Doctor Strange MoM spoilers ||I was really hoping the movie would end off in a way that somehow makes it clear we'll see more multiverse stuff or see some of those new illuminati characters appearing even if its as variants but doesn't seem like it. But there is a Fantastic 4 movie in production I believe and I still have hope they'll do something with inhumans ||

Was ok

Visually the best Marvel movie and every inch a Raimi film, just technically

Glad Raimi got to make the movie he wanted to but i wish it was better written

Dr Strange MoM spoilers || I really enjoyed the movie. Im glad they kept the horror elements and didn’t hold back despite the pg13 rating. A lot of the deaths were really gruesome especially black bolts. The visuals were a bit wonky at times especially in the first scene. The rest of the movie the visuals were fine though.

Going back to the horror elements- there are a lot of references to both lovecraftian and more modern horror movies. The scene with Wanda attacking the Illuminati covered in blood is similar to another horror film from 1976. These are just the two that stood out to me the most from references to other works. The rest was creepy to morbid like mr fantastic being turned to silly putty.

I do hope we see mr fantastic in the main universe. As well as a return of these kinda of movies in the future for the MCU. There was some jank but I think it could be a step in the right direction ||

Dr strange MoM ||I would say the main thing Im hoping for this movie is that it actually has impact. Going in a lot of people including myself were expecting to see big multiverse things happen, and it end on a note of like "more big stuff to come after x and y happened" but it felt like even with the inclusion of the Illuminati this movie didn't go that deep into the multiverse, and it didn't really end on a note of there being more to come.

That being said the post credit scene did include a character (not sure if I should mention her name) saying Strange caused an incursion, so maybe this movie will have a lasting effect on the MCU somehow. ||

I think i have more problems than the things I liked with this movie now that I think about it

Wandavision/MoM || a lot of problems came from exposition and how quick the presentation of the conflict was, plus the transition from Wanda's from what we saw from the show to this felt janky and just not done well for the most part||

Raimi tries to just make this actually good to watch and I commend him for that but the major problem comes from the whole deal with the MCU in general and how this film buckles from that weight from all the stuff before

As for the Kang thing yea Im hoping it connects back, though even with the credit scene Im worried it won't since recently none of the MCU shows and movies have been having noticeable effects elsewhere. For example Eternals had a bunch happen and even a celestial get frozen on earth but its not had any mention anywhere else and I don't suspect it will||

Captain carter cut in half and BLACK BOLT’s head friggin exploded. That’s nuts. The cameos in this movie were bonkers I did not expect to see John krasinski as reed richards lol. Got to say I wish Wanda used spells other than beam of exploding red light more in combat, that whole fight sequence with the octopus early on had so many unique spells from strange, but for the most part when Wanda fights it’s just big red light goes boom. Also what happened to 616’s mordo? Stephen mentioned that he tried to kill him but the poor dude got offscreened? Yikes||

Dr strange 2 ||this movie was totally unexpected. The amount of action, gore, jump scares (which honestly worked on me) was honestly great and I loved it all, also the fact that magic was differentiated as opposed to the first movie. The Steven vs Steven scene with notes used as magical weapons which changed the music depending on who was using it, zombie strange with a clear reference, flying fists, all cool af.
And Wanda, when she possed herself through dreamwalking and invaded the illuminati she was honestly scary, it wasn't the typical marvel wrong doing with the antagonist just walking in and out, she got her hands dirty, she was dirty, and limping at last wich added the thriller scensantion. And how she grotesquely kill the illuminati, oh man, the spaghettification of Mr fantastic was my favourite.
I also loved that you could notice Raimi's hand on this which brought back some nostalgia.
The plot was pretty simple, as per usual with marvel movies, but it didn't suffer at all, also because the action basically never stopped, which made the movie so much more enjoyable, and we still saw some character development of the main protagonists.

Overall great movie, 10/10,would watch again.

Dr strange ||to me it was just another marvel movie where the hero has to beat the bad guy and an introduction of a new character, which didn't personally struck a chord with me, America. The bad guy in this case being Wanda, sprinkled with some plot twists, like Wanda being a baddie was unexpected for me, also because I haven't seen Wanda vision yet, and also the illuminati treason, zombie strange.
So the plot was fine for me. I think it was well accompanied by the pacing, action non stop, with few occasions to progress on the characters in between the sensational marvel battles, and talking about battles I like the fighting choreografy of strange vs mordou, magicless but really cool.
Also I really like the "cool" thing that happened, you could see that some things were put into that movie just because it was cool, and I didn't mind at all.
Mm, I could complain only about one thing, America. She was kinda boring and uninteresting, besides her powers which literally make her interesting across the multiverse. But hey, I had dr strange, so cares about america||
