|| ah yes that's what I figured. It felt a bit fantasy at times (mostly cause of CGI improvements and such) but I like how they kept a lot of core factors in the movie, like choosing between the red and blue pill, dejavu, anamolies, programs, etc. even though some of them felt a bit mockery of the original trilogy at times. My only real issue with the movie was the story, despite the action and everything looking good, I didn't like how this was ended up being about rescuing Trinity. Like I just felt the basis of that mission didn't really matter in terms of the grand scheme of things. It wasn't until the end did they say they wanted to (ig) "rebuild the matrix" and "free people". But I feel they should've used that as the focus rather than just wanting to get Neo and Trinity out. Overrall though it wasn't bad, but they could've worked on develop the story in a more a substantial way || matrix resurrection

but tbh I might watch it again to fill in gaps cause I probably missed stuff

The Matrix Resurrections || I guess Lana Wachowski's main aim was to show that you don't need to be "The One" and have one person be important all the time, in finding love, a person can have a much greater power, impact on others and that's what the main theme is, "you're not alone, you don't have to be 'The One'" ||

|| true and I think it did a good job with establishing this thought at times, like when Jada Pinkett Smith and Keanu both agreed they didn't believe in the concept of the one. But at the end of the day, the concept is really just core programming. So it was nice to take that technical aspect and use Trinity to evolve it into something more than just what it was before through their bond. Though the theme is great, I just think it needed some support in the story telling || matrix ressurection

The M4TRIX || weird choices in this movie like recasting smith but overall i loved it. Doesnt have any of the great fights of the original trilogy but it delivered on the core of the movies (a love story between neo and trinity). Some really interesting ideas in this like neo creating his own agent smith morpheus hybrid. The robot civil war went no where which is lame but ok. I dont really get why they had to physically remove trininty if she needed to make the choice her self. Why not just give her a red pill. I loved the call backs to the original 3 both the flashbacks and the more subtle ones. Over all great movie and id love to see more.||

There's one thing about the new Matrix that bugged me when i thought about it, The Matrix Resurrections || the stakes on this one are kinda shit. The reason I say that is because of the way the gun choreography is done too—which is terrible—but also that this movie doesn't actually seem to have characters in the Matrix die, which is the opposite case of the first Matrix, even with a swarm on them whereas in the first one we see two people die because of 3 agents. Whether it is just an unwillingness to kill or whether it's just something intentional to imply that The Analyst just sucks I don't know, but that aspect is disappointing ||

Man.. the Matrix movie gets worse as I think about it

Just in technical aspects, the original cinematographer Bill Pope and Don Davis' original iconic score missing has impacted the movie a lot

|| I’ll honestly agree with this a hundred percent. The lack of deaths made the movie kinda cheese ball especially in the city fight and a death would’ve made the sequence come off more genuine || matrix resurrection

|| Like even in the original matrix at least we see people dropping from Cifer’s unplug, and that was only a sub-conflict. I mean that scene alone drove home the idea of people wanting to stay connected, way better than the Analyst just stating it at end. Like one of my favorite moments from the original is when Trinity challenges Cifers decision to go back into the matrix by reminding him that the matrix isn’t real and he responds “I believe the Matrix can be even more real then this place”.
