The Batman spoilers || I never thought I would have tears on seeing how epic a scene can be, which happened twice with this movie.
The car chase scene... it was just so great. It made me feel like I was in that scene, riding ig.
Then the part where Batman enters the above thing in that city hall, where the followers of riddler were. Just perfection.

I think I prefer the old Alfred more, this one just reminds me of the other popular character he played. Maybe its just due to how much time we spent with thiss one vs how much we spent with the other one.
This single movie felt more "complete" than the whole Batman trilogy, if that makes sense. We explored Batman's character, what Gotham is as a place and we had Penguin, Riddler and even Joker in it. But still I am not sure whether I put this above The dark knight or not. Can't really decide on that ||

What a great movie

||The good: I loved how much it felt like this was a movie taking place in Gotham. I've never seen a movie bring Gotham to life so well, and it truly felt like Matt Reeves ripped it from the comic books. I loved seeing a young Batman and also the entire cast was fantastic, even though I personally didn't love everyone's casting initially, I can't believe how well it worked and most all of the actors did a great job. Zoe Kravitz was the best part of the movie for me. Robert Pattinson was a great Batman, but he wasn't my favorite Batman. That is just me though and I do recognize what Matt Reeves was doing. By trying to introduce a Batman who's all about Vengeance, this movie was about teaching him how the city needs more to rebuild and needs hope, and make him more heroic, so while he is not my favorite currently, I am definitely open to him becoming a more fully formed and familiar Batman in the future. Also the mystery, oof. 10/10 for me. Excellent mystery. I saw a lot of the twists coming but that did not make it any less enjoyable. Falcone and Gotham's socialites being the true villains was really good. I love the theme of how privileged people are all corrupt and how The Riddler really wants to hold all of these individuals accountable. It was great.

The mid: I liked the Riddler as a villain, but it certainly didn't feel like Edward Nygma to me personally. From my experience, besides in Snyder's Year Zero, the Riddler is not some radical who would take action like this, nor is he a serial killer as his main thing. In this movie, they made the riddler a serial killer who happens to be telling riddles, but that's okay he was still an enjoyable villain to me all the same. I also thought that his little breakdown at the end of the movie was kinda stupid and I really didn't care for it.|| The Batman review (Part 1)

||The mid (cont.): I think the other thing that I didn't quite buy was Andy Serkis as Alfred. I know this was more akin to the earth 1 version of him, but also. Meh. I like soft-spoken Alfred better. However, Serkis did a good job with the material he was given to work with.

The bad: I did not appreciate how the character of Bruce Wayne essentially didn't exist. It's fine, I get what Matt Reeves is doing, but I also think that making Pattinson JUST Batman was a little much. We could have gotten some Bruce Wayne beyond the literally 2 scenes we got. I also did not appreciate sometimes how much the action glorified so much destruction and violence. This is a criticism of comic books for a long time, and I think this movie felt similarly gratuitous as Man of Steel did. I didn't enjoy that portion of it and it felt like it was in bad taste(I may be a softie for it, but please keep in mind that this is my opinion). I also thought that that Joker tease at the end (because let's not kid ourselves, that was totally the Joker) made me frown. I know people want a sequel and would want to be given something for it, but I personally would have been okay with the story just beginning and ending and being a complete story.

All of that being said, I fully appreciate what Matt Reeves is doing and I am here for his new vision of Batman. I can't wait to see what he does next. 7.8/10: Too much Batman|| The Batman review (Part 2)

And the rooftop scenes with the Gotham skyline and the one from the top of the GCPD were just incredible stupidly well created Gotham||

The Batman || I didn't like Penguin in this movie but given the reply harsh gave me, it just seemed due to my lack of understanding of how his character is supposed to be. What I know is as when Batman fights an opponent, he is fighting a part of himself and due to that notion, every opponent reflects some part of Batman. Penguin is supposed to be "excessive wealth, with which he is able to make or buy weapons on a grand scale", (from what I know of him) and this was very less pronounced in the movie.

Might just be due to him not being the focus or maybe my lack of understanding of his character ||

|| Well concerning the lack of Bruce Wayne, what I absolutely loved about the movie is the constant plot evolution that keeps you on the edge of your seat. It was scene after scene after scene. And also I liked the fact that I expected for him to show up as Batman when going to meet Falcone, but he didn't. I feel like the Bruce Wayne scenes were relevant and interesting, you could still see batman in him. I love that batman more than the playboy batman that completely switches personality. But again I'm no Batman connoisseur and I haven't read the comics.

Well concerning the glorification of violence, isn't that how Batman was at the beginning of the movie and changed at the end of it? "Revenge". Cuz else than that all I saw was Gotham being Gotham and Batman knocking people up instead of killing them. Heck he stopped Catwoman to kill Falcone || The Batman
