Amphibia S1 Episode 17-18 ||The episodes seem to finally hit for me after episode 17. The episodes developed the characters in a way that felt meaningful while also being legitimately funny this time. The train ruby episode's a favorite so far, it completely deceived me of the mustached mentor character up until the ruby was about to be taken. I got a good laugh out of it. And the robber was pretty legit a nice dude, even if he's a lying bitch. ||

Amphibia S1 Episode 20 ||I feel more or less neutral about the finale though, Sasha was explored kinda barely in Season 1, in the last episode and in that one earlier episode, and the big moment of Anne crying at the cliff of the castle didn't quite hit for me, even though I understand Sasha's intentions and place of joining the evil frog. One thing that hit though was the moments where all the frog citizens banded together to escape the castle. Every one of them had enough screen time for the moment of village unison to hit. It's pretty easy to guess where Sasha's arc is going, likely going to be redeemed later on. Thematically, this show has been about friendships and accepting one another. And with the S1 finale, it builds the thematic foundation to a nice start. I'm curious to see where the glasses girl fits into the themes of the show.||

halfway there through amphibia s2. it's just ok again. ||I did enjoy the friendship between Marcy and Anne, but the whole trip and the exploration of the big city was kinda meh to me, just felt like the usual episodic plots with a bunch of misses in comedy. It's getting a little stale. Kinda expected the gang ruining the city's culture to have massive consequences for latter plot, but it didn't happen yet. The mother scene was the first I seen the series go real raw in its emotional aspect, so I'm a bit curious where that plot point leads to. And that Marcy king cliffhanger too, but that's just gonna hang off for a while probably like with Sasha's deal in S1.||

The Dragon Reborn (Wheel of Time Book 3) ch 48 ||
Just got to the part where Egwene Nynaeve and Elayne all reach Tear.

Really liking the book so far, it has come a long way since book 1, has finally got me hooked.
The way the four separate storylines are all progressing independently yet there are references to them crisscrossing each other at brief points makes for a really interesting read. Really hyped to see what happens when they all finally converge in Tear.
The characters are definitely coming into their own and while I can't say I really like all of them, they definitely feel a lot more distinct and fleshed out than the previous two books.

The plot and the world-building continues to deliver, I hope we get more of the Aiel at some point because they are damn interesting and we barely know anything of them so far. And ofc Rand is an Aiel descendant so i expect we will explore that culture somewhere.

So far the highlight is the way Jordan is weaving the multiple storylines together, it feels really good and the prose is so smooth and free flowing and gorgeous. The world is rich and diverse and keeps getting more intriguing as always. Glad to see the characterization finally coming through

A solid read so far, and i expect it to only get better at the climax.||

amphibia s2 episode 18 ||bro, for once, I'm kinda frustrated by how stupid marcy is in giving the treasure box to the king. Even with the multiple lessons of not being careless in previous episodes, she'd still fully trust a king who I presume is trying to wreck humanity. The king got her hook line and sinker. What the big conflict is building up to for S2 is alright, but for how occasional plot can be generally in this series, there's not much to get hyped about aside from seeing what Sasha and King's plans will entail.||

||Sometimes, some cliffhangers are brought up and teased for some episodes, but by the time they arrive, I'm just like, oh ok. Like the one powerful frog robot that's been following the cast for so many episodes from the trip back to hometown, he just has one episode to cause conflict and then he just joins in an anti-hype way, without much to expand the character. The way things are handled are a bummer.||

amphibia s2 episode 19 ||The relationship "recovery" between Sasha, Anne, and Marcy is serviceable, but it was only two episodes to really get a real feel for the group dynamic. So IDK how I'm gonna feel when the big tight conflict between the king's desire to oust revenge on humanity (I'm just guessing this), Sasha's ego, and Anne's desire to come home comes for the S2 finale. The journey to that recovery has been pretty fun and hilarious though, I enjoyed band episode segment.||

||Feels like the meat of this story is only starting to show its colors 39 episodes later. So I guess I'm a little excited.||

amphibia s2 episode 20, major spoilers ||Ok, I'm actually pretty excited now. I knew about the power-up Anne deal, but I didn't expect Marcy to get killed, nor did I expect the king to just drop Sprig off the flying castle. The events were kinda rushed though, mainly cause how quick sides were switched constantly for Sasha, Anne, and Sam for what's been built up. 😂 It took 2/3rds of the series for the plot to really show itself, but now I'm really hooked. Feels paid off to me.||

Amphibia S2 end ||Hoping to at least see Marcy develop substantially before the series is over, cause from what I seen of the S3 intro preview tacked at the finale, she looks to be stuck in a chamber lab, so I worry her development will also be kinda shoved in without much to explore. The frogs getting to meet Anne's family, Anne going home again, Sprig's lost family deal, Anne power-ups, and Sasha's conflict are all interesting and are gonna be explored, but completing Marcy's arc is essential to making the story feel complete I feel. Dunno if I'm expecting too much though.||

oh how I wish Amphibia's last episodes were on Disney+ rn, cause I wanna binge this hard. But I gotta take it in slowly now. 😭
