If I could bet I would be in ruins
Devils and beating the Rangers in the playoffs is as old as time itself though.
Yeah i think they pull it out
With how the rangers are playing right now
Grubauer legend
Devils favored…may switch to rangers now
The Wings are gonna be scary next year though.
Once Simon Edvinsson get's called up, if what they say is true about him, he's gonna make a big difference for the Wings.
A part of me really isn't much surprised about the Kraken this year. And that's mainly because of people like Yanni Gourde who was an important piece in the Bolts 2 straight cup runs and the depth of the farm there.
Tampa Lightning Forward Yanni Gourde gives his team the lead with a short-handed goal in Game 7 against the New York Islanders.
But always will have a soft spot for Seattle sports
I may be moving to Canada eventually but Seattle will always by my favorite American city
All grey and Nirvana music, baby!
Hey now
We got more than just Nirvana!
Fleet Foxes happen to be from here too and imo are underrated

Just make sure to take showers there.
We just jump in the pacific off the pier
Not all Seattle sports
I like the Sounders look
But I don't care for soccer so it's more like
Just a general blind spot
It is but like
The US cares so little for soccer man it's just how itnis
It is*
I don’t know your other teams but I don’t see any of them beating the sounders in design
Other teams in Seattle?
Yeah
I get it
It’s unfortunate but it’s the world we live in
Can’t all enjoy the beautiful game
Yeah the mls is way smaller
Like even in Canada also men’s soccer is really underfunded
And not a lot of fans
That would be the Seahawks, Mariners, Kraken, Storm for the WNBA, and the defunct but still talked about Sonics
Nba move back to Seattle smh
North America excluding Mexico just doesn't really care for soccer
Yeah they really don’t
Overseas leagues are more popular but aren’t really at the level as domestic leagues
Let me rank them
Like idk nba nfl nhl mlb are more popular
Sure if ya wanna
Henrik my favourite retired goalie
Tottenham disasterclass today
Here Sanjuan. I couldnt find one with the kraken but you already hate them so
Sounders>>>>> storm>sonic >>>>mariners >>>> Seahawks
>kraken
Henrik for president of the nhl
Rest the same
For what it's worth this has a few more when they did pride stuff
Guess storm after
The lion is women's soccer, the seawolves are rugby
Wiaa is the interschool sports stuff
The Mariners trident M imo is their best
What’s a seawolf?
Yeah for sure
I might get the mariners jersey lol
If I was going to get another one
Like this
Killer whale
A seawolf is a
Yeah
Nick name for killer whale
They are pretty commonly used in the pacific northwest
Hence why the canucks use em
All over like first nations art and stuff
So not an actual wolf
The sad thing is I can't even laugh at how the Avalanche got outclassed against their former goalie because the Bruins just completed an all-time epic choke.
Consider yourselves lucky, Colorado.
503
No not an actual wolf
As a member of the wolf community I take deep offense in desecrating the good name of sanjuan wolf like that
@UrinatingTree Bruins and Avalanche when they hit the gold course together this week
I mean you'll have to blame whoever came up with the nickname like
A long time ago
Because the seattle seawolves didnt
I’m going to need a team to call themselves the whale sharks
The Quebec whale sharks when?
Come on Gary
I can’t laugh at any of them tbh
I want to but it would be hypocritical
That's half the fun
I don’t have the right to laugh at anyone
You always gotta point and laugh when someone fails. Even when your team is poopoo
Reserve the right to make fun of any team
Not when my team is garbage
It’s like if I failed a class and then laugh at someone for not getting a perfect grade
Mmmm I think of it as we all signed up for community basketball and we all laugh when one of us airballs
Sure but I laughed at bruins before and then looked back to their season and it reminded me that what they just lived is glory compared to us
Didn’t they lose on 6?
Oh never mind
Wrong kings again
All the time
both kings lost back to back days
Tough days for king fans
that was the only series that went to 7 I think
Gone wear my Denver nuggets jeans today😼
If I see Shamet be the first one off the bench, Nuggets sweep.
@thorn hornet Patino leaving FFSSSSSS
Kinda saw this coming tbh
we can hardly make any promises regarding playing time because we have raised our standards
another Edu masterclass
I get it we're focused on Rice and Caicedo but still this is shitty news
He looked promising
3 years time he’ll be better than both
Got a higher ceiling than them as well
This same fate could have happened to Saka if Emery didn’t establish him in the first team
ESR probs gonna leave too
121 minutes since he returned from injury
Not a single start
Top scorer last season btw
Schemichel VVD Kante KDB Auba for me
Alisson, VVD, Kante, KDB, Hazard
Oh
So like 1 from each
Martinez VVD Silva Fabregas Vardy
They really put cahill on there
Why’s Ceballos there
They just needed someone
VVD Salah same team
Vardy I guess omegalul
Lmao?
Cos they have 2 midfielder pillars
Also Ceballos there because
I'm 99% sure it's from the team that won the FA cup
Like that exact season team
Who even cares about the FA cup
Surprised he started that game
Besides third table fat English people
My point stands
Martinez, Van Dijk, Kante, KDB, Vardy
Yeah it has to be that
Idk if it’s the years listed
Because i might not want current van dijk lol
But he’s still good i guess lol
Hey man
Think it's
I see kdb on there
From the season they won the FA cup
I’m picking him
FA Cup Twitter account need to sack their admin
Cahill retired so it’s definitely not current lol
Yeah lol
So has Hazard
Yea makes sense, just meant like in form
Like no one would take current hazard lol
2018 hazard was good
He’s probably the best players there tbh
All the GKs were and are still decent doe
2020 martinez was his break out wasn’t it
Is he?
Yeah he’s been pretty average for Nice
Ward is horrible
What is ndidi up to these days
Not bad on paper tbf
He's chilling in Leicester
Started some games
Well that's more than I thought
Didn't sub on vs Leeds though
Won’t miss Leicester when they go down
Follow for more shit tweets, and never doubt the chez 🍒 utciad
Did Jose reject us? Seeing people say something
Jose seems to be enjoying himself at roma
He’s made for Italian football
Yep his style generally
Though I still think Italian teams don't fit the stereotypical all defence mode anymore
Oh
Mainly cause they’ve not produced a good defender in years tbh
The league still does feel a bit slow apart from Napoli
I still think of chellini and bonucci
It's funny that the league feels slow
Yet there's a chance all Italian teams win all the european competitions

But one Italian team guaranteed in the final
Though I will say this
Just gotta show up one night
Milan would beat Spurs confidently with Maignan
If I’m Milan or inter, I want man city
The defence actually feels so secure with him
Yes
I don't want RMA in the FINALS.
That's like a death sentence
When was the last time
Man city is our best chance of taking them out
Not this century
1980-81
Juve can’t relate
OOf.
Apparently ATM lost the finals the most
Didnt know that tbh
Nvm it is Juve
I got tricked
Makes more sense
2nd is Benfica
Yeah they only lost 3
Mainly cause one guy cursed them for eternity
Martinez, VVD, Kante, Silva,Vardy
He fell off massively
Injury after injury
Learned how to celebrate from playing a fifa tourney
Behold the ultimate meme! I don't know how the hell they did it, but the Boston Bruins somehow choked away a series against a team they should've beaten in five.
There's no coming back from this. There just isn't. How could you do this to Patrice Bergeron?
Ah Boston choking what a beautiful sight
Well that doesn't exactly scream Panthers confidence
Secondhand market will be there I am sure
But eh not a great look
I wanna see what game 1 brings
What kinda energy they have
I also wanna see if we aren't zoinked from getting the round 1 monkey off the back
The ticket sales thing doesn't really bug me much just weird lol
Common tactic for certain markets, nothing to stress over
It is yeah
Bit annoying for people, who are visiting
I Hope now
Not
But its going to be really hard regardless
Please, there’s plenty of rich snow birds in Florida who know they’ll be able to flip these tickets to leafs fans and make a pretty penny off them
And plenty of leafs fans out there who won’t care anyway, they want to see their team in the second round
Yeah its really going to make them a crap ton of money
Leafs have home ice advantage
While it is lame for those who cant go
It'll be fine
So did Boston and well what happened LOl
100% but we gotta think positive
We beat a rabid Lightning team in their stadium
I don’t watch hockey but a boston team losing always makes me happy
Latavius Murray signed with Buffalo... I'm happy and sad about it
The #Broncos are picking up the fifth-year option on WR Jerry Jeudy, sources say, locking him in for 2024. No surprise, they had plenty of interest from teams wanting to trade for him, but Jeudy is a big part of their future.
137
Awwww I wanted him
Just in from @ian_mendes - Snoop Dogg is the latest name to surface on the Senators ownership bid.

Fuck you
I hope vasi falls off of a cliff next season
And gets hurt getting out of his bed
That’s a weird way to write Jack eichel
Hearing that Darryl Sutter has been let go as Flames head coach.
257
@short flame picks for second round series
Other than Carolina series
Unless you believe Carolina for sure wins
Tbh I forgot Carolina were in there. I’ll have them in a couple of minutes
Only got stars and panthers right. Please rangers win
I’ll go leafs stars and oilers
Are you a bucks fan
If so you don’t want kyrie
Yeah don’t take Kyrie
That’s a trrriblr idea
Plus Kyrie ain’t even under contract
So like they don’t even have to trade for him
Idk Kyrie is good but I wouldn’t have him on my team
Like you need someone he’d actually respect and wants to deal with him for it to work
Kyrie is good but also injured often which wouldn’t be as big a deal if he didn’t say everything that’s on his mind
Yes
And yes I know the deal with him
I still don't know why the Mavs traded for him
Him and Luka are a terrible fit imo
Also I'm interested in hockey and I'd like to start following the sport more, but I have no idea what team to pick
They traded as a desperate move to help luka
I saw there's one with a penguin in its logo so I'm probably gonna pick them
Yeah I get that but did they really think it was gonna work?
Yes
Their offense got better but their defense is poop
I don't remember who said it but offense wins you games, defense wins you titles
And you shouldn’t want kyrie purely for the locker room/media bullshit
I know but who should we get
I truly believe that the only team that could contain his nonsense is the lakers and that’s because LeBron is there
There's no one relevant in the free agency this summer iirc
And we have no picks left to trae
That Kyrie-Bron duo in 2016 was something else
❤️
I don’t think the bucks are gonna make any drastic roster changes
I think we should trade either Holiday or Middleton, or even both
The problem is we have little to nothing to offer on top of them
And there aren't any decent free agents this summer
And we have no picks
I hope Nurse gets hired
He'd work great with the bucks imo
I’ll propose a trade
Ben Simmons and two first for giannis
Who says no?
King
Me watching Jalen hurts restock on offense and get half the goergia defense

Really stretching it with jimmy g
omg this is exactly what we need
I'm calling the bucks front office rn
Ikr
Hey, now. His looks alone gives him an extra 50 points
We'll give you a second as well
The funny thing is I think our next first round pick is in like 2026 lol
And we traded like 5 seconds for Crowder 🏴☠️
In the nba I trust free agency more than the draft
I’m never really interested in the draft
If you draft right you can be set for years
Look at the warriors
Or the thunder in a couple of years
Yeah, because the way the draft works and how college basketball works is broken IMO
Warriors really drafted 2 of the best shooters of all time. Within 3 years
Astronomical luck
Also speaking of the draft I'm 100% convinced the NBA will rig the combine to not let a small market team get the 1st pick
No way they'll let Wembanyama go to the Hornets or something like that
Reminder the T-Wolves could've picked Curry twice.
Wym? Genuinely wondering
Shit I’d be sad too if wemby went to the hornets
Or astronomical intuition
Because it's a one and done BS with players
Wemby to the pistons!!!!!
Johnny Flynn>>>>>Curry ngl
They should just be able to declare out of high school
The pistons are another team he won't go to
He will be a piston
He's going to either the Spurs or the Rockets imo
I’m a believer
Harden comes back to the Rockets, Udoka goes there
Let them either come out of high school or if they play college ball they have to play for at least 2-3 years.
Rockets 2024 nba champions
I say high school. Forcing them to go to college for a degree they won’t earn is pointless imo
Many young players are starting to either play overseas or in the g league
These players are coming in too young and they're not gonna change the fate of the organization over night 9 out of 10 times
G-League is an option too. But they need more teams.
Don’t know why the nba stopped allowing straight out of high school in the first place
Because they didn't want another Kwame Brown situation.
Or was it Kwame Brown? He may have been part of group of bust high schoolers
Yeah I’ve just got no interest in college basketball. It’s an inferior product and the best players don’t stick around too long.
As opposed to college football
Still makes zero sense
Think so yeah
Great? Yeah Howard
Montae Ellis was the last good one though
Lou Williams also turned out well being under AIs tutelage
I was so shocked to learn Kyle Lowry was 37 years old yesterday
They allowed high schoolers way past him going #1 tho
I agrée lmao
Like I hate one and done
Really just doesn’t give guys enough time to develop
And teams take flyers on guys they probably wouldn’t have if they had more tape on them
I just think it’s odd to back these dudes even more into a corner
Yeah like one year just ain’t enough to develop in colllege
Kinda the reality of these kids these days are coming to the NBA that aren't as good as they used to be, that aren't prepared as they used to be, and it takes years for them to become that type of player. And on top of that, you're talking about 19, 20 year old kids coming into the league not all are equipped to deal with the challenges of being a professional athlete with all that money being thrown at you, all that privilege being thrown at you.
Make them stay 3 years when they are using resources? Foolish to me
But how many guys bust because they aren’t developed enough ?
Plenty bust no matter what half the time
Idk like I just don’t see how one year adds that much value
The average nba career is 3.5 years, but we want to make dudes pointlessly stay in college for 3??
Not many guys are prepared at 19 or 20 for the pressure of the nba
Let alone are developed enough skill wise
To really thrive in the league
The draft has been a crapshoot since it’s beginning. From 1960s to today the hit rate of prospects has hardly changed
The issue is it’s becoming a problem with some young nba players doing some really reckless shit
Like Ja, jaxson Hayes, miles bridges
Some of these guys have pretty shit conditioning also
MJ and Shaq spent the years in college and made impacts for the teams they were drafted to right off the bat. You don't see that a lot these days in the NBA. That's just a fact.
Guys like Duarte hield Fvv took longer but they had an impact faster
A big reason guys are cut so short is because they ain’t ready and so they flame out quick cuz nba teams don’t want to deal with guys that raw
If they don’t show they can stay on the court
That is false. Many younger guys have made the same impact
They just aren’t the greatest players of all time
Jordan HAD to spend years in college. Shaq would’ve been dominant no matter when he came out
it's a reality that it takes 2, 3, 4 years for a player to become that dude they're suppose to be, to learn their craft.
And that’s fine, but if they can do that at a younger age and not waste resources why prevent them?
Purely in 2018 bamba bagley Knox Jerome Robinson all massive busts
But not everyone can lol
Like that’s such short term thinking
Nba teams ain’t a charity
Ayton, Jackson, young, sga all not busts
Wanna talk about it from the players perspective there's a discussion to be made, but from the NBA POV, it's one of the many reasons why the quality of the sport has been up and down over the past decade.
You can’t nitpick man, it works for some, and doesn’t
The quality of the sport is at an all time high
BS
This is old timer thinking to say it’s not
2010-2016 was probably peak nba but the game is still amazing
No defense, no real rivaries, the regular season ultimately doesn't matter.
Idk man personally as a 19 year old after one year of uni i ain’t ready at all for an actual job
Let alone going from high school to one year of college to the nba
Your job is not a child’s game
Some can handle it, some can’t
I also don’t get paid millions of bucks to sit on a podium and answer questions and train all day
But because some can’t we make rules to force others? Let them choose
That would be fine if most guys ddidn’t take the allure of the nba
And just went into after one year
Like idk ofc if people were rational sure
But as a 19 year old i can firmly tell you there are very few rational people around my age
Especially if they saw millions of dollars on the table
So because grown men can’t learn, we restrict other grown men from living their lives.
Kimmy, you aren’t everyone at your age nor will you meet them all.
Tbh I’d prefer just having an age cap
Also agreed but then what’s the point of even having rules and regulations for sports anyways?
Or heck anything lol
It’s not like going to college is the best decision for everyone but most people do it
“No defense” although in the 80s there was less skill, more fouls and more scoring if we factor in pace
There’s a whole vid on this
Also one and done is literally a rule?
That restricts people
And forces them to have at least one year outside of high school
Yes and it’s stupid
I agree it is lmao
Personally i think more years makes them more mature but eh
Should just be a choice
Like idk just make the age min 19 at the start of the season or something
Let the ones who want to play straight out of HS do so. If you want to go to college go.
Want more years? Fine. Should be their decision
And let people do whatever the fuck they want from there
18 is fine i really don’t care
Just think the only min should be age requirement
Like i don’t want nba teams to go oh we can get some 16 year old to play in the nba
That’s fine. I just think making someone stay in college for 3 years is pointless.
We see a lot of the dumb decisions by younger guys today because of media as well. AI did the dumbest stuff in the world at a young age, but it wasn’t publicized til years later when media was easily accessed
From the players perspective, there's a discussion to be made. But from the NBA's POV, from a business standpoint, more times than not, these players still haven't fully learnt their craft and matured as individuals.
Like people would normally just do stupid shit and not give it
Fully agreed
It’s just idk does setting a rule change that
Like, the point of the draft, of winning the lottery is to get a player that could change the fate of the organization on a dime.
And you don't get that a lot these days.
Okay i mean you still do lol
You do, it’s incredibly rare to begin with tho
Gettting a top prospect if you don’t make a bad choice
Can still improve the team in the years to come
Right away sure maybe not. But in 2-3 years definitely that exists
they still happen but those franchise changers might not change stuff immediately
So a guy is supposed to show up and from day 1 change the team?
Luka changed the mavs outlook year 1
Ja (believe it or not) did the same for Memphis
Trae young did the same for Atlanta
Ja a 2 year guy but still
It happens with younger guys to change franchises
Some of the greatest franchise changers were outta high school or one and done though looking back on it.
lol
They for sure but it still took them a bit to get their footing
Like they were good. Luka didn’t get them to the playoffs season 1 though
True. I’m just saying, franchise changers like lebron and shaq and rarities to begin with.
And most of those types are 1 and done
Lebron was straight out of hs but yeh
Lebron just different
Him and Kobe
And Dwight
Making them stay 3 years in college don’t change that imo
So many guys busted going straight out of hs it was crazy lmaoo
That’s always rare
It's a dangerous game to be playing giving millions of dollars and instant celebrity to dudes still in their teens
Fully agreed
It’s a dangerous game period, there’s a whole documentary on that topic in general.
I just idk is giving it to a 21 year old much better?
The broke 30for30 covered why it don’t matter to most of these guys
I kinda wish there was a trust system of sorts that made sure the people around young players legit had their best interests in mind and couldn't spend their money willy nilly, or that said player could prove to be financially responsible
Like 19 to 21 is a big gap but it doesn’t make giving them millions of dollars a good idea
Not all players are mature by 21, 22 years old. But It's a general thing. More times than not, a 21, 22 year old is gonna be able to make a difference for a team off the bat than a 19, 20 year old.
Yeah but tbh i have 25 as the age when guys really begin to get developed
IDK how the NFL can do this but not the NBA.
Like not that many people go from being lacking skill and maturity wise at 25 to getting significantly better for the rest of their career
still tons of busts in the nfl lmao
even withb that
A high pick more often than not is going to make the biggest impact, and that tends to be a 19-20 year old
well that's high picks period
like a guy should't be drafted high up if a team doesn't think they'll make an impact
That’s what I’m saying though. And those higher picks will be the guys with the obvious talent. Holding them back for 3 years…
You also gotta think about it this way. Jack Hughes in the NHL, even with ice time, took him till last year at 20-21 to truly become the face of the NJ Devils. Took Makar years to become a top 5 defenseman in the league. The problem with the NBA is you're drafting these guys young and everyone expects them to make impacts off the bat and it's just not gonna happen.
tbh thats really more due to youth and potential upside
than anything related to being 19 or 20
and hoping they can fix some of their shit with nba level coaching
but not every nba player is willing to wait for some young player to develop just to stay on the court for a good team
Does Markelle Fultz ring a bell?
tbh i'm just praying they get rid iof it
He got hurt in college
so nba teams can actually make better choices
and not just chuck em cuz that's the fastest they are available
He got hurt on top of the pressure of being a number one pick.
That’s an awful example. If he didn’t have to go to college his whole career is probably better
The kid had to relearn how to shoot damn it
Does Derrick rose ring a bell? Like for every bad one and done
I can name a good one and done lol
That. Who you choose is on you. Them being 18 or 24 don’t make a difference in my eyes. Who they are, their character and who they are surrounded by makes the difference. There are examples to support every end of the spectrum. Would just rather these guys have freedom

fullly agreed
like pidgeonholing them into one thing just causes more problems for the nba
Fiba WC groups
For NBA
I mean basketball
Bruh I just say NBA whenever I say basketball automatically
canada better not job like usual
don't think they beat out france
And Venezuela
0 clue who they even got
Latvia have someone
100%
Oh yeah Kristaps
yeah canda probably done for
though they ahfe some talent
so maybe they do something this time
unlike usual with mens summer team sports
Bertans and Kristaps lol
legit carried by women's teams actually beinggood
big man giannis
Group E acc looks real nice
Germany Finland Australia Japan
Imo that's the best group
Group G and H acc look good too
https://twitter.com/oldtakesexposed/status/1652853961123155968?s=46&t=0dPhD14zL5uzVVpeHRQMfQ @dim ledge
Canada can beat Lebanon I think
They should come on now
I have no idea about basketball
But Lebanon doesn’t seem to be a team I’ve heard of
Damn
The Cali team yesterday got 30000 fans
Yeah it is
Yes
Oh wait nvm
Wtf
I thought it ended 1-0
Wolfsburg turned it around
It's 1-2 now
oh it’s happening rn?
Yes
I love the marketing team in my club regarding women’s football. While it isn’t as big or lucrative, they still manage to make the people want to go. Like the league made sure to put the 2 classicos men and woman on the same day. The woman’s game right before the men’s game and you could buy a ticket that included both matches. Kids get in free to all our women’s games and while the boys are absolute shit, the girls are consistently going to finals and winning so we’ve had sold out stadiums
Are real still in it?
nope
Barca women’s vs whoever wins the other game
they have conceded 5 goals all szn in league lol
Holy shit acrual respect?
Why are the canadiens making fun of Boston
Because everyone should partake
It's funny af mostly
Guess panthers can beat bears officially
Good to know
Because Boston is insufferable
And its always fun to see them lose

Barca is gonna comeback big time Bois dw
@NHLBruins . Like all teams ; players grit it out to play through major injuries in the Playoffs. My sources tell me soon to be Vezina G Ullmark was playing through a debilitating & painful injury that limited his mobility and technique. @espn @NHL @NHLNetwork #HockeyTwitter
384
???
Why not pull him sooner then ….
Sorry but they played a Florida team who played their third string to start the series
Ullmark has now won as many series as this goat
Starting to see the flaws of Montgomery as a HC.
People talk about The Pats ending 07 with a 18-1 record. What the Bruins just did is like if that 16-0 Pats had all the momentum going into the playoffs and then lose to David Garrard and the Jags in the divisional round.
Dude and it’s not like Swayman is just some guy either
Soyuncu scoring wow
Swayman is the best ‘backup’ in the league
Can’t really call him that
Since he’s played so many games at such a high level
I guess for sure best goalie who hasn’t started more than half of the season
Comkplewtely derped
Just left swayman to die
Also because he only said he was going to start right before the game
Early season disaster class for Ferrari
Down all the way to 4th
That’s gotta sting
What about Craig
Anderson is the better goalie
Dude is the guy they should play in most of the biggest games
I’d say if anyone is their starter it’s Anderson
Martin Truex finally won a race
Oh wow truex did something
Yeah but i woiuldn’t say he’s their backup
26 games only this season
Backup would imply there was big gap between the two.
He shouldn’t have been but he was our backup
Yeah for the sabres it’s the other way lol
Anderson never got injured
Oh they just played upl for no reason then
Bozos
Cost them a spot
Yeah that’s why its in quotation marks
It was really a tandem
They played UPL because they had to see if he could be the guy or not. Well, it didn't work out.
Yeah he tanked their season
We had commie as our starter and Craig as backup then commie got injured and ukko pekka became the starter and Craig was the backup
Idk should have dumped him earlier
Comrie didn’t do too hot
Questionable goaltending cost them
I am sad he couldn’t do more but also he’s 40 years old, he played 2 games in a row twice in the season and he was tired on the second one. It was just not doable to play him more often
Goaltending and overall defense was the main problems. One isn't bigger than the other. Both needed fixes. Levi you hope continues to perform and defense needs to be addressed in FA.
I actually don’t mind commie, he’s not a starter but he’s good enough. Rather keep him than ukko pekka
Idk red flags shouldn’t allow tyre changes
Yeah he’s backup caliber
That’s just me, since the driver i like (Russell) got shafted
Though he also apparently bozoed this restart so lol
Défense needs patching up, goalkeeping needed a whole change. We just need a couple 2-3rd line defenders and keep okpokun and zemgus in the team and we’ll be good to go
Don’t ruin your life like me
Uhhhhh don’t choose them
Idk why anyone would willingly choose the Sabres as a grown adult
Terrible idea
Awful
This is so mean😭😭

Hater
Hey man i chose the leafs and before last weekend i regretted it for years
Nah the sabres should just get better
Though that’s throwing rocks out of a glass house
Good one
Whatever sabres are looking up
But why is it wrong choosing the sabres
But idk haven’t seen buffalo sports succeed much
Because its suffering
It ain’t wrong i just don’t know why a grown adult would wilingly decide to suffer through being a sabres fan
But it’s a beautiful team
Good players, good community, and we have Jeff
Oh wait i already have one
Because of the logo
And supporting an underdog
I just wish we had something to fight for
Bro I was talking bout the video game 😭
Like at least with relegation there’s something to look up to in a season
Now we’re just stuck at doing nothing forever
Irl nobody replaces my wings
They’re up there for sure
What about the French connection
If we get wemby on top of my lions and wings on the upswing I’ma have to move back to Michigan
Yeah French connection def one of the cooler trios in hockey history
You got yo Denver nuggets jeans on?
They were truly amazing
Bro. Barely got my life in order today, let alone the Denver nugget jeans 🫡😅
Ah fair enough
Denver nugget jeans? Dang
Lunik going in style
It’s been a crap ton of rain here
Which is always fun
Pitcher? Dang so he pitches for the mets?
New Yorkers don’t know how to pronounce picture for some reason
Well I guess jersey too, idk for some reason people don’t put the C in picture
I really can’t tell sometimes
No that’s the video lol
Ah gotcha
Just YouTube Denver nugget jeans
Without context idfk lol
You’ll be laughing
Lmaooooooo
Incredible bro lmfao
Yeah that’s a good one
Is your son also a rangers fan?
Or is he maybe on the look for a team in western New York
I nwouldn’t care either
Fr
Yeah i know i gotcha
While my grandpa supports my club
Honestly more fun that way
My dad would get jumped at school bc he was a fan on the other football club in the city 😂
Different times I guess though
i shouldnt mention what Greece was like
Idk ,man i get it but i don’t care enough
Sending the vibes
Warzone
we jumped my little cousin as a joke because he wore red (Olympiakos) on gameday
my dad told me a story once that they held a kid who supported Olympiakos underwater because they're called "gavri" which is a type of fish
Oh that is ruthless
ye
Defending a Stanley Cup is hard. Dealing with the stipulations of Title Defense mode is even harder. Colorado can't really be blamed for losing to the Kraken, but with so many things against them, how could they win?
It was a losing battle, no matter what they tried to do.
Jerry Reinsdorf was in LA Monday speaking at a Milken Institute Global Conference panel called "Game Changers: The New Business of Sports" You can watch the whole thing here, but I'm gonna pull some quotes Sox(and Bulls) fans may be interested in 🧵
Reinsdorf: "My approach has been I never really cared about making any money, I just want to win. Now, that’s not what I wanted to do in business. ... The first week I was in sports somebody said to me 'If you listen to the fans, you’ll soon be sitting with the fans.'"
"You can’t allow your decisions to be guided by emotions of what you think people want. At the same time, you have to consider what your fans are thinking or they’re not going to buy your tickets."
Reinsdorf: "Sports is a business of failure but the fact that you finish second or third or fourth it doesn’t mean you had a bad year."
"I think the important thing to fans is, while they want you to win championships, they want to know that when they get down to the last month of the season you still have a shot. You’re still playing meaningful games. If you can do that consistently you’ll make your fans happy."
This dude doesn't even know his own fanbases.
BAHAHAHAHHAAH
this guy is such a cheapskate
Yeah right your fans love seeing you sit on a pile of money like a dragon while barely spending anything on making your teams meaningfully better
More Reinsdorf: "If you think that you know more than your GM or head coach, then you’ve got the wrong GM... sometimes you just have to bite your tongue and have faith. But you can’t make the decisions for your baseball people...You’ve got to let them make the decisions."
You hired La Russa beyond your GM's control. Shut up.
Oh wow the owner isn’t supposed to make sure his team is doing well
In conclusion: Sell the team, Jerry.

On cable cont.: "People were paying for sports who really didn’t want the sports….Streaming is coming along but it doesn’t produce the money that the cable bundle produced. And there’s basically near-panic. because where are we going to replace this money in the short term?"

"Sometimes I sit in ownership meetings and I think ‘how in the world could these guys have made money to buy a team.'"
Oh so that's what we're doing, tell bold based and easily provable lies?
This is some of the most tone deaf things I’ve seen an owner say
Same ass hat that was big part of that strike in 94 when his team was a WS contender.
What a fucking cunt
Dude would purposely refuse to win a ring just to fuck over his fans
And take their money
Got to strike to increase his bottom line. How dare the fans and players get good treatment ?

The #Chiefs are expected to re-sign RB Jerick McKinnon, whose re-emergence has been a revelation for KC. He gained 803 yards from scrimmage last year, the second-highest total in his career, with 10 TDs.
GM Brett Veach alluded to this possibility with reporters just now.

I’d have been shocked if they let him walk
Honestly I thought him being on the roster was a given
Considering how well he’s done for them
From NFL Now: The #Packers have a fascinating financial decision to make on QB Jordan Love.
1251
Uhhh Brian I wonder who’s fault that is
Also you didn’t even bother getting a guy who was remotely starting caliber and you aren’t sure if you are going to use love’s fifth year option ????
Lol….Lions on the way
Two all time greats had their final pass for the team they got drafted by be a pick
Wild
Would be odd with an easier schedule upon getting better
Yeah but I think the only reason he's doing it is because the market is completely dead for RBs, I believe he was on Twitter back in March talking about "the disrespect is real" or something
Cause goff only has more to work with now
I’d really only pay elite receiving backs personally. Seems like the best of those are never healthy tho
Yeah for sure
Tbh idk if paying RBs that much is a good idea
Cuz like they fall off too fast a lot of the time and are too injury prone
Plus rb by committee has worked for a lot of teams
Now I don’t follow NHL or know any players except for some legends and current good players. But how the hell did the bruins get eliminated
Holy shit do I love Bo Bichette's bat
I wish his glove was half as good as his bat because holy hell
Did they have injured players or did they just full on collapse
I'd say more the later
Damn
Wasted all their energy getting that regular season win record
100% a full collapsw
Only to lose to an 8th seed in the 1st round
Collapse
Literally everyone:
https://youtu.be/6_PioOmxEjg?t=15
They shoulda easily beat the panthers
As a Lightning fan who had to go through that in 2019 it's nice to see
They had a 3-1 series lead, two better goalies, better centres, better wings, better everything
Literally one of the best players in the league
And still just
You’ve had pretty good years recently. They always seem to be in the mix when chasing for a title
whoa that building crashed
Indeed, beyond blessed. Back to back titles, first team since the 80s Islanders to go to 3 straight Finals
Sheeesh
And the 3-1 choke to add to that
Yeh. It was. Bad.
Of course the Lightning had a happy ending. But they choked a game 7 to the Pens in 2016, Blew a 3-2 series lead and didn't score at all in those last 2 games in 2018, and then get swept by a 8th seed team when winning 62 games. I'll never forget those Ls
One of the worst choke jobs ever. As a Maple Leafs fan, I am reveling in the fact that not only it isn't us, but it is Boston
I support the rangers since they are in the playoffs. And they are kinda choking too
Soooo
Let’s see how that goes
It'd be fun if the Rangers won the title, they have a nice group of young talent
@robust grotto @dim ledge cheering for you boiz
If the Rangers won it, I wouldn't mind unless it meant Toronto got eliminated by them
Still shocked by the Avs losing but I suppose with everything that has gone on for them the past year it makes sense why they couldn't repeat as champs
I was pleasantly surprised by Seattle
The whole city was I think
I've been seeing more and more Seattle shit. Hell I visited my sister and her fiancé and they have kraken blankets all over their couches now
On a side note Houston lost in the XFL semi finals to a team with a losing record
Wade Phillips special I imagine
Indeed it is, championship game is next Saturday, Arlington Renegades against the DC Defenders
DC doesn't have an excuse to lose that game
Then go Arlington
I’m supporting Arlington too
Bruins Playoff history:
It's gonna be interesting to see which XFL guys get to make the jump
Not that Vancouver deserves a cup. From what I recall those animals went wild
Which really sucks. I like Vancouver as a city
Place is real pretty
But I admit there is something hella strange about their hockey rink being like literally 100 yards from their football stadium
Can tell you outright that Sea Dragons WR Jahcour Pearson should be on an NFL roster this fall
Kid was killing it all year and led their league in receiving yards
Also DC WR Lucky Jackson
Uh Uh Uh. Not for another 25 years
That’s Vancouver in a nutshell
Wonderful place. Wouldn’t want anything to do with living there
How the bruins lost? They forgot what defense was for the last three games, they ran an injured goalie into the ground even when dude couldn’t do shit, they turned the puck over a lot, they struggled to get past the neutral zone
Absolutely vanished when it mattered the most
Just looked up “bruins 17 seconds” on YouTube out of curiosity. And damn
Bruins failures are a glorious site
The only thing I’ve seen that came close to this was losing in the finals in 2019
Was a beautiful sight
Your arena is shared with the raptors. What’s wrong with having both places nearby
Harden and Tatum going off
@robust grotto @dim ledge mark messier on the broadcast
Nothing is wrong, it's just weird to me. They don't share the arenas, they are just really close together
Yeah sharing is normal actually
I don’t love it but it’s common place
Toronto, Boston, la just a few that do it
I think it makes sense. Specially if teams share things like owners
Yeah for sure
Leafs and raptors do for example
My hero Igor
Looking like a Greek god
Tatum going off
no I don’t think so
Early power play for NY and a holding blew it
Is there a holding in the nhl? Is he bad?
There is
Oh just like the holding we have in footy
Are you referring to the arsenal player? 😭
Lol
Igor

Im glad mckinnon is back
Two rangers players ran into each other
What’s the name of the devils keeper
What a mid goal. Still well done devils
