The book has been going a lot better since Caemlyn. I definitely liked the part where Rang meets Elayne and Morgase. For once, Rand's character as a completely world-unwise peasant from the boonies was coming through distinctly. Definitely an improvement.

Like the twist that's coming around about how Ba'alzamon seems to claim that the False Dragons with actual power were all set up by the Aes Sedai themselves.

Even if Nacho served his purpose in having Lalo killed in Mexico, he left him there to die. I think seeing Nacho again effected him, and when he agreed to give him up, he stormed out the room ||

Getting to know Lan's past was good, the final fight and all is kind of a haze and was average. Most of the book was pretty boring and predictable.

EoTW ||honestly apart from that one segment between Whitebridge and Caemlyn, the travelling was a great way to introduce us to the varying places of the world, from towns and forests and the Blight and cities and stuff. The travelling from Caemlyn to the Eye of the World was really good.||

EoTW ||I really really loved how Jordan handled telling us about the steddings. It was so organically woven into the story and the way we found out about in phases was just so natural yet exciting. Like we first find out from Elyas when he takes Perrin and Egwene into the stedding to hide that you can't touch or even feel the one power in a stedding. Then we find out from Rand's talks with Loial that Ogier are the natives of steddings, and then the information about the Ways when they need to be used and about how Steddings played a crucial role in the Breaking. Finally we get more, less relevant details like the politics of the steddings with the Ogier masters and stuff, and about the relationship between whatever the Green Man was and the Ogier. It was just so masterfully woven into the story you never get bored or overloaded with information by it||

EoTW/LoTR||one of my peeves with LoTR was that every time we were told of the significance of something it was usually some wise old ancient guy ( Gandalf, Bombadil, Elrond, Treebeard, you get the idea ) going on a 50 page monologue about how the world came to be and why it causes that particular event to happen. It just got a little boring and tiring by the end of the books.||

That's why I really like the way Sanderson and now Jordan handle lore. There are a few traditional lore dumps, but a lot of it is just intertwined with the story and the setting to discover on our own which makes it very engaging.

MK E5 || apart from being pretty confusing with the 3 different realities (the therapy session, the psych ward inside and the Duat), after 2 episodes of teasing the third personality this one had nothing. There's also so much unexplained stuff there's either gonna be only a partial conclusion in ep 6 or its gonna be so hurried and rushed that it's gonna be crap. Also don't agree with leaving an entire personality for the last ep. And it doesn't make sense how the scales balanced without the third personality being involved? Like you two can't have secrets from each other but there's a third guy who's hiding an entire part of your soul but it's alright since you aren't aware? It's just confusing and inconsistent||

MK e5 ||Still doesn't make sense, the heart came out of Steven, not the third personality. And it really doesn't make sense that if one of your dissociative identities are affecting the weighing of your soul, why the others won't. If Marc had to absorb both his alter egos then it would have kinda made sense since until that point it was 3 soul fragments on the scale and not 1 whole soul. Why only one personality needs to die to balance the scales is beyond me.||
