Lmao idk about Sorloth being the sole striker vs Mourinho's roma
Gonna be interesting
you honestly really need PnP to win the UCL tbh
we need more pacey wingers
bayern look unreal tbh
You really need to get
But not the worst team
Yeah he should have got a chance today
The city mistake was the downfall
Yep and then vs us
Well the goals weren't his fault but
Didnt Ben White sub on for him?
Tbf he’s useless going forward
And he scored off the bench
So it wasn’t really any need for him on the pitch
He practically is a cb playing rb
Like white
Yep
Actually now that I think about it
Is that the new meta?
Dan Burn also been great
At LB
Well was I guess
That season was cursed and no joke Sanchez was fucking awful
I’m sorry lmfao
Was it after 2018 or before?
Damn Goncalves
What’s wrong with team of the week

Imagine being player of the week and not making the team
Why are you looking at fantasy team of the week
I saw it in Facebook
That's not the official UCL one idk where to find it
That's literally just based off fantasy football points
It’s the one they published
It’s not fair
Muller got picked as POTM because he played well
It's based off statistics
It is fair
Thomas should be on 26 the numbers on there
It's not based on how good they played, it's based on how much they scored, if they kept a CS, et
Eetc
Unfortunately
Tackles?
Because he’s the best
If Gonzalo gets 13 points then surely the raumdeuter gets minimum double
He scored 2 goals
Simple as that
Not anything more to it
Not anything less
Oh yeah he got an assist as well
Then don’t nominate him
Nominate? for what
Player of the week
That wasn't from his point gain lol
That's what I'm saying
The TOTW you showed me is from fantasy game
Oh the 2 aren’t related?
They were both published by uefa
They just see whoever played the best
Fantasy football is just analytical stats
It doesnt go indepth
Like you score 3 goals and miss 100 big chances?
No big deal
So Darwin gets 20 points?
Ye
And Thomas gets 0
I think they still get + points for being MOTM but it wasn't enough
To push him into TOTW by points
Should be +10
The stats really don’t know how to rate Thomas. He’s so misunderstood

People who watch the games know he’s the best in the world
saliba scored
Long-time great #Bucs LB Lavonte David, coming off one of his most productive seasons, is expected to test the free agent market, source said. A return to Tampa Bay has not been ruled out, but given their cap situation, it will be challenging.

@rustic ore

I love the man and I will harbor no ill will towards him for testing his market at his age
If he does leave all I can hope for is that he goes to a contender to get a chance at another ring, he deserves it
I hope he gets paid if he doesn’t go to a contender
He should have gotten more respect from the league. He was that good
Amen
Jets are releasing WR Braxton Berrios at the start of the league year next week, per source. The two sides discussed a restructuring of his contract but were unable to reach agreement. His release will save $5 million against Jets’ cap.

There’s a real possibility that the Vikings and Adam Thielen will part ways in the coming days, allowing the two-time Pro-Bowl WR to become a free agent, per sources. The two sides will talk in coming days, but his time in Minnesota could be coming to an end.

@simple seal
Michail Antonio brace damn
A white receiver who could be had for a decent price?? I hear Bill already dialing Theilen's agent's number
Seems competitive
He said he wanted a top tier qb
You said it best about that
All I'll say is money talks
If he truly wants that and that's it sure
But New England I think has the 4th most money to spend this free agency, so I'll be interested to see what happens
Better than most other wrs he can have
Maybe you could get capitan Kirk
To be your qb
And keep the Kirk thielen duo
And he can’t make fun of Kirk for not being top tier
Eh I think we are stuck with Mac at least for the rest of this year
I think this will be his put or shut up year
Same for Bill
2020 was no Brady, 21 was Mac's rookie year, 22 we had no OC. So this is the year. No more excuses
Yeah
Not the worst
Lot of QBs in that class with something to prove
Can Zach Wilson even béa starting qb on any team? Is trey lance even good? Does Mac Jones have something in him this upcoming season?
Man that could be a really bad class
At least kyler’s class is worse lol
It could be an awful class or it could surprise us
I don't think Wilson is gonna be anything at all other than the biggest bust since Jamarcus Russel
Forgot United was playing
I don't want to jinx it but we should be up
Me neither
Yeah for sure
Daniel jones managed to be half decadent
Decent
After sucking ass for a while
Texans..
de gea is so lucky
Yeah lol
Antony
Wtf Antony
3-1
Betis
1-1
BEUNOOOOOOOO
Damn still playing in Europe
3-1 right?
yes
VAR PLEASE
for what
the first 2 goals were nice
YEAH BABY
Antony disappearing for 4 games straight only to score a random banger
@hasty mesa @robust grotto
Getting paid more per year than tds he threw before the deal
What an elite qb
Having less tds in 3 seasons than mahomes can get in one season
Chiesa injured
FUCJ
FUCK
Please get up
Please please please please
He's out
FUCK
?
4-1
He's playing
I hope he doesn't get injured even more
I'm gonna commit unspeakable acts if he's injured for a long time
4-1 it's a wrap
Vikings suck
It's over
I would've preferred a second goal but oh well
Let's hope Chiesa is alright
The phrase shit guy finally scored was made for him
he even did the knee slide
Rushing QB….. right?

Anyway stats don’t mean all but yeah he needs to pass more (hopefully to better people)
Good lord
Three third rounders
I mean they need them, the picks that would've been their original 1st - 3rd are all gone to other teams cause of trades
Their original 1 went to Miami in the Trey Lance trade up (and has since been passed around like a hot potato) and their original 2 and 3 are going to Carolina because of the CMC trade
This is good?
I mean considering how SF keeps hitting on mid round picks I would say very good
Never hit the ice… but is a gem regardless. Also cool to see this one pop up on my timelines so I had to share
Nice
Good depth pieces
All the niners really need
Yeah without those picks any mid round picks are nice
Thirds are the highest they have right now
The one perk of having talent being poached so often

The NHL Trade Deadline had a lot more buzz than expected. With the salary cap starting to squish a ton of teams, there had to be some creativity involved in making moves happen. To the surprise of many, there weren't j...
i am genuinely impressed by how well the monochrome works for them
wow
the symbol on the sleave is better than their real symbol
Love the black / blue checkered pattern too
Agree
Linda scored her first goal for real in extra time of her first official game. making the country proud
Sam Rosen, Howie Rose, and Doc Emrick. The Kings of MSG play-by-play guys.
Blessed w announcers
Martin Biron and Henrik Lundqvist as well
Almost forgot Rick Jeanneret
Legend
Nfl looks more and more sketchy than before
Idk anymore. Feels increasingly scripted
Mahomes is the golden boy and they’ll somehow try to finagle him to winning many super bowls to come
Glad he’s doing other sports. Finding it harder to stomach nfl content by the year
@short flame Greenway ?!
Oh we’re losing, like always lately
What is the nhl doing with their sechdding
All good, still 40 minutes
So many days with barely any games that are mostly or entirely shit
What genius logic just overload some days and do shit on other days
Even better when they do it on Friday night
They have to give Canadian teams home games on Saturday for HNIC too
The nhl somehow makes Fridays awful
Lmao yay
I am honestly amazed at how the nhl puts their shit games on days with little games
The smart move would be to cover the shit games with other games
The nba does a better job of having bunches of games on each day
Often not something like 10plus but usually at least like 6-9 games a day
Whereas the nhl has a lot of 4 or less days coupled with a bunch of 10plus game days
My bad I went away after the 3-0
let's pretend he has a buffalo shirt
I see, they often do that lol
?
to be expected
don't worry about it
we don't have defenders
Not 9 tho
dahlin and power were horrible today
Some hand-eye coordination from Meier
is it 9
I left at 7
9-4 rn
Nah idc lmao
..
Man there;’s still a shot
There’s growth at least
To build on
And east has a lot of old teams
Pens and caps aren’t getting better
Isles idk but don’t seem like they are getting. A lot better
well this was our game with one of the 2 decent keepers. I already know we're losing every game with ukko pekka so these games with craig and commie are the only thing I look up to. and if we're losing this we're done. I also feel as if this season we're not aiming further, which is the decision and I have to respect it but I really think getting a decent defender and goalie was necessary. I'm still sad about Quick
yeah but we're likely losing craig and okpokun next season, it won't get better, maybe if everyone else is horrible we stand a chance. and jeff is not getting any younger
add to that the fact that Tuch is out for a couple of weeks
Since 1998, there were only 3 goalies to concede 10 goals in a single game.
#NYR Steve Valiquette (02/06/2009)
#GoHabsGo Al Montoya (11/04/2016)
#TimeToHunt Jonas Johansson (04/29/2022)
Tonight, #LetsGoBuffalo Eric Comrie joins them.
Am I reading that right? 10 goals?
nothing to see
just buffalo being buffalo
Just got to believe
The Sacramento kings have finally gotten good
Players will want to play for the Sabres next year. It's only a question about long term goaltending and developing the defense.
This year I believed until I saw our recruitment and realised they're ok with not making the playoffs
We need a good starter and backup keeper (commie can stay at third), a lot of defenders, 2 good forwards to replace okpokun and just in case jeff goes or one of the front get injured. it's a lot and they'll not invest in the team. Not sure people will want to come, specially defenders
Idk man
Players have wanted to go to teams like the sens and blue jackets
Who aren’t the best destinations
Or Calgary
Can’t say Buffalo is for sure worse than them
Tage Thompson has been of the best rising players in the league, Players will want to play with him.
Maybe
I'm not in a positive mood right now
I don't have a good feeling
This year really felt like it was the moment to do it
I don't see anyone being an improvement on craig or okpokun in the league
The drafting needs to be a little better but I can see Buffalo finally finding themselves in the near future
They’ll sign a bigger name this summer too, watch
From a Bolts fan who saw a rebuild. Just some young teams can sneak into the playoffs one year than back to shit the next. Gonna take time to get consistently good enough to make the playoffs. Especially in the Atlantic
no one bigger than quick
I still like the idea of Blackwood coming there. Thought he's pretty underrated in NJ.
Yeah but as the drought get bigger and bigger, it's harder to have hopes. we've been rebuilding 12 years. I don't know how much more we can fail, we're already a joke to the league, they don't take us seriously. And we may have a lot of young players, the core of the team are the 3-4 strong veterans + dahlin, those who are not staying long and are not replaceable
I think the Bolts made it to the ECF in 2011 with the last prime days of St Louis and Lecavalier. And then 2011 and 2012 were pretty much back to where the Sabres are pretty much now. Like I said, some teams get lucky and get a taste of it early while others don't.
Yeah I like him, good backup forward, has been feeling the void left by tuch lately, he will be good for the third trio in the future
if we're relying on luck we might as well call it a day
Can't exactly blame you on that. Reputations are there for a reason.
But I asked for this so I can't complain
I just wished the team felt like they were trying to push for a place
Man the kings haven’t made the playoffs for like 16 years
And now they are legit contenders
Some times it just takes a while
The Atlantic is getting old also
Bruins, Lightning, Panthers
Tkachuk trade makes them younger but the panthers are still an older roster
they've made the playoffs 4 times in the past 8 years (3 in 7 plus current one)
Sacramento kings
Panthers just won a round and they didn’t this century beforehand
The Lightning will be contending for another decade. The Leafs also if things work out. I think the biggest threats rn in the future are the Wings and Sabres if everything works out for them. The Panthers I just don't see their celling being any bigger.
Leafs made the playoffs in like 2013
The lightning will but they certain;y aren’t getting better
And then they didn’t make it for a few years after
Fair enough with the lgihtning’
They have some nice younger pieces
Who they just extended
Leafs hahahhahaahhhaahhaah
This might be the last season lol
Or second last
Either way the leafs short term future is completely unknown
Really depends on how the Lightning go through trades and depth. Feels like a Pens thing in the late 2000s where they looked like they were a 2nd round exit team and then 2016 and 2017 happen.
Have to wait for this free agency cycle
Yeah lightning look good but idk how good they’ll be once kuch and Stamkos retire
yeah but with the 3 at the top are not doable at the moment, canadiens are going to build this summer, that's going to leave us with one place if everyone else does bad
Vasi is really good now but idk how good he’ll be closer to 10 years from now
I'm really talking about Matthews situation. If he stays or looks elsewhere, it will change how the Leafs look in the future.
Not just Matthews also marner and nylander are going up fast
Within the next 2 years after this one
maybe if matthews comes we will stand a chance
Plus trade restrictions after this season
I'm really forward to the Yotes memes.

Matthews to AZ
Matthews is good but idk they won’t be contenders for a bit even if they keep him without marner and nylander
They’re coming
are you saying the 3 of them may leave?
They could
Really the only good thing Arizona ever done for the hockey world.
You don’t like the college rink they have?
Or their moves?
It’s certainly not a certainty any of them have stayed
Dude, that place looked like an AHL game.
Let me see how much money we have, we could use a third trio
Man I’d go to my uni if i wanted to see a college rink
Or the uni I’m going to in fall
I’m aware. I’m saying it in jest
Can’t imagine guys want to stay on this losing ship called the leafs
I don't hate that the Yotes are doing the moves they're doing. I'm mad at the NHL for enforcing shit on the Rangers who are competing and just allowing a tanking team like the Yotes to take on dead contracts and also saying teams don't tank.
teams don't tank
yotes are pushing for the title
thrust me
\
Of course they're pushing for a cup. The Toilet Cup.
how can gary be treated seriously if he doesn't even try to solve problems. there are ways to regulate tanking instead of pretending it doesn't exist
You know not having a lottery
Thé tank bowl
I gave my idea
Hey now, this isn't the NFL.
bottom 8 don't get a chance at the first pick
because they're too shit
The dirt cup
I'll never get the lottery in any sport that does this shit. You look at the numbers and realize it hurts the league more than helps.
Like, the Cleveland Browns in the NFL should be used as the only reason why the NFL doesn't have a lottery.
so who gets first pick?
No matter the top picks, the Browns will find a way to not get the best player available.
I can't take that team seriously
It’s inevitable with a draft
If we didn't have a lottery, than the Jackets would have the 1st pick
I’d be fine with that
why are they named after a family guy character
They are a comedy so good enough
but then people will aim at the last place
I hate this idea
It's the other way around.
let me make fun of them
the shit teams should get the shit players they deserved
A lottery is only gonna make teams tank harder. It's been proven in the NBA.
why, you're shit you can lose every game and wait the season out
and then cash in in your player
There is a draft lol
As long as you have a better chance at getting good players by sucking teams will suck
that's why I don't like drafts in general
More teams tank when there’s a chance that more teams can get. A high pick
but if you're going to do it, give it to the teams that tried
Well then how do teams add talent ?
17th team gets first pick
Tanking is a difficult thing to really do honestly. While, yes, a GM can make a roster bare minimum to look like they're tanking, but the coaches or players aren't out there to lose on purpose. Not every team is like the Sam Hinkie 76ers.
they go look for it
Yeah but the issue is that how do bad teams get better
And how do they do that without a draft lol
then what is saint louis doing
Thé issue is teams only look into talent because they can draft them
is he really just bad?
They wouldn’t have access otherwise
they invest, they build from what they can recruit
It’s not like football where the level of scouting goes way before they turn 18
Who do you even know to recruit lol
that's why you need better scouts
why not?
They do have scouts
Because of how many teams there are
And teams don’t have that much access
there's more teams in football and they still manage
Because the feeder system is so much more robust
they have to look all over the world
Another thing is you can poach talent from other teams also
There’s teams who develop talent and ship it off
Plus a lot of teams have academys
And teams where they have younger players
So yeah obv if they play games where that team or other teams can see when they are younger its easier to see them
You can’t just go to a high school and scout guys there lol
That’d interfere with the school
And college scouts are already there
yeah but an nhl team wouldn't do that
Exactly how it makes it harder
Especially with how long nhl players take to develop
It’d be super hard to find who has potential without a draft
but the ahl, chl, lhjmq are already there
It's the nature of the game. Teams have a window of contention in once that window is closed, most teams will rebuild the foundation through trades and the draft. The Sabres were one of those teams too. They just happened to fuck it up hence this cycle of rebuilding up to this point.
Also why would guys go to bad teams ???
you can recruit from there
Thé issue is with as salary cap you can’t pay them that much
So why would a player want to get barely paid to go to a. Shit team
Then you have the cap which makes GMs push to develop more depth.
but what I don't like is that you're giving good players to mediocre teams. you don't try to win, you don't get good players, simple as that
But then how do you try to win with no talent?
You can’t just magic a good feeder system
If no promising talents want to come there
you invest
Easier said than done and teams already inverts
On the surface. Yeah, bad teams are getting elite young players. But this needs to be said. Just because bad teams can get young talent doesn't mean they're 100% are gonna get the best talent available.
Bad and mediocre teams have to get better. Good teams getting stronger doesn’t help parity
Or make the league interesting
They have to get better by trying harder not by being helped out
Yeah that’s the thing with a draft. You are still gambling on players
Trying harder????? If only you could win just by truing lol
you just play shit and then get gifted a player that will save you
Literally Kuch and Point you know key pieces of the Bolts top line were 3rd round picks.
But that rarely happens lol
You still have to draft well
And especially with the nhl its a lot deeper
Also maybe you forget how many teams there are in the NCAA
It’s like hundreds lol
And that’s just div 1
I've seen the Yotes pick in the lottery so many times over the years and yet one appearance in the WCF in 2012. Like clearly the draft isn't this goldmine so many teams tank are hoping for
^^^^
Exactly the draft has never been a miracle worker anyways
You still have to get the right players and develop them
yeah but look at blue jackets now, they suck and then they'll get bedard and be ok. they should get punished for being bad not helped out. If I'm bad at my job, I get fired not given a bonus so I can become better
It just ensures teams actually have a shot to get talent
Thatdoesnj’t happen though
Thé oilers haven’t won a ring despite having mcdrai
Thé leafs got Matthews and they haven’t won a round
but they would be even worse without them
Oh wow no shit they’d be worse without talent lol
and I know about getting bad picks, we got eichel ffs
I know the draft isn't a miracle
The Jackets really couldn't help themselves. They got hurt. And even they didn't get hurt, it wasn't that they're losing on purpose its the fact that Brad Larsen had lost that locker room. They're a case where the worst team is the one who weren't even trying to tank from the beginning.
And yeah bad gms and coaches and scouts get fired
It’s not like they keep their jobs after sucking
Lol
So that doesn’t necessarily work
Yeah sometimes shit just goers south
Even if a team doersn’t intend to suck
but look at montreal
they're all so casual at the moment
I see interviews they're not even trying
they should get punished for tanking
Yeah, let's look at Montreal, a team passing the days of Price and a regime wanting to get their own guys instead of guys from the Bergevin era.
they're just waiting for bedard
Oh they do though. Not many tanking teams actually win in the future
Blowing up your culture and getting rid of talent hasn’t worked out that often
If they get him, they get him. The team is not built to contend at the moment.
and yet teams still do it every year
We don't even know if Bedard will be the guy or not.
there should be an incentive to have teams push hard every season
Even with his already proven stats.
And again without a draft that wouldn’t help them scout
It’d be even worse
It’s a league. Teams have to be better or worse. There isn’t regulation
Took Stamkos years to become a bigger star than St Louis.
How can every team push hard lol? Some teams are going to better and some are going to be worse
Can’t expect young teams to suddenly be able to win games also
Coaches and players don’t tank to begin with
Not like they dopmn’t try to win
Or push hard
Like I don't want relegation in hockey but we have that in football and even the shit teams keep pushing and investing to save their season because otherwise they get ejected from the league. You create a reason to push for not finishing last. You want your teams to all be trying, not have 12 teams casually on standby for next season
It's all about instant gratification. Which that can't be helped for some people. But I've seen how a Stanley Cup hockey club is build with my own eyes through Tampa. You gotta be patient and lose before you can be good enough through the farm and trades.
^^^^^
because even if you don't tank, after a point teams don't have anything to push towards to, they just start building for next season, I find that boring
Football teams are patient it just often doesn’t show up in terms of the highest level of the team
Young guys who make the roster obviously are developed for years before getting to that point
they don't push as hard as they would if they were in a playoff race
Because it isn’t a participation award?
There are playoffs
Like idk man i get your point but its clear that you are just used to another system
And not how the nhl or even North American sports really work typically
yeah and there's like 12 teams in the league who aren't even trying to make the playoffs
I honestly think tanking get's this bad rep because teams like Sam Hinkie had made it a mockery through the process now over 7 years ago. 99% of the time, players and coaches are not gonna lose on purpose. It's just that the rosters are build to tank. Which that's only on paper.
^^^^^^
Ofc they might not give it 100% but they for sure try to win every time
And its still demoralizing to lose a lot of games
Sure the team at the surface might look like they don’t care. however the guys for sure do care
I look at baseball. I saw the Pirates and Orioles try this half competing window open BS which only lead to worst outcomes and delaying the inevitable.
Half competing is worse in a league like the nhl yeah’
Being decent to mediocre just makes them worse
The flyers suck because they haven’t committed to tanking
I know I am and I'm not trying to take that system and change it, we also have a playoff system in colombia, only the top 8 out of 20 make it so it's even harder to make it but there's also reasons to push to not finish at the bottom. Like I just think there should be an incentive to not finish at the bottom. no idea what but the higherups should try something. I'm just a fan, I don't have the knowledge to give any ideas
Thé penguins and caps are on their way to mediocrity
You saw it with the Wings in the 2010s. Like tell me how well that worked out for Holland there?
Lottery is trying to help, but yeah they should
Idk its just really hard lol
To balance having talent being spread and not rewarding sucking for. Years in a row
like what buffalo did the past 12 years is shameful even as a fan of the team, specially that mcsauce year and we should have been held accountable (and we did look at us now) and it should be the case for every team that just pushes to get a top pick by tanking
If a foundation is flawed or getting old beyond repair. You have to rebuild that and start new. We're literally on a OP server an aging team is like the Going Merry. No matter how much you try to force it continue moving forward the shit is gonna break on it's own.
don't bring my baby merry in this
Yeah its just rhe right move in terms of team building
Youjncan’t try to win forever
Also in your case then leagues just happen to have teams that are actually competitive and teams that flirt with regulation
But domn’t actually try to make a run at being one of the best
Is it really better when like 2-3 teams dominate a league for over a decade?
I get that sometimes you have to rebuild, it's part of a process but you rebuild while also trying at the same time. just my personal opinion on the matter, I want my players regardless of if they're good bad young or old to go give their 3000% each game
there's flaws in every sport but you can try to make it better. obviously a team winning 5 champions in a row isn't the solution but you can try to find a way to be equal while also not making teams from the bottom just relax
like in football it's the middle teams that are just there, not pushing for anything while the top 6 and bottom 6 are actually trying as hard as they can for their personal objectives
Everyone is different to how they react to it. I think to a Marlins fan in baseball, they just are tired of rebuilding. But the draft itself is not the problem. Rebuilding teams are normally gonna get their guys, build the team, and they're back to competing. But with teams like the Sabres and even the Devils for awhile. They simply fucked up the rebuilds hence why they've both had multiple 1st overall picks the last decade.
Teams are like businesses. The ones that succeed are the ones that look at the bigger picture instead of the present.
Again players do give it their all
Maybe not to that extend but they certainly are trying hard
A lot of those guys are looking for bigger contracts, so they're trying.
but they'd be trying harder if they had something to push for
It’s not real axing lol . Any team which does it just going to suck
Well yeah but you can’t give everyone something to push for
Also like what can they push for lol?
That’d make their teams better
maybe if they knew if they finished in the bottom they would get shit picks, they would try harder
again, I'm just talking, I don't have a solution, I just think it's something that is worth discussing
But this is why Bettman and Roger Goodell can actively say teams don't tank. Because, no matter how obvious it seems, you can't 100% accuse a team of losing on purpose in the games itself. The players and coaches aren't getting money bonus from the GM or owner to lose on purpose.
Or else, we'd be having a Black Sox scandal almost every week
did they do that?
but they're not being pushed around by the team. there's a mentality of it doesn't matter if we have a bad season. we can rebuild and restart. which is not the way I want the very best league in the world to think that way. And I know it happens in every sport but I also think there should be more tries to make it a little better
That would be interesting
What would be fun is reverse order
For non playoff teams
The only thing closest to throwing games away was once again, Sam Hinkie's Trust the Process. Which the dude would trade away his family if he could get a couple 2nd round picks in 2019 and 2020.
So would sam presti
that's what I want
BTW, I hope Presti realizes he has to hit on a lot of those picks to matter.
Really has become a trend in sports to praise GMs for getting so much draft capital when they haven't done anything with them yet,
Mannnn
Just found out the USFL replaced the Tampa Bay Bandits for a team called the Memphis Showboats
Lame
Glad I didn't give a shit about the USFL to feel sad about that.
isnt showboat something neggative?
Yes and no
Some people like showboats because cockiness can be entertaining occasionally
But they also mean it literally as their mascot
I'm naming my team the Saint-Hubert arrogants then
It makes sense for Memphis. That entertainment city
They're apparently on a "temporary hiatus" which I don't know what the hell that is supposed to mean
Didn't even know teams could do that
Guessing the stadium situation
But I guess because the USFL 2.0 is just entering it's 2nd year it's okay
still a weird way to name a team
does it have anything to do with boats?
Granted, they should've just called them the Kings and had Jerry Lawler as their logo.
I hope it isn't permanent, Bandits had cool unis
no more kings teams
Only one team should have a certain name
Has a rather large river next to it so I would imagine so
oh ok at least it makes sense
there's a walnut grove
call them the memphis walnuts
who's that?
Jerry the King Lawler.
Or trade them for good players
this is the only king allowed here
They can’t develop all of them
is he a fighter?
Pro Wrestler.
not a bad nickname
I wish sportsmen had cooler epithets
like the workhorse from whitehorse
like snooker players have some cool nicknames, other sports should try better
Concept art for the Showboats unis since they haven't officially been shown yet
the sheriff of pottingham is my favourite
doesn't show much but cool logo
It is concept art after all
this guy is called the homer simpson of snooker
Yeah too many are like king or goat
yeah we need to upgrade that
Or the great one for Gretzky
thunder from down under Neil robertson
Oh found a good one in hockey
the latvian locomotive

He didn't need to add the "special sauce" to that Whopper. This is what happens when you keep Matt Canada
Why you posting this shit man
I can’t stand this
The Czechs beat the Chinese 8-5 to win their first World Baseball Classic game.
Messi or Ronaldo?
Michael Jordan
Ronaldo
Scott Sterling
Because some people did it first
And i can
Can’t enjoy watching the Steelers offense
As part of his pitch to recruit Aaron Rodgers to the #Jets, star CB Sauce Gardner burned the cheesehead he rocked in Lambeau as teammates watched. Epic. (Please don’t burn anything at home, kids). https://t.co/i3oBIm2pDl

Lol wth, jets want rodgers that badly
BREAKING: The Flyers have decided to part ways with Chuck Fletcher. Danny Briere, former Flyer and current special assistant to the GM, will take over as interim general manager. Dave Scott on decision:

Ronaldo, O fenomeno, what a striker
LMAO @dim ledge https://twitter.com/theathleticfc/status/1634195951727308804?s=46&t=V-FYbVnsgTbrgHav7jZsiw
There was just a caller on WFAN who wants the Jets to sign Aaron Rodgers because his use of psychedelic drugs will combat the fact that Joe Namath sold his soul to the devil

The things New Yorkers come up with.
The New Orleans Saints have offered QB Jameis Winston a restructured deal to stay, per sources. Winston has until Wednesday to accept the offer because of the start of the league year or he will be released.

So jkimmmy g’s handsomeness will make the jets stop imploding?
At least people will watch their games
And not get crippling depression
Of course it's WFAN

CB Darius Slay and the Eagles had been negotiating a new deal. When discussions weren’t progressing, the Eagles told Slay that he could seek a trade if he preferred, per source. Slay didn’t request a trade, so it’s possible things could still come together.
Gonna take a wild guess and say if Philly does hire Patricia then Slay will for sure ask for a trade

Apparently they aren't gonna hire him
Sad
I really was hoping Id finally be rid of hik
Him
Lol

It's a 1-year deal worth a max of $6M for Graham to return to Philadelphia. https://t.co/NsSlxXCk5A
Man, Brandon Graham literally going back for nothing hoping for 1 more ring
Graham kinda mid now isnt he?
I listen every day bruh
Any New York metro sports fan who prefers espn to WFAN is a mental patient
AYOOOOO

Report: Tennessee Titans to Wear Houston Oilers throwback uniforms this season
Details right here: https://t.co/MEees6egdF
Yeah, they mentioned this a few days ago. It's gonna be against Houston for the lolz.
Yep should be cool
Gosh those are nice unis
They never should have gotten rid of them
Like you easily could’ve rebranded to the Titans and kept them
Just touched them up a bit
For whatever reason, they just wanted a full rebrand when they became the Titans.
Woooo !!!!
Just find it petty that Bud Adams was such a dick that he wouldn't let the Texans be the Oilers.
Yeah, although I will say they did well with the logo. Seems to be no need to change that
Wish Texans could figure out how to make their look be a little more memorable. I really like how the Roughnecks designed their helmets. Texans must be kicking themselves for that lol
Well then
He can coach the 1980s bears offense at the qb position
Only short passes and runs
At the very least he isn't calling any of our plays this year
Yeah but with him in the background only going to make the offense worse
As long as he has a hand it isn’t going to go well
Already reported he isn't going anywhere near the offense
O'Brien is running all of it and hand picked his offensive staff

@simple seal
Senior football advisor?
What can he advise on other than losing?
Idk that almost sounds worse
He's done it before but I honestly think he is pretty much out of any decision making
Patricia and Judge have pretty much been identified as the coaching problem last year
So they have been taken out of decision making positions and I think Judge just does special teams. Which he has done before
And was actually good at it
Yeah so he’s just like Sengoku at this point
Could be worse
Minus well being actually good at being a hc
@celest zephyr
49ers quarterback Brock Purdy underwent successful surgery on his right elbow today.
Good news
Yay

Every single WBC stadium environment is more electric than the next
Dude seriously, please just retire
It ain't worth it
Patriots’ S Devin McCourty announced his retirement:

@rustic mountain
Expected
I'll miss Devin. He had lost a step these past few years but the man is easily a pats red jacketer
Just means that Dugger becomes that more important
Another year where the Jays potentially blow another big lead in a game that matters.
Or the year our talent breaks through and all the offseason moves to fix our weaknesses pay off
I am optimistic about this year. Varsho's defense alone helps a ton, not to mention he and Keirmeir having finally some leftie bats
Can't wait for another Jay player to talk shit.
No one has said a word so far. People have tried baiting
But I think they finally learned their lesson
No more "movie" talk and all that dumb shit
Only shit talking has been Manoah calling out Yankees, which everyone everywhere should do
Somehow the Rays pull 95 wins out of their ass again.
That probably is gonna happen
Idk what voodoo magic the swamps in Flordia hold
But the Rays have it and it makes good pitchers
Lmao wtf I just found out about this what a horrible trade
Good pitchers, let's see how the Rays addressed the terrible hitting. Cricket sounds
The Wolves are big dumbos
Yeah I mean I get that
Like I get the man was a defensive beast but
The Jays did like some but not a lot to help the bullpen
I am hoping that outfield defense helps it
Gobert is like
Too big of a risk as well lol
A reserve all star
Yes
If it doesnt work out guess what? you dont have your pick
They must REALLY have a lot of faith in Gobert
Plus the shit he did with COVID made me lose respect lmao
Desperate teams really pay high for people who really aren't superstars.
Made me gain a little respect for him
Really? Interesting
I am liking that sports stars are becoming more comfortable with displaying love for anime
Well anime is easier to access than ever
But dude growing up as a dorky kid who loved anime and video games and books and getting bullied for it
I am slightly resentful
Lmao
Lmao
This was like
3-4 years ago though
Wait he had another one
Lmao I didn't even see this
He is French tbf so it makes sense anime is huge there especially one piece
Jamaal Williams of the Detroit Lions is very based though
It's even better when they ask them about it in an interview and they're excited to tell the story
I remember that Greek man in the olympics who did gear 2 pose
He looked excited in the interview to speak about it
Not spiteful or anything just kinda like "shit this couldn't have been cool when I was in middle school??"
It was popular where I lived when I was like 7 years old
Only Naruto tho iirc
But back then I never watched anime and didnt know what it was
I thought Naruto was just basc Avatar
Naruto was everywhere when I was a kid. lol
Yeah it was very dominant here as well I had never heard of any other animes
Though I think the first anime I watched is Spirited Away
At like 5 years old
But it was translated so I thought my country made it lol
I got into anime I think a little too young for my own good. lol Toonami really was blast back then.
Love me some toonami.
BASEDDDDDDDD
!!!!!
🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸
they’re gonna ruin their own pool?
KAWWWWWWWWAWWWWW BABY

That tweet made my day
now the DR games in Miami
I’m hype for
the Japan-Korea game was fun too
those teams could def beat the US
I am very intrigued by Japan's team
ohtani and nootbar leading the way
I am cheering for Canada but outside Freeman, not really much in the team
also trayce Thompson (yes brother of klay and son of laker legend mychal) is on the British team
That was sooo sick
Freddie Freeman was born in Cali but since his parents are both Canadian born he cohld play for them
that’s fair then
Interesting facts
I don’t mind if ur parents are from there
I’ve decided I’ll need to see a game in Japan if I ever get a chance
it’s just weird to me if ur doing it off some really weird technicality
I really really badly wanna see a Japanese league baseball game
the fans go crazy.. esp against Korea lmao
Ideally international cause it’s just that much more fun being the American dude in another nation
yea so they can respectfully boo u
Dude the highlights looked soooo fun
GOOD !!!
I’ll never forget being the only American in the barn against Finland and we beat them and I drunkly sang the anthem
Amazing memories
After my gf and I get married, I think Japan is one of our big vacations we wanna do. Gonna have to plan it for around baseball time
So sick man!!! That’s awesome
dw
I had a great time
I’m sure you’ll be fine
it’s def there but only slightly noticeable lol
Fuck em, they’ll get over it man. You’ll be good!! Can’t change idiotic people

Damn. You got a lot of plans coming up sounds like
Also has the best view of the whole city
So you can enjoy that after
isn’t this just a normal la liga match
yea bro
Wait
Sounds like la liga to me
Yeah? That’s dope
Idk
Did he just rage after the pen was scored
What even is the match
Cadiz Getafe
Pretty good return
Hell yeh buddy

Holy haul
Bryce Young, you are a Carolina Panther!
Too bad about the whole losing a big weapon thing tho

that Lille Lyon game looked good
They’re gonna get Levis because GMs are stupid.
Oh my word
I see either Young or Stroud
It’s hard for me to believe a GM in the NFL would be confident about drafting a 5-10 foot QB that high. Stroud could be picked too.
All I'll say is Drew Brees
I would be confident if it was Bruce young
