorite kind of video to see in my feed
The chicken. Huh. Well learn something new every day
Idk if I hate Nick or Skip more
I was a master chicken in high school
I mean if you have have any questions feel free to ask, think any of us versed in the NFL would be happy to answer
I just passed the ball back and then move aside
Slowly but surely he is turning into Asmongold, the Chiefs are to him what WoW is to Asmon
i didn't know it changed depending on the league...
In American football???
Was your team any good??
Where are the Canadian football measurements
I think that's just for the field paint, the size doesn't change
They had to use me because they had no one else
I've been in the america media so long i don't even care about the imperial system anymore, i have a rough idea about the differences lol
I mean Canada uses a ton of Imperial as well. They just get a pass because they use metric for government stuff
it is truly mixed, even in the USA apparently (from my perspective)
at the end of the day everyone has a rough idea of both in the US
Ottawa and Alex DeBrincat:
218
Canada is better at using it for like gas stations and speed signs but to a person most people I know still weigh in lbs and measure in inches
We use metric for most things appart height, temperature, and screw sizes and those types of things
Right so if it is government ran, it likely will be metric
But if not it will be imperial
Where as America uses imperial for government ran things and industrial outfits will use metric and imperial
For bolts and screws I get why it’s imperial because they’re made in America
No one uses the metric system for temperature
Celsius is used by most everyone but America
I still don’t understand why we measure height in feet though
Canada Id say is more mixed up than anyone lol
Michael Malone watching the nuggets panicking 8 seconds after he called a timeout to prevent panic :
NFL = Both teams have an offense and defense, O tries to score as many points as possible (either by having the Offensive player in possession of the ball at least touch the line or fully enter into the Defense's end zone for a touchdown which is worth 6 points, or sets their Special Team unit up for a field goal attempt where they try to kick the ball into the Defense's goal post which would be worth 3 point) while the opposing D tries to prevent that (either by forcing their opposition to punt the ball away or by taking the ball away via intercepting a pass or recovering a fumbled ball), team with the most points at the end of regulation wins, if it goes to OT then first team to score usually wins depending on the manner of score. @calm mulch
Bro is even wearing a sweater tied around his neck like he is some prep school kid
Monster better
Jesus H
We’re just stuck in this world where we do good but still try to mimic the Americans like we’re some cheap parrots
so touching the line awards a different amount of points
Technically yes if you are the player in possession of the ball
"Special Team unit" ?
Canada is like the younger brother who wants to be like America but at the same time doesn't at all want to be like America
It's an odd thing
Are we in here explaining football?
American football
You really got to watch a game and be explained as it goes on. Because it can be long to explain.
Which is unfortunate
I'm learning out of Buc's kindness
So there is a 3rd element of the game called the Special Teams unit, this is where you have a Kicker being involved in football and usually involves 2 specific kinds of formations, if you're trying to score a field goal that it a Field Goal unit, if you're punting the ball away to give the opposing team's offense a possession that is the Punting unit
it's not that hard to understand tbh just watch a couple of games
I watched like most of the commanders game last season and I picked up on the rules
You watch a game and it will start to make sense.
Quebec is even worse because they wanr to be American but also French but also not any of them at the same time
This and watch lurks lessons vid on it
Quebec is so weird to me dude
@calm mulch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ano9wUN2D_E
An overview of the different ways to score in gridiron, or american, football.
So you can decide to not attack because you are scared and just kick the ball all the way back into their touchdown zone so you can then stop their asses with defense ?
Or you can be like the Chargers and go for it on 4th down in your zone and fail.
i mean, you will be winning yards if you stop then fast enough in their field

so it's a form of attacking but with defense ig
Oh yeah they did do that. What about the Leftwich offense play calling
I would explain but Leftwich decided to the run the ball down the middle for no gain
So is Seattle to me
hello
Dan Campbell says fuck it and goes for it all the time
Yo
But he actually uses creative plays
Field position game…I hate it if it’s due to shit offenses 😭
It’s the perfect place for me. People think I’m French based off looks until I speak, and then they realize I’m an American 🥰
You see, when Dan does it, it has a purpose. Brandon Staley is just a gambling addict who can't control himself.
The entirety of Quebec is so against something. Like you have people who want to separate from Canada, you have people who want Quebec to be only French speaking, then Montreal is different than them
Motor city Dan is my hero 😼
It drives me crazy lol
There’s no Canada like French Canada, it’s the greatest Canada in the land
The other Canada es a bullshit Canada
Some say they still think the Soviet Union is a thing.
Sigh I wouldn’t mind ditching Canada some day lol
Maybe I’ll go to Europe
Trade you citizenships Kimmy
French Canadians about to cause a civil war
Come to the states what do you mean lmfao
Nah I don’t like the us either
AHT AHT
You’ll be one of millions
If anyone needs that it’s me
Toronto sports aren’t an improvement
You’re covered you Canadian lover boy @rustic mountain
He can just marry his gf
Too bad, you have a no movement clause in your life contract.
Dang siren
So usually wherever your offense ends up starting you have to gain at least 10 yards to extend your current drive as you're attempting to score, each try is referred to as a down and distance. Drives always start with a 1st and 10, that means you need to gain at least 10 yards in order to extend your current try, if you can't extend your drive in 3 plays usually what ends up happening is you'll play it safe and punt the ball away (this depends on a lot of factors, such as what the score currently is in the game, how much time is left, how aggressive/conservative do you want to be etc), because if you tried and failed to extend your drive within 4 downs and failed to at least gain a new 1st and 10 then the opposing offense would then get to start their drive wherever your* offense last had the ball. For example, if I was at my own 30 yard and couldn't gain enough yards in 4 downs then your offense would take over wherever mine last had, so you potentially could start your Offensive drive at my own 30 yard line and only need to gain a measly 30 yards to score a touchdown and get 6 points @calm mulch
I guess I broke the terms then
That make sense?
I’ve moved 3 times in the year and half
Look at the serious response in all of these jokers
What does looking French mean
Looking like a coward
Canada about to split into parts at this rate lol. Western Canada hates eastern Canada’s guts. Quebec has their own immigration policies
I look like that
So I fit right in
Looking like Marc Bergevin
You forgot an arm punt
PLD is getting traded to MTL in a month watch lmfao
Lunik face reveal lol
PLD is so french he is going to the frenchiest part in Canada
i can picture that, and i already don't like punting
it gotta hurt morale
Trust me, bad teams do it a lot.
Ramos copying everyone on the internet rn
Oh Buc you forgot to mention sacks
Depends on when you punt and who you’re putting on the field next. Iowa football loved to punt last year 🤣
It's the funniest thing in the world though when Punters act cocky after pinning an opposing team's offense deep in their own size of the field to start their Offensive drive
Jake Camarda pretty mich saved the season for the Bucs last season.
Like you just kicked a ball high and somewhat accurately, relax
Don’t forget everyone’s favourite penalty: holding
i mean it was a huge success out of a desperation attempt, since your team cannot score
Donovan smith is an expert
The Donovan Smith special
*Roughing the passer
Idk, it’s a skill for them. The elite ones really do have a way of pinning deep
Damn you pick this up quick
JK Scott in college was insane
Pass interference
I wouldn’t mind talking about it but it’s regarding politics and history so this isn’t the place for it. But don’t worry the new generation is way more understanding. We ask people to adapt themselves the same way we adapt ourselves when we go there
You have to gently let down the qb don’t you realize
That's more the politics of the game you don't need to boggle a potential new fan with that nonsense
I getcha man don't worry. I mean if I really disliked Quebec or anything, I wouldn't wanna visit Montreal next year. That and my gf's family is from Quebec originally so
I just think it is a dizzying place
Yeah that's another part of Special Teams
Kickoffs will phased out soon if they can replace the onside at this rate lol
i mean, yeah i can picture the flow of this game. It is surprisingly simple but with endless cunning and strategy potential (especially if you add individual athleticism that would disregard some neutral planning)
It probably has a lot of minuscule details to consider in this chess game of offense
since it seems like there is unlimited options to score
Oh there are big 300 pound men on defense
there is no perfect defense this way
Yikes
You could spend years learning them
I'd like to think on the surface a casual viewer wouldn't expect that, because every play starts out pre-designed as far as what an individual player is supposed to be doing, but the flow is great
I like to go to Montreal one day. Hell, I even have a random Expo hat.
I got some expos stuff too. Montreal just seems lit
Think it’s probably more deserving of an article when an athlete isn’t cheating on their spouse
Well there are stuff like hot routes and different routes based on how the defense is setup
Indeed
Oh I never said you disliked Quebec, I know you don’t appart from the canadiens understandably. Just that there’s a reason why there’s so much animosity between the people here and the rest of Canada. But it’s getting better, we gotta tolerate each other
Yeah but drama sells, everyone looking for a reason to hate on strangers to feel better about themselves
Oh I just mean cheating happens way more lmao
Like, i would think that you can check if they are expecting a certain play from you if you anyone on the other team is being man marked, all u gotta do is make the dude run to another side and see if the another mf follows him in the other team
Ah, my b
There is infinite possibilies in offense in this game damn
Indeed
Understanding the history of French Canadiens really opens up why things are the way they are
The addition of pre-snap motion (meaning before the ball has the been snapped and the play has actually started) has been a game changer in the NFL
Meaning moving a player from side to side of your formation before the ball is snapped to see if the opposing defense tips their hand at what kind of defensive play they're about to run
And then you go offsides
Fun mental games
i would say this game is simple in the surface level but with huge ceiling
that's what i can picture right now
That’s every sport lol
Yup
When you listen to players break down plays
Basketball just looks like 5 dudes dribbling and shooting a ball into a hoop
It really makes you go oh fuck okay I am a moron
yeah but when i think about american football is that unless you read the mind of the coaching of the other team (or study film) you can't possibly know what the offense is gonna do
Infinite ways to get someone open for a pass
Well you have to study film in every sport
And also not necessarily. Coaches have their own styles and plays they like the run
Film study was a good portion of practice back when I was playing still
Like it’s hard to change your system unless there’s someone new running it
Or your personnel is drastically different
You most definitely can be predictable on offense
Plus you have to have specific call outs for given plays
There so much room for strategy in this game that you can even sprinkle bs pointless moves just to fuck up with the defending side first lol
Or else even your own team doesn’t know what’s happening
this sounds interesting
And you know what's funny is once you really start getting into the nitty gritty of play designs and whatnot that's when you really start getting interest in like scouting collegic players and if they would be good fits on your team or a different team
Well then you just run out of time
It's a rabbit hole honestly
Cuz there’s a running clock
No that’s when you spend hundreds of hours on making a draft guide
i can see individual athleticism just breaking what would be considered a standard play, if a dude can get open a millisecond faster than what most people would
There is that ofc
or he has insane torch and acceleration and can feint* his way out of everyone
It does indeed, but then you're reminded of all of the countless great athletes who flamed out in the NFL because for whatever reason they couldn't make it work as a pro player
i realized my missuse of word lol
Athleticism only gets you so far, you actually have to study and be technically sound to have a long career
Lots of good wideouts say that
Like kupp, Adams jj etc
Even a rocket like tyreek has great footwork and leverage off of the line
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J63p1_IPZ4I stuff like this is fun
When a player shows off his blazing speed during a play. Thank you for watching!
Lamar is Vick all over again
like, i can imagine jokic being the dude that throws the ball and passing people open but scaled up to 200% lol
Praying he doesn’t end up running a dog ring
Vick wishes he was Lamar good
You know what's crazy is that play style wise I really don't think he is, honestly Justin Fields is significantly closer to that to my eye
Lamar is kind of a unicorn imo
Eh fields isn’t as good of a passer
Is that it ? Am i knowledgeable enough to talk shit about teams in the NFL ?
You just need to know one moustached man named Aaron Rodgers
Lamar is truly a one of a kind build. I need man’s to stay healthy
You never need an excuse to shit talk
I’m so bad at talking shit it’s not even funny lmao
Hey so are the rangers
In comp to Vick at the end of his career who actually gave a damn about passing no, but early Vick? Looks scarily similar
NYR will win just like Luffy wins
I remember like 2004,2005 Vick
Through the power of friendship
When dude could do like everything
Become a 49ers fan
Backyard football Vick, such a fun player
Ofc not seeing him live but like the footage
i only know 2 names in the NFL, Tyreek Hill and Tom Brady.
We only have 3
Brady is retired
Backyard Football had so many fun little trick plays, like the magic WR route where the character poofs like 30 yards up the field lmao
Such a shame he was a POS early in his career, what could've been had he not and potentially stayed in ATL
No no be a falcons fan
True men support nfc south teams
That’s why it takes balls: lots of hating yourself, your own team and misery
i watch flightreacts watching the warriors losing so eventually i hear these names. Outside of it my knowledge about American Football is only the rules and what was further explained to me here by Buc
@calm mulch SF 49ers would honestly be a smart choice if you're looking to get into NFL fandom, really well run org that's just at the cusp of potentailly winning a championship again
The easy way out
I know Christian gonzalez tom brady and Manning.
And all of those guys are gone
which manning
how is gonzalez gone?
Gonzalez not lol
Is he not
"Heat winning culture" but in the NFL ?
I forgot he was still there
He just got drafted😭
Gonzalez just got drafted by the Pats this year
wtf there's more than one?
Oh he’s a rookie
You failed
Hahhahahaaha

I thought he was some old guy
A real man picks the coolest uniform and deals if not from America
Elly I think was his name the one I'm thinking of
A real man picks the vikings
I’m okay with the vikes…okay
You passed
Tough call, think of historic org that was once the standard of success but fell to mediocrity for a decade+ outside of a short flash in the pan hot streak
And is just recently gotten back to contender status the last couple years
Eli the derpiest man alive to win a ring
Still hilarious that he has the same number of rings as Peyton
And unlike Peyton he could actually contribute for that 2nd ring
Oh I also know that payton dude
so they're brothers or something?
Wentz has a ring right
but he didn't play
Seahawks remind of the heat the most if anyone at this time
Yeah, tore his ACL like a month and a half prior and his back up took a loaded roster to the proverbial mountain top
and he's a manager now?
He's retired and just doing whatever he wants
I swear I saw a post here not long ago about him
or is there another payton guy who's a coach
Usually comes on like NFL for Monday Night Football simulcasts with his brother to shit talk each other the majority of the time and interview random people inbetween
Sean Payton, former HC of the New Orleans Saints, now HC of the Denver Broncos
oh I think that's him
Brilliant coach, major POS but brilliant coach
wow I know like 5 nfl dudes
more than I thought
@rustic ore
Top 10 offensive mind of all time
what's a POS?
Piece of shit
Piece of shit
Whoever this is .. IS TOAST
great team name btw
NFL reportedly is investigating a current Colts player for "pervasive" betting in 2022 and 2023, including wagers on the Colts. https://t.co/RZVUeVDqUu

Please just don't be Leonard or Buckner, or Pittman Jr
The amount of international Seahawks fans is large as well I believe
I like them
The Germany crowd was insane.
Them singing Country Roads was an all timer moment 🥹
These gambling bans have made me terrified for my dynasty league
Idk what’s so hard about not doing it in the facility 😭
Y’all ain’t got Wi-Fi at the house or something?
BTW put him in the HOF already
Please
Agree
Baseball is very archaic in their mindset
Seriously
Shadow makes fun of the archaic northern hockey team mindset (which is funny in its own right)
But baseball’s archaic mindset is beyond me
Baseball culture is BS a lot more
How dare you look at your homerun for more than 2 secs. Kids ruining the game.
“Did I just catch you having fun?!”
"A 90 mph fastball near your head for you!"
And I love baseball, working at the university level, I have the most time to watch it
But I can’t do much discourse around it
That stuff never made sense to me
And it’s the manager that does it too
Unwritten rules are BS. And the fact that Manfred is so spineless to enforce bigger punishment for players intentionally hurting others for it is a crime and is why the sport is not number one anymore.
And it's always the Texas Rangers that are the ones bitching a storm about unwritten rules it seems.
José Bautista bat flip
Tatis Jr hitting a grand slam on a 3-0 pitch.
Always the Rangers on the other end.
My automatic email reply is on my dudes 🫡 time to party

https://twitter.com/newworldartur/status/1665827314192596998?s=46&t=0dPhD14zL5uzVVpeHRQMfQ I KNOW ITS NOT SPORTS BUT WOAAAAAAAH
That's not too bad.
Not bad at all, good for Goda
Yeah he deserves it
At least it isn’t HxH bad
After the year he’s had I think a yearly monthly break is the way to go
Berserk fans be like
Good for Oda, take some time brother
Betting dang how tragic
Wowwwww another break for one piece dangggggggg
One more chapter then oda is going on a long ass vacation
It blows but at the same time, gib oda a Vacay
It’s good for him
Really wouldn’t mind if one piece went biweekly
Though 3 in a row and a 2 week break would be fine also
Hxh going to end in 2100
That’s ambitious.
need to add juve in there
you need a role
which one
😹😹
any role is fine I think
I love kelce
Meh that’s not bad, I’m glad oda is deciding to take a break, he deserves it.🐐
Oh that bvb thing isn't a car???
I totally thought it was some sorta luxury car brand
Hell yeah buddy,
Top 10 pick here we come
The V stands for vroum vroum
yeah
I mean I don't mind who wins but would be cool for pep
Didn't choose the best year to pay attention to the CL.
no more 1-0 sleepers
Yep
Bayern PSG, City Chelsea, Liverpool Madrid... were all a snooze
I still think 2019 was when the UCL peaked
That’s top 3 right there lol
well I guess last year was alright if you liked Madrid and their comebacks
not me but yeah
Give me 7-0 City and I’ll be happy
Kyrie Irving Lee Harvey Oswald
🤝
shooters in Dallas
helping LBJ win
26008
3900
OH NO LOL
That is a dark joke
8-9 record awaits.
That’s an insane one ngl
Whewwwwwww
Brock Bowers would be nice.
Drake Maye maybe
Bowers a beast, but pats should be lookin at qb if they do that bad
Cause I highly doubt the defense would be the causation of that bad a record
LMAO
Yeh
Don't you put voodoo on me man
Can't be worse than Mac
I don't don't put voodoos on teams. I just speak truths.
Is that the type that they make one new trophy each year?
Liga nos is lowkey my favorite one
I can respect that
idk, it's been the same for years
Also cant disrespect the persona emoji user
tho futaba not best girl

But like Bayern has many times the bundesliga trophy
ligue 1 is aight
Mine is either serie A or Belgium
yeah the belgian one is cool I've never seen it before
What’s the bear league?
Russian league
That one is cool as well
Well he’s a tight end💀

colombian league I assume
Yeah
Bowers reminds me a lot of andrews with a thinner frame
Best day of my life
More of a prowess on those jump balls due to that though
Not sure if he’s a good blocker
But he’s a damn good pass catcher
After Zlatan retirement Buffon is the only player left from the 2002 WC that is still active
Mark Andrews was a shit blocker, why I gave him that comp. He still isn’t that great tbh.
Bowers gives a lot of effort in the blocking category but being 230 he isn’t dominant at it
Andrews gave zero effort to blocking at OU, why he went 3rd round
He also has drops which I haven’t seen from Bowers
I feel like so few colleges that utilize the tight end in their scheme, prioritize their blocking skills. Iowa is the only one imo
Or is that more of an NFL problem now
Seems like they’re TE university
1973-1979 wasn't in the NHL but yeah still played hockey
That is impressive. How do you play that long
Then his last season he played in the NHL again at 52 lol
Andrews always has had a bout with drops here and there, and idk why tbh. It’s like an on and off thing for him
Playing with 2 of his sons those years
Howe retired for the first time in 1971 and was immediately inducted into the Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame that same year. He was then inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame the next year, but came back two years later to join his sons Mark and Marty on the Houston Aeros of the WHA. Although in his mid-40s, he scored over 100 points twice in six years, won two straight Avco World Trophies (1974 and 1975) and was named most valuable player in 1974. He made a brief return to the NHL in 1979–80, playing one season with the Hartford Whalers, then retired at age 52. His involvement with the WHA was central to their brief pre-NHL merger success, forcing the NHL to recruit European talent and expand to new markets.
For good reason tbh. They are the only ones who use tight ends in every way possible. Why they have such complete skill sets coming in
Too bad their qbs are horrendous
That and the scheme itself is outdated. They actually have a decent qb this year in Cade McNamara. He took Michigan to the playoff the first time. But I hate Iowas scheme for QBs specifically. It’s too dependent on the run game
Could do a full breakdown on their trash playcalling from last year
I remember they didn’t like their head coach for the Nepotism he showed towards his kid on the staff?
I thought I read somewhere
Rise easy best girl
No question
Oh futaba is another persona
Right
Guess I’ll have to play persona 5 some day
Ah well I’ll play after i finish reading csm

Very good series. Replaying them now
Yeah only got through persona 4 golden
Makoto clears
I'm rewatching that philly game 7 against the hawks rn
Doc Rivers calling an iso for embiid at the 3pt line down by 4 with 40 seconds left is pure gold
perfectly summarizes how shitty he is as a coach
It’s true, he just moved his son from OC after 2 seasons of being the worst offense in the Big ten
111 and 118 overall past 2 I think
And son is still on staff
How did he reach 52 years and not have the most appearances?
I wonder who will retire first between him and king kazu
He didnt play in the NHL between 1971 and 1979
But this says 73 to 80
He was retired for 2 years
And 1973 to 1979 he played in the WHA
The World Hockey Association (French: Association mondiale de hockey) was a professional ice hockey major league that operated in North America from 1972 to 1979. It was the first major league to compete with the National Hockey League (NHL) since the collapse of the Western Hockey League in 1926. Although the WHA was not the first league since ...
Which is where Gretzky started his career btw
Also where the Oilers come from
Also the Hurricanes by way of the Whalers, the Coyotes by the way of the Winnipeg Jets
Bedard on nhl pregame
Ooooo
This seems like a fun league. What happened?
