||honestly for me NWH is bordering 9/10. Just above an 8. I think it had a ton of strengths, but sandman, ock and lizard felt off and lackluster. And I feel like there should have been a sinister 5 fight, rather than just lizard, sandman and electro team up. Cinematography towards the end wasn't great, but there's some scenes that were near perfect like the rain/billboard scene. Goblin and electro were awesome, tobey and Andrew weren't problematic like I thought they'd be, and I think the end fight was a bit short along without having a sinister 5 fight. I think the method of curing them made it lack luster, what would have been better imo was curing them all at once, leading to an actual fight rather than mutliple short 1v1s.

No Way Home || pretty much the perfect fanservice movie, wiped the slate of the previous films effectively and is giving us a new Peter Parker who's more self sufficient. Liked how much more emotionally resonant the story was, there was much more at stake and it showed. Liked May's death and her arc over the three films but also, I do wonder about Uncle Ben. The villains were a cool addition to the chaos but I am disappointed by the Lizard, Sandman and Doc Ock, who I thought even as a good guy could do much more. Batalon and Zendaya were pretty good this time around. Humour felt a bit stilted, some jokes landed, some didn't, didn't mind them much. Actually am pretty satisfied by what we got from the cameos, Charlie Cox as Daredevil was ficking perfect and I loved how they used him in the scene as well, with the thrown brick being caught. Had tears streaming down my eyes when I saw both Andrew and Tobey on screen together, loved the conversation and moments between them. Would've liked it if they had some more interactions with the other villains more, especially Tobey with Dafoe. Overall, good movie, enjoyed it a lot, this is a theatrical experience most of all and I would suggest watching this on a big screen. This was the third film this year that satisfied me as a theatrical experience after No Time to Die and Dune. ||

No Way Home || speaking of technical side of the film, the performances were good across the board, particularly with Green Goblin who obviously is the highlight of the movie, but Tom Holland surprised me with his range, pretty happy what he got here with Peter. As mentioned above, Zendaya and Batalon were good. Wanted more from Strange and Wong but guess that's for Doctor Strange 2, but still, what they did to keep him away till the end was good so I'm not really disappointed there. Marisa Tomei and Jon Favreau were great as usual. All the villains did give a good performance but as I mentioned above, wanted more from Flint, Conors and Ock who despite being great here deserved a bit more than what resolution he got. Happy he got cured tho. Jamie Fox was good and got some good screentime.

Action wise, it was great. Loved how dynamic the action was, the hand to hand being the highlight, which again, Willem Dafoe particularly excelled in, bro chewed the entire scenery. Glad we got to see Holland throw hands, overall action left me with my jaw dropped for the most part. The fight at the end could've been better but I don't see much of a problem there. Cinematography was better than the previous MCU spiderman films but it still had some shots that irked me.

The music in particular was a highlight, in a huge way. It helped the movie soar and gave us ample amount of time to process each individual theme from each of the multiversal characters. Giacchino went above and beyond and this makes me even more excited for the Batman movie score. ||

||The villains were cool, but I felt really mixed about Electro. I know people didn't like his portrayal in TASM 2, but this version felt really divorced from the TASM 2 one. Very offputting considering they kept his backstory the same. A shame Lizard and Sandman took more of a backseat too, and Doc Ock def could've done more like you said. They did dang good with Goblin though, amazing performance.||

||Still, lotta cool moments, loved the banter between the Spideys, and I had a good time. Most emotional I've gotten with a Spidey film since the end of TASM 2.||
